NEW!!! PLEASE READ: We have made an adapter that will work with HP Elite 8000 Series that will work right out of the bag, no need to re-arrange the pins. Use this link ... bit.ly/2Df4Qnn
Summary:
This is 24Pin to 6pin PCIE adapter. With this adapter, you can convert any standard 24Pin ATX power supply to work with your HP computer.
It is compatible with HP Elite desktops, HP Z workstations, and other HP computers.
This is what it looks like right out of the bag and it will work with HP Z220, Z230, Z240, HP 6200 MT, HP ProDesk 600 G2 SFF and HP EliteDesk 800. This green loop
here is to bypass the 515 fan error message so you don't have to press F1 every time you boot up the computer.
To make it work with HP Elite 8000, 8100, 8200, 8300, the pins need to look like this. See the difference? Let me show you how to rearrange it.
Use a paper clip and press firmly at the of the holes and gently pull the wires at the same time. This is what it looks like inside. You wanna get this part to flatten so it
will slide out. When you put it back in, make sure it hear that click sound otherwise it's loose like this.
You connect this 24Pin to the power supply's connector.
You connect both of these 6pin connectors to your HP motherboard.
You can get more information about this product from the comment box below. Feel free to leave any comments, I will definitely respond.
Don't forget to subscribe and thanks for watching! Хобби
I spent all day trying to eliminate the 515 fan error, and HP told me I had to go to a PC technician cause they could not figure it out. They said there is something wrong with you fan. I saw your video, and it was the only one that spoke about the loop. So I tried it and it worked. Well done, and thank you.
Finally someone who shows how to change the pin layout. Thank you.
Thank you. This is by far the clearest video on this subject, and the only one I saw to mention shorting the fan pins. I did have to switch the order to be reverse what you have here for my particular HP 8300. Fortunately, none of the wrong configurations I tried seem to have destroyed my computer.
thank you guy. it worked
thank you for saying that rhe 8200 are in the middle no one said that
does it work on hp 8300 like on the video ?
Awesome video finally i have good details how it goes wanted to change the psu on my pc but wanted to make sure how everything works outs thanks man
Thank you! You are great!
This Adapter cable worked for my HP Elite 8300 , no PINS re-arrangement needed, used the original layout just the way I received it ( White Flat Connector, from pin#1,BLACK,RED,YELLOW,GREEN, and the last two, pin#5 and pin #6 are jumper together). No CPU Fan Failure at boot up. I did tried what the video suggested in the beginning but it did not work with my 8300. After reading review post in Amazon about this cable, the original lay out of the pins work just fine with my PC. Only one slight problem, fitting my 520 watt power supply into the HP Case, drilling time. I am also using a 4Gb Zotac Video card, its the reason why I needed to upgrade the PSU.
Thanks Aya Group for the adapter.
Hey @localh your HP elite 8300 comes with i5 or i7? Do you used the 24 pin or 20 pin configuration cable from your PSU ?
My HP Elite 8300 came with i7 and the power supply i am using has the 24 pin configuration. I hope this help, I was about to return the adapter till I gave it another try.
@@localh Thanks for your answer! And It's pretty cool you finally can use the adapter, in my case nope :( I swear you I've tried all the possible configurations for the F$%& pins but nothing.... It's really weird that the fans rotate at full speed...I don't know....hope AYA responding me soon, any way, thanks again! and Regards!
I had the same thing happen to me I had to buy a motherboard and it works now

