    Just received my TTC450 w/ the upgraded spindle. For wire management I opened the chain and ran the new wire along side the original wires.

    I just got a TTC450 as my first CNC Router for my woodworking hobby and learning. The stock spindle is under powered, drew too much power from the controller causing it to crash when running. I did buy the 500W Spindle upgrade at the same time as the TTC450. While using the 500W Spindle upgrade cost you the ability to control speed from the software, it makes up by not over drawing power from the Contoller. The 500W Spindle changed the TTC450 from an ok CNC machine to a very good CNC machine. I have ran several projects on the TTC450, learned a lot, and so far I am a fan of the TTC450 w/500W Spindle upgrade.

      Good to hear about that first spindle. I didn't have trouble, but others did. The upgrade is pretty cool and I've again no problems with it. Just need more time to play. Wife says I already get too much play time with it LOLOL

    Thanks for this very informative video. It helped me a lot. I ordered the TTS 450 with the 500 watt motor (and the L5.5 watt laser) in a bundle. And I'm happy about that, because 80 watts (according to TT's website) for a router is actually a joke. Greetings from Berlin (Ge). 🙂

    Awesome Variable Spindle Drive.
    I usually set the collet on my spindle to just below the lowest part of the verticle travel assembly. That way no matter how tall a workpiece I have, I will not run the collet into the piece.
    Ask me how I know.

      @@SirTools Either the spindle collet or the bracket that extends to the bottom of the assembly. Drug that one across a table top once as I had a tall workpiece and had the router motor mounted to high up to compensate.
      Had to do some creative H2O application and sanding. LOL

    hi, i'm from Switzerland, and i have this "little" toy at home (it works great), and an other CNC (vevor 3040 working only with Mach3Mill). I'd like to change the ER-11 collet by a ER-16 because i've some tools they are in 7 to 10 millimeters.
    I've tried to unscrew the 2 littles black screws, but it seems the part over the collet is glued to the main motor axis. is it the same on yours?
    Thanks a lot for your videos, it' a pleasure to see theme

    Good day, Quick question, when you hooked up the New spindle , did you have a problem with the control wiring from the old Motor?? I'm asking Because I upgraded some time ago and I was just doing some repairs to my machine last night and I unwired my motor and I may have Mistakenly Switch the wires and now my spindle doesn't operate! so I think I may have Burned out the little relay inside the controller ? Did you experience anything like this? Please let me know thanks. Howard

    • @SirTools
      @SirTools  Год назад

      Hi Howard, you might have the spindle shut off in your software. I had no issues, but depending on which software you're using mine keeps shutting off the spindle until after I reset. Did you use the wire colors like mine ? I HOPE you didn't do the relay in. I do not think you did, but....mmm

    Good afternoon, could I ask you for a huge favor? I need to get a copy of the software (firmware) that came with this machine. I got mine about three weeks ago and the thumb drive was blank or my laptop will not read it. Two Trees has not got back to me and I'm very frustrated that I can't get my machine operable. If there is any way you can send me the files I would be grateful ! Your videos are awesome and I have learned a lot already about cnc in short time. thanks in advance, Howard

    • @SirTools
      @SirTools  Год назад

      Hi Howard and I hate to ask but are you using UGS ? The thumb drive or Micro SD card on mine had nothing on it. I simply plug my laptop in and run the CNC with UGS. Some programs will not work from 3rd party and so I import the G files into UGS to run the machine. Let me know what is going on and I'll try to help you out.
