    Notes From the Designer:
    •I am such a fan of patterns that are simple to work but produce a stunning result. This is a fantastic design for knit night or travel knitting. You’ll feel quite meditative and tranquil when working this wrap. I called it “Worth” because I want you to remember how worthy you are of a beautiful life. You aren’t meant to struggle. You aren’t meant to feel terrible about yourself or your life. You hold the reins to your life. You are the creative force that calls into place the pieces of your life. As you work this wrap, allow your mind to clear and let ideas flow to you. Write them down as they come! Then begin to dwell on those new creative ideas, speak about them and start taking action. Your thoughts/words/deeds create your life. And you are worthy of a beautiful life.
    •This pattern is designed to be a fun, creative expression! Please don’t stress about exact colors or yarn weights - just choose any yarn you love, a needle size that feels comfortable with it and knit away, changing colors as you desire.
    •You can knit this pattern as-is if you love the wrap look, or cast on half the number of stitches and you'll make a scarf. Or, cast on twice the number of stitches and work fewer rows and you'll have a precious knitted baby blanket!•Click the video tab to watch me make this pattern! I show you the stitches close up as well as how we chose the colors.

    I came across this video on New Years Eve and had a little emotional moment. I'm casting on today, and I will be channeling your motivational message while I knit! I've been knitting for a decade, but I've never made myself anything. So this year is the year I make things for myself, and this will be my first project.

    This pattern could be a fun way to document a child's progress from grade school to high school to college, by using their various school colors for the blends - hopefully they'll either be harmonious , or joyfully chaotic without clashing. On the internet we click a little heart and "love" posts, or items, or patterns. I just want to come right out and say I love you, for your generosity, your creativity, your positive messages, and your honesty about the negative times. It's very clear that you are a businessperson who's first priority is truly the people you reach out to, be they customers or not. Thank You.

    I love you and your channel!! You are such an excellent teacher! My daughter and I took knitting classes together for about a year and a half. You make me want to start knitting my butt off! Thank you so much!

    Very cool. This is totally the knitted version of the crocheted moss stitch so now, I'm psyched. I just started learning to knit & this feels wonderfully familiar. As I'm learning, I find I like to follow a fairly complex pattern but, I also need a break with some repetitive practice. This looks like my jam. 🌻 Oh ... the stashbusting possibilities ... 💜 Thanks Chandi for the excellent tutorial & the positive words. 😀

      ExpressionFiberArts yay ,I signed up for an account and will eventually order something probably a pattern first to make sure it gets to right address. Me and husband have moved to a condo and mailboxes are confusing but we still have P.O. Box I have an Amazon Prime account I wasn’t sure if you took that ,I saw something Amazon.
      I downloaded a free pattern Secret Meadow Shawl, the pattern looks easy,I was gifted some yarn for my birthday coming up so I’m going to try it.
      You have a picture wearing it I’m just wondering how it will look styling it. I’m hoping the yarn I was given works ,it’s extra-fine Merino and silk the gauge matches and the crochet hook size matches the yarn just looks thinner.
      Anyway thank you for always responding and as always I check and can’t wait for a new pattern to add to my bucket list. ❤️❤️

    Hey Chandi, I love this wrap and am anxious to make it. If I wanted to make it just a tad wider, is it a multiple of 2?

  • @JHa
    @JHa 4 года назад

    I'm curious if using two different colors for each section gives the wrap more width or if blocking it when you're finished gives it the width. I am using the same kind of yarn (the Moon colorways from Expression Fiber Arts because why not?!) but when I used the size 7 needles to cast on 112 stitches like it said to, it seemed to be more narrower. I went up a needle size when I tried again and it seemed to be wider. But also it seems to be wider in the video as well. But it could be because our dear Chandi looks like she's a very petite woman and I am very much the opposite.

    • @ExpressionFiberArts
      @ExpressionFiberArts  4 года назад

      Hmm the only thing I can think of might be gauge differences - does your gauge match that shown in the pattern?

  • @JHa
    @JHa 4 года назад

    I don't know if this is a video too old to comment on about possible future videos, but what about one on different ways to hold the yarn between your fingers to keep tension. I've been learning to continental style knit and always seem to have a bit of an issue with keeping the right tension, especially when I'm purling.

    Chandigarh, just love your videos! Don’t know if you’re gonna read this post, it’s been a long time sube you showed us the Worth wrap. I started today a swatch and made a mess when adding the third color 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️. Had to undo the whole thing - not too much, just 17 rows of 20 stitches each. Any tips on managing the difference colored yarns so to avoid a huge mess?
    Thanks!

      I'm happy to help with that. Try using different containers for your skeins like bowls or ziplocks. THat should help with the tangling. 💕

    Me encantan todas las prendas que haces, pero no se tejer con dos agujas y trato de hacerlas en crochet y no me quedan tan lindas

    Hi shandi which yarn weight is good to knit for heavy winter garments like shawls cowls sweaters cardis socks . I get cold pretty easy and i need to stay warm

    • @ExpressionFiberArts
      @ExpressionFiberArts  4 года назад

      It comes down to a few thing, such as the tightness of the stitch, the content of the yarn, etc. But in general, the heavier the weight the warmer fabric it produces. So, if you want to make warmer items Worsted is a great way to go. ❤️

    It would be nice to get a close up look at the finished sample that stays on screen longer than a half second. I couldn't get the video stopped on that spot to get a good look.

    How do you switch colors smoothly? No tails or knots?

    • @ExpressionFiberArts
      @ExpressionFiberArts  5 лет назад

      I have a video on how to alternate skeins while knitting. This will help to minimize the amount of knots and tails in your project. The same concept can be used for changing colors in your project. You can find the link - here- ruclips.net/video/P7mIozVya6k/видео.html