I really respect how much you help others. Found a schematic or two. I'm checking every pin I can. lol. omg. Don't forget there is a 5v to 12v voltage reg. step up on it. So I have a HP Compaq Elite 8300 CMT (Convertible Micro Tower). And I will dig in when MODDIY arrives but you are 2nd source confirmation.
The voltage regulator step up threw me tonight but I get it now. And they're not that different.
Moving to a nicer case.
For the rest of you your probably going to be confused until you look at the schematic(s) there are two on the web. Not far of a search.
That is my last HP ever.
I will build my own f/ here on out.
Is it something I need to be concerned about?
thanks a lot man
*Thank you* 👍👍👍👍👍
Now we need some 24pin ATX to 7pin pwrcmd adapters premade for other HP systems. These look like JST PH 2.0mm 7 pin female connectors?
In your video it is said that the Green Wire Loop is required for HP 8300 tower but in your listing on website the Green Loop wire is not visible. Can you confirm .
I bought the adapter for the elite series even though I have an HP pro desk 600 g2. (This adapter wasn’t available). I assume I can do the reverse of this and get the same results.
Your info is wrong about pins and about bypass loop for 8x00 series CMT.
For 8x00 series at 00:51 if we start from left this is how the pin arrangement goes. Forget about colours as they can be different for different after market adapters. Just arrange pins as below.
Pin 1= Ground (can be taken from any ground of 24pin atx connector) - Black wire in original connector and Empty in some 8x00 CMT models.
Pin 2 = Empty - Empty in the original connecter.
Pin 3 = Power Ok(Power Good) - Grey wire in original connector
Pin 4 = Power On - Green wire in Original connector
Pin 5&6 = Jump to remove 515 error - white and white with red strip in the original connector.
This configuration works for 8x00 CMT. I am using it.
Damn, I was stuck and your comment helped me get my 8300 CMT working with a 600W PSU & cheap Aliexpress adapter.
Boots fine, with no PSU fan not detected error! (Nvm, I get it sometimes, I really need to bridge both pins then)
Now the colors in my adapter were nonstandard but I just followed the standard ATX 24-pin 12V Power Supply Pinout and was lucky enough that the 24PIN part of the connector has the numbers of the pins labeled on the plastic.
In case someone else has the same adapter I got, where it's got a gray, black, yellow and blue wire right in the middle, leaving the first and 6th pins empty, here's what I did.
Firstly double check where the colored cables that go into the little white HP 6 PIN connector come from the large 24 PIN Mobo connector.
I took out the Yellow cable PIN 18 (Ground) and put it into PIN 1 of the HP connector.
Took out the Gray cable PIN 8 (PWR-ON / Power Good) and put it into PIN 3 of the HP connector.
Left the Black cable PIN 16 (PS-ON# / Power Supply On) into PIN 4 of the HP connector.
Left the Blue cable PIN 17 (COM / Ground) into PIN 5 of the white HP 6 PIN connector.
Left PIN 6 of the HP connector empty.
Hi. What is the pin order to work in the HP Elitedesk 705 g3 SFF? How can I check if it is correct before plug it in my mobo?
Hello, I wonder if you have an adapter for the HP pavilion Desktop TP01-0066 model. I would like to know if you have one for this pc or which one works for this one and if I could avoid the error message. I need one to update my pc.
Purchased Adapter cable for HP Elite 8300 and have several problems:
1. Didn't receive the fan error bypass loop
2. looking perpendicular to the six pin towards the PSU, the wires are empty, empty, gray, green, white, red & white stripe. Need to know how to arrange the adapter wires.
3. Your adapter cable is a 24 pin female. My PSU is also 24 pin female. Do you know where I can get a male/male adapter?
Does this also work with the hp compaq pro 6300 ?
The title says this will work for the 8000, but the webpage to which you linked doesn't mention that model. Will it work for the 8000 CMT?
Hi and thank you
From the HP Elite 8200 Technical specification, and from looking at the used pin outs on the board it seems for the CMT that the pins are
Conn Pin 1 Pin 2 Pin 3 Pin 4 Pin 5 Pin 6
P1 RTN RTN -12 V +12 Vmain +12 Vmain +12 Vsb
P2 FANcmd Fan Speed PS On Pwr Good Rsvd Rsvd
P3 RTN RTN +12 Vcpu +12 Vcpu
Plug three looks all good, but plug two looks like it can be used without altering the pins, plug one looks like the adapter is sup[plying +5v not +12v (but this is a control voltage so may be OK)
Can you use your cables as supplied for this
Thanks
will it work with Dell Inspiron 3268 SFF desktop. It also has 6 pin ATX power supply.
Hi, THX for the video, But one more quetion, the cables are color coded?. I mean : yellow = 12 v,red = 5v etc?
Want to ask will it work hp compact elite 8300
So I got one of these for my HP Prodesk 600 G1 TWR but it didn't include the loop to bypass the fan error. If I put a paper clip or something to short out those pins, will the error go away?
Did it work using paper clip?

I need an adapter for the HP Prodesk 600 G2 MT PSU
I have a question about the cables. I have the same power cable but instead of the cable being red, it's white. Will it work the same?
Did it work haha
So how would I get this cable in the UK, but without costing a small fortune in shipping from the US?
is this just so you dont get the fan error msg?

