Wonderful!! Scots regiments have won so very many honours over the history of GB, and that should never be forgotten or neglected. As a sasanach, I thanks you, the Scots nation, for the military music and your sacrifices.
I saw Perth in the title and thought of Australia. I served in Iraq and worked with Australian forces as a deployed American. 2004. Saluting you all. o7 That's a great parade makes me think its for all those who served there, if I may.
UP THE JOCKS! Finest line infantry soldiers in the world, with a reputation that goes before them. As Gen Gordon said to Wellington at Waterloo when Wellington complimented his Highlanders, "Damned forward fellows with a bayonet Wellington!" Absolutely. RESPECT to the Scottish soldiery from England! Many thanks to 3 Scots for playing, 'Glenduruel Highlanders,' the regimental march of the now defunct Liverpool Scottish Regt. No sight more noble than Highlanders on the march!
I have sooooo much love for these soldiers ... who represent the heartbeat of Scotland and of course Great Britain .... these are OUR boys and NOTHING will be allowed to stand in their way or their best interests as far as i (and others) are concerned
My Grandfather, Willie Ross joined the Royal Highland Regiment aka The Black Watch in Perth in February 1914, 6 months before the outbreak of World War 1. Although badly wounded he survived 4 years in the trenches of the Western Front . He returned home a very changed man and sadly took his own life in 1923 when my mother was just 2 years old. My Grandmother remarried and never spoke of Grand dad again. Thanks to the Ancestry website I have his army records available online, so I know about his service. Thanks Granda’ .
Thats a one well tuned machine there. When the leader saluted the old vets at 6:00 it warmed my heart. God bless you boys from the USA. Proud to be on your good side.
I am playing this on New year's eve 31 12 2023 as the sound of the pipes brings tears to my eyes. I am Welsh but we are kin. God bless you all for serving our country in 2024
I was surprised by this video when I first saw it ... I was amazed by the bagpipe how it turned into a war machine in the hands of these soldiers, their pace accelerated, the rhythm, the melody, and the hardness of their bodies ... Everything changed and the bagpipes is adapted with them after I watched it in different scenes.. I thought it was a civilian machine to entertain and enjoy, but it proves to me that it can become a war machine that broadcasts the enthusiasm of fighting and discipline among soldiers ... It is truly a wonderful and amazing musical instrument.👏👏👏👏👍
Magnificent, beautifully captured again. You seem to get the best choice of spot to film. Great to see the soldiers in uniform performing with the bagpipes. First time I have seen that. They march with tremendous pride. The streets were impeccably clean as they marched. Well done again Sir.
AS an Englishman i love the pipes and drums. My great uncle served with two Scots Regiments in ww2, an Englishman who was a Sergeant in ww2 and after in Palestine at or near Haifa. Gilbert Parker RIP.
@@johnwatt5921 His cap badge which my grandmother gave me was a Stag with Bydand, i do not know which Regiments but she did mention Gordons and Seaforths
Spent some time at Catterick Garrison with junior NCOs from the Black Watch who used to play bagpipe music on their music system whilst we cleaned weapons, made my Celtic blood tingle every time and I loved it.
Many years ago I studied under the great Pipe Major Alexander "Sandy" Hain of the 1st Batallion Black Watch. He really helped me excel in piping. He was a top notch guy. Our competition band wore the official Black Watch regalia.
I am getting really fed up with "photographers" who think they have to get inside the column for their pictures. Very disrespectful, and someone will trip one day and get trampled.As shon here it is possible to capture the event by keeping ahead and clear.;
Our Scottish soldiers don't need WMDs. The sound of the pipes and drums alone is enough to scare the shit out of any enemy and send them fleeing over the horizon. No wonder in WW1 when our regiments wore kilts when going into battle the Germans called them "The ladies from hell"!
My Father was in Black Watch in 1930"s,he got called back up for WW2 but got captured in northern france in1939 near cherbourg. Anytime he heard bagpipes tears would come to his eyes..
Being US Marine (69 -72) I see there esprit de corps, there dedication to there nation.. and it breaks my heart that young fellas like this all over the world have to go and die for some dirt that some old idiot politician say is his..or wants to make some other ridiculous point.. why can't the leaders of all thes country lead by example.. there's a good reason the black watch played at JFK's send off. a long history this regiment has. one you can't help be respect even if you are a pacifist like me who despises war. If you're ever here in scotland I suggest you look about for a play by the name of The Black Watch. you won't regret it.
I'm not sure why the actually pipers aren't wearing kilts but a few down the back were. What are those boots that those feel wearing the kilts were wearing?
They are all soldiers so wear their combat boots, but the standard bearers and guard have white 'spats' over their boots as they would wear for ceremonial duties.
Amazing amazing amazing THANKYOU THANKYOU deep down. I thankfor all the work strength 🙏🙏 time creation skills & bros & sisters bless yas all 🙏💯💪🏻🏴
Correct. You check behind you on patrol to ensure the man behind you is indeed still behind you. It also helps in keeping the spacing between men correct.

These boys are looking good! I’m a US Army Veteran that did 3 tours in Iraq and would be proud to march next to these warriors!
I just wish our US cousins would welcome and thank the troops who came home in the same way. just a thought.
From a scale 1 to 10 how scary was it?
From Spain, nice to meet u and thanks for do it. Sorry my English
I agree but why can your guys not march
I completely agree with you
I would never want to be on the wrong side of these guys, especially when the pipes are sounding. When they come, you go. Cheers from the USA!

Why do they keep turning or looking around? Is it because in a real battle they want to make sure the rear is not being attacked? Anyone know?
Yes, they were acting as they would on patrol, checking the rear as they marched.
check the man behind you and if your the last man check theres noone following them basically
