Ford F-150 Fuel Filter Replacement! Also A Tip To Extend Your Fuel Filter Life! Dairle Auto Classic Restoration Repair #fuelfilter#gasfilter#fordfuelfilter
great video. someone told me once that the system is pressurized and you have to take it to the dealer or a mechanic to replace the fuel filter for safety reasons. this video definitely proved other wise. as for the tanker at the gas station, i agree. i make sure to remind my kids as well to just pass them by if they are filling the tanks. not worth the trouble. thanks again for the great video
My f-150 is having start up issues.... It will start for 3-4 seconds then die out. I had it set on the grass (lawn) for over 2 months... now It won't start... I am thinking it could be a fuel filter... do you see this happening a lot with vehicles that are parked on the grass? I appreciate your blessing at the end of this video. Thank you.
Thank you for your comment! That is interesting. Normally parking on grass has no effect on starting. If you keep your foot on the Gas pedal. Will it keep running. If so, it sounds like you may have a Bad Idle Control. If that's the case. Get it from a Ford Dealer not your local parts store if possible.
Yes Sir, it do matter. Alot of vehicles past 2017 don't even have a external Fuel Filter. The Fuel Filter most likely is in the Gas Tank with the Pump.
@@dairleautoclassicrestorati6892 I imagine you are right but that sounds like a horrible problem for me. Just this model? Who thought that would be a good idea?
@@damastagamer If I'm reading my service manual correctly, the 2018's have a lifetime filter in the tank that does not need to be serviced or replaced.
Never thought about the gas station tip. Thanks.!

Great post! I have a 98 F150 that I always unsnap the filter from the retainer spring. Your method of unbolting the spring is much better!
Very detailed video this guy knows what he's doing. Worked well for me keep up the good work man.
Thank you Sir 😊
Great video, I now know I can perform this change-out myself and save time and money in the process!

Do you have to bleed off the fuel system pressure?
No sir,
Just turn on your Ignition Switch and wait 3-5 seconds and start vehicle. You should be good to go.
U show the struggle
Do the year and engine size matter? I have a 2019 with a 2.7 V6 Ecoboost

none of those tools worked for my f250 I just cut everything off and put a piece of 3/8 hose and clamps - done !
😂 I feel you.
What year F-150 was this?
1999
Where do you get a tool like that for removing the fittings?
Your local auto parts store will have it.

What is that tool called?
@pablosedillo9368 it's called a Line Disconnect Tool. Here is a Harbor Freight SKU# 38732.
love the southern accent, lol
i put a new fuel filter on then had a mechanic put new fuel pump in tank and now sometimes there is a gas leak under the engine advice for me ?
Where is the leak located?
OK I'm really dumb but I can't find the filter to replace it. Left side? I've checked all under the left side. It's a 2010 Canadian truck. Help!?!?!
If I am not mistaken. On a 2010 your Fuel Filter is internal. It is inside your gas tank.
