- This is a short video explaining how to replace the fuel filter in a Ford F150. Its no too difficult, and I know that you can do it, so get under there and change that dusty filter!
This video helped me out so I am leaving a like
Good man kept it short simple and to the point.
Much obliged.
i have never struggled harder on anything than the "quick" dosconnect fuel lines on a ford f 150
This is not the location on my 09 f150
when i saw it under 1 minute , i knew this is my video ! straight to point thanx ^
Thank you for this video but there is no way it can be this simple. Does it not start draining the gas tank when you pull it off? what do you use to plug the fuel line?
It’s this easy, may be a little fuel drain but not much, just whatever is in the lines
Thank you Sir
So I have a king cab f150.... so... there is an extended hose in front of the blue connecter hose... so it goes -regular fuel line, fed into an extended hose, fed into the fuel filter. The extended hose has a red fastener around where it connects into the fuel filter, and I cannot figure out how to get it off.... any suggestions?
Is this a 5.0 2014 ? I put mixed gas into the truck n went kaput a mile down the rd ..
Howdy, what year and engine model is the truck in the video?
As mentioned in the comments, 2015 to 2020 (I think that's right) service manual states "a lifetime fuel filter providing filtration to protect the fuel injectors from foreign material."
/rant I F'ing hate in tank fuel filters, LET US CHANGE OUR FILTERS /rant
Where you get the tool
Would this be the same procedure for a newer 2019 ecoboost model?
Thanks bud!
more 300zx content my friend
Why did you change the fuel filter?
Just customer requested maintenance
Do the year and engine size matter? I have a 2019 with a 2.7 V6 Ecoboost
It helped for the tool to eventually get for other stuff to pull lines off. I've got the 2016 f150 Ecoboost and I've been reading the manual for this filter to be in the tank and not serviceable as it's claimed to be a "lifetime filter" I beg to differ. Especially when the catalytic converter cleaner is ran though the tank to clean fuel and engine. That cleanup process has to go somewhere right? So any ideas for the in-tank fuel filter and or pump assembly and I'll be all ears