Hi can this work on my Dell optipex 3050?
I was under the impression that the Elite 8000's PSU could not be upgraded, so this cable tricks the board into accepting a new PSU?
Yes, it can be upgraded. This adapter supports PSU up to 1000Watts.
Just had a look, the shrink wrapped area of the cable - it that a 5V to 12V convertor ?
Yes, 12v to the 6pin PCIe connector, the 5V is the 24pin ATX connector. If you need it for Elite 8000 series, we have one that doesn't need rearranging the pins ... bit.ly/2yUKu07.
Email us sales@ayagroup.com and I can send you a picture of the shrink wrapped part.
I tried this fix with an HP Compaq 8000 Elite Convertible Minitower, but still, get the 4 beeps when it tries to start.

on the HP z240, there's a 4pin wire from the PSU going to the motherboard. How can I source this from the normal ATX PSU? This adapter only takes care of the motherboard power source (the black 6pin) and the PSU command plug (the white 6pin).
yes, same question as me
Hello, im curious with the PWR CMD, does it same as the other compatible model?
No. They are all different. You have to match the pinouts to get the right combination to work. Make sure that you check and re-ceck before you try it. You get one chnce to make a mistake on this project. I have a Z240 Tower and I just added a full video card which forced me to upgrade the power supply. My PSU adapter didn't come with loopback pins or pinout instructions. I figured it out and the only problem is this annoying error.

Was this sorted?
Where can I get one for hp 280 g3
What is the name of this adapter
My wire colors aren't the same. What do I do? My yellow wire is white and red and green are switched. It's black green white and red.
Just look at the order the wires are in this video on the first set of wires, and again in the second set of wires then make a note of which wire is moved where, then move your wires in to the same positions as they are on the second set of wires. Pause the video at 1:03 for a good view of the wires.
Ive looked at the pins, and the order you need to put the wires in,according to the colouring of your wires, should be:
[PIN 2-GREEN>PIN 3-RED>PIN 4-BLACK>PIN 5-WHITE] WITH PINS 1 AND 6 LOOPED TOGETHER.
You may have already solved this, but if not I hope this helps.

Hp prodesk 400 g6 help!!!
Elitedesk 800 G3 has 4-pin on Mobo, will the 6-pin adapter works still?
yes, same question as me
Will this work an a elitedesk 800 g1 small form factor?
Yeah
...
Yes, it will "work" , but, there are issues that you will have, 3 issues, those issues are:
1.) A error screen showing you that there are 3 non- responding hardware issues.
A.) PSU Fan.
B.) Front Sound.
C.) Front/Top USB.
2.)Remember, that you are taking a HP. M/B out of a proprietary case built specific for HP/Compaq, that has specific built parts. And you are transferring that M/B to a completely different case with different hardware parts that are not HP/Compaq, compliant, such as the USB header, and HD sound header plug in receptical.
3.) Power switch configuration issues.
And this moron that made this video doesn't explain at all which reconfiguration of wire pin works for a transfer of a specific model, and this video only mildly addresses only 1 error not all 3 that you will clearly get., This moron only addresses the fan error, and is not very specific about it either.
I will try and give you a detailed explanation as to adding resolve to your issues you are not doubt having.
Thing is: From you "old" HP case, remove BOTH the USB/headphone/microphone jack assembly, and the power switch/wire assembly, Now study these HP Proprietary parts vrs. The new cases front usb/headphone/microphone jack wording configuration, and try and reconfigure the new case's wire pin to best match the HP, assembly.
Now, the power switch, Same thing here applies, study the HP power switch wire pin assembly, and compare that to the new case power switch wire configuration. On the HP M/B you will notice that the power switch header is in a 4-1-4 pin lay out, ie ( 4 pins on the left, 1 pin in the middle, and 4 pins on the right side ) Route the new cases power switch cable ends to the HP M/B as best you can, this can be tricky so pay very close attention to the detail, wire color is insignificant, as you must match the new case wires to the correct pins onto the M/B, you have:
1.) Power switch
2.) Activity l.e.d
3.)Reset switch
These are the main 3 power connections you should be concerned with.
Once you can get through all this hoop jumping, you will have a perfectly operating Frankenstein build.
Good luck, I truly think this will help you. And this method I explained is compliant to all older HP/Compaq, regardless of model.
