- Hello, my lil' snickerdoodle! Today, I have a stunning, Adventurous Beginner to Intermediate level knitted shawl pattern to tell you all about. This gorgeous design comes in two versions - a narrow version and a wider version - and features a simple and relaxing, two-row pattern repeat. There's also optional beading, which really takes this beautiful shawl to the next level!
In this video, I demonstrate how to work the Old Norwegian cast on, how to knit the border rows, how to knit the sections in the body of the shawl, and how to add beads, if you choose to do so.

I've never worked with beads white knitting but have used them in cross stitch. This pattern is exquisite and will be added to my long list of projects to complete.
Oh my, how beautiful! I have done a shawl with beads before and absolutely loved making it! It was a gift for my cousin who has since passed away. Her husband gave most of her shawls away, but he said he wanted to keep that one, which made my heart happy.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE patterns with beads.. I just finished Terebinthia (scarf version) for my mom for Christmas and she was blown away by all the beads and was in shock that I could even knit with beads at all… What I love about beads is that it’s really not hard at all to add them to your work and they always make the project just look so spectacular and everyone is always so stunned by them…! I am currently finishing up the MYSA wrap which of course has beads.. Long story short I love beads, any knitting pattern with beads I will DEFINITELY do..!!

This is such a lovely shawl both colourways are wonderful. It is so hard to choose which one to do. I have used the allure fingering before when I did the Find Your Path shawl and my daughter loved it. It is so soft and dreamy to knit with. I have not done beading as of yet but it is something I would like to try. I do have quite a few different beads which I received in some of the Yarn Clubs i purchased. Also thank you to Pam for creating her debut pattern which is stunning, looking forward to seeing more of her designs in the future :)

This is so beautiful, in any version - wide, narrow, beaded or not. And SILK! So amazing. I've only used beads once, and there were only two dozen. It was for one square in a patchwork sweater based on the Harry Styles one, but every square was different. In all I used about 90 yarns, and one square was of pure silk yarn. Loved the feel of it, it's like nothing else. Thanks for another beautiful pattern.

Yes, I have worked with beads before. I made a scarf full of beads. It did make the scarf a little heavy, but it was just beautiful. It's a lot of work, but the finished product is worth the effort. This shawl is just gorgeous and the yarn is fantastic. Love it.
