I think it's absurd that there are hard lines. The entire point of diet is to make one healthy. So one can mainly eat meat and drink coffee. While technically it isn't entirely "carnivore" as coffee isn't meat...ugh. who cares? Eat what works for you, don't follow a label.
Going carnivore has healed my autoimmune issues, when all else failed. Plus, I'm more fit and healthy than I've been in year's. Maybe ever. Glory to God.
I did great on the Carnivore diet but I was constipated a lot and my cholesterol was creeping up so I stopped. Need to find a better balance I suppose.
High cholesterol has never been shown to be connected with any adverse health affects but the exact opposite. Over 70% of all people who develop heart disease/failure/stroke or have a heart attack have low cholesterol. And the reason you were constipated is because your fat intake was not high enough
Carnivore can be considered anything from 70% up to 100% meat. Though you'd probably call 70% more meat based or carnivore based. I go between these percentages sometimes eating salads, veg and carbs and sometimes not, depending what I fancy to eat. I don't agree with carnivore zealots saying you gotta do this or that. You ain't 'gotta do' nothing! But saying that, stricter carnivore can have more health benefits so find what works for you.
I am given to understand that alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an essential fatty acid is only available from plant sources. How can a crnivore survive without alpha-linolenic acid (ALA)??
Why do people think all or nothing eating techniques actually work? I am concerned that certain trends that Podcaster and other social media Influencer are pushing these diets. I really wish more Registered Dietitian would create content that could compete with these individuals. Most people know that they should eat more fruits and vegetables but yet seek other more extreme methods because they seem easier.
There was a study just completed from Harvard medical, an very extensive and long study, peer reviewed. It was based on basic meat and three veg diet etc... they compared this diet to others, veganism, vegetarian etc etc. The outcome was that the healthiest diet for longevity was plant based with some fish. They found that if you adhered to that diet you will live 15% longer than meat and three veg. Amazing!
The Harvard Medical is a bunch of morons all those Harvard people had to do is eat meat for 30 days and see what happened to their body instead of trying to use other people for a guinea pig they should have done it themselves What a bunch of morons

@@ChadR13 Well, through the lens of ecology, nature conservation or sustainability research, meat production is a huge problem, which includes but by far does not end on its impact on world climate. It's simply a matter of CO2 imprint and land use efficiency and intensity. Live stock needs food which is produced in very intensive not sustainable ways, and takes away land that could be used for human food or conservation. And animals produce a lot of greenhouse gas as well as nitrogen and other toxic waste due to animal pharmaceuticals. I don't eating meat is bad.
