- The massed bands and bugles of the British Army's Rifles Regiment performed the Sounding Retreat at Horse Guards Parade in Westminster over June 1 and 2 in 2016, to thousands of spectators.
This film was played on the big screens prior to the performance, to give the audience an idea of what the Rifles Regiment is all about.
I can't wait to join the British Army
Why.. If you think you can pass an Infantry selection course, you can do ANYTHING, so don’t waste your life learning to kill people in foreign countries. You have the balls to make it anywhere. Don’t take other peoples advice, listen to you own mind.. Go get a rucksack and travel the world carve out a life for yourself. Peace.

Now that’s soldiering
Very true, most civilians will never take control of a situation or indeed actually engage with what they are being payed to do, “not my job” unfortunately is a common theme in our privileged society; everyone seems to know their rights but not their responsibilities.
Once a Rifleman always a Rifleman!
Swift and bold!! I'm hoping my application is accepted for September.
What rifles you joining?
Why....
i am in the army cadets and i am in the rifles

I have heard from a rifleman 2 years into his career, he started out full of hope promise, job he always wanted, but detect some dissolution with what it is delivering, to me the whole set up seems a farce, very little to do, seemingly no direction, lack of equipment, woeful lack of concern about welfare, broken washing machines, no cooking facilities, low moral, serious drug / drink issues.
A requirement to buy your own kit, seems unfair on those such as new recruits on low salaries.
Nice promo videos, visit skill build or other such career shows and you will see what a great job the army is.
Choose your career carefully I would suggest
I call bullshit on it all
Kit is given to people , there is a cook house in every single camp in the army.
Yeah you can not cook in the accommodation but that's due to fire orders not because of the army.
Broken washing machine yet bullshit again. The washing machines are brought from a civi company. Soon as one breaks it get replaced within a week.
So the riflemen you spoke to is clearly not trying you the truth.
If you really want to see I will show you myself so !!!!!
There’s absolutely no requirement to buy your own kit, some squaddies do because they choose to do so, personal choice.
