If you are thinking about pulling your kids out of public schools, do it! We are only teaching our children not 25 others. No busy-work for them means no busy work for you. Grade school is all about reinforced learning. If they miss it the first time you will be going over it again and again. Relax! Amy’s free printable a are great! The Amazon printed ones are VERY affordable. Two pages a day and then just go be with your kids.

Thank you for this video! I homeschooled my kids...they are grown now with great jobs in great careers, doing what they love. You don't have to be a teacher to homeschool. Just let your kids follow their interests. You can do this on a shoestring (I did). I have worked in the school system and I am shocked by how much the schools are letting kids down and hiding the school's faults and weaknesses. I had a child with TS and an IEP...what a joke. He did so much better in homeschool. You have hit almost all the "obstacles " to homeschooling. I cannot recommend Homeschool enough. All it takes is commitment to your kids. They will do the rest themselves.
I would love a video about a diploma and transcript! We are not there yet, but both of the kids are such advanced learners that they will probably be graduating early. I want to be prepared for that. Thank you for this video. It really put my heart at ease about the standardized tests that NC requires!

Thank you Amy. I was listening to Dr. Dobson, Focus on the Family, 26 years ago. My son was 2 at the time. Dr. Dobson was talking about homeschooling, not sure I had even heard of it, and private Christian schooling. However, God spoke to my heart and for the next few years I researched, read, prayed, etc. He's an only child and I so worried about social interaction, but you are so right. Being around adults is the key. We enrolled in Co-ops, outside classes, and he did great. He graduated college with a BS in History. God Bless Homeschooling, and God Bless all you moms and dads who give the best of yourselves to your children😊

We are in our 3rd year of homeschooling and I still love to watch videos like this one for more inspiration and ideas to use in our homeschool! ❤️ I use a mix of free stuff I've found as well as a couple specific curricula that I wanted to use that I found used on FB marketplace for next to nothing. Def agree that there's no need to spend lots of money to homeschool!
Love your channel, as a disabled homeschooling mama I def can't keep up with your pace (wish I could so my house looked as nice as yours haha) but I love your easy going attitude, totally reminds me that I don't have to do this mom thing perfectly and that it's ok to do what I can when I can. ❤️ God is good!

I’m a mom of 6. My 10 year old son is Autistic. We chose to homeschool him after his kindergarten year. But with my girls, ages: 17, 14, 13 and 12 (stair steps lol) we pulled them out of brick and mortar at the beginning of this school year and chose to homeschool simply because of the way things are going in the world. By far the best decision we’ve made for our kids. We use a lot of your curriculum btw and we love it! So thank you 😊 We have an almost 2 year old also, he will be homeschool as well.

Long story short...My daughter struggled in HS/School and got lost in the shuffle. We pulled her and homeschooled her with an online school that would give her a diploma at the end. She has now passed her original graduation date and we still have another 7 or so credits to finish before they will send her the diploma. Most of these are electives. She really HATES school and really wants to quit. How can I make sure she has enough credits to do so by doing it the homeschool way on my own? Thank you for your help and love all the support you share. We have since pulled out 6 yr old and am homeschooling him and using those blessing you have given us to use as curriculum. I am in Texas it is a wonderful state to homeschool in. Yes yes life skills. Reading, writing and arithmetic. Life skills they normally learn. My husband taught them to change oil, change a tire, change spark plugs. If they are learning at home it’s homeschool.

Thank you for this video. I have been thinking of homeschooling my kids for years. My concern was always the structure of it- I know my daughter will not sit for hours on end. Thank you for releasing that thought from my head! She loves cooking, I would have never thought to include that in her schooling but you’re right- it’s a life skill! You have given me the courage I’ll need when the time comes.

Thank you Amy I’m starting home schooling here in Australia and your advise is great ,long story short I’m a mum of 9 and 10th on its way anytime ,have always had my children schooled but through no fault of their own or mine I’d taken them out basically from a catholic school I’d been with over 12 years because of a principal that runs a school like a military camp causing teachers and students to leave or go on stress leave for periods at a time but she is protected by higher levels because they are either family or went to university together so we left for she set children up to fail instead of achieve and for what children are being taught etc too,so watching your video on this was very comforting, I watch you cooking ones etc,I just wanted to say Thankyou and take care 😊
Commitment and routine is key! My mom gave us to do list. When it was done, we were done!

Wow, thank you thank you thank you!!! I hope God blesses you. I am so grateful that you made that simple and to the point curriculum. I'm so tired of spending thousands of dollars on curriculum that is just making my kids sit and do paperwork. So I literally took all of it and threw it in the trash today. I'm so annoyed with the scripted books that say "say this to the child" multiple times on every page. I just want to read good books and teach them math. Thank you so much!!

Our poor children in school now as soon as they get a sniffle bang covid test send home wait for test results then loosing more schooling.
Cold bugs viruses existed before covid it’s so sad x
It needs to happen in the Uk. Many teachers of the teachers are poorly educated themselves and have nefarious agendas and are not screened correctly so questionable people slip in. I read about the Hampstead School Case and I threw up in shock.
My son is almost 7 and we've had to start the RUclips detox. He's borderline Autistic and would spend HOURS obsessing over videos and music. The "Ho Hums" are a real thing...and incredibly stressful due to the fighting and tantrums that start during the detox.

This is such valuable information. I do not even have children but I know so many parents who are horrified at what is happening in schools so are taking their kids out. Please consider doing some more of these videos so I can share it with those parents. God is working through you.

Good morning. I didn't homeschooling, my daughter is a senior. She wanted to homeschool in 6th grade, we tried it for a month and her odd made it impossible for her to want to listen at all. She is respectful to adults outside of the home, not so much myself. I am envious of those who are able to do it. Have a happy fantastic tuesday and I will see ya tomorrow.

My kids are home now doing school online but I live in Canada so the government is allowing this for another year, but next year we don’t know. I actually quit my job after 17 years to stay home with my daughters. One is 14 the other is 7. Thanks for this homeschooling info. I’m new to this since I’ve never been a stay at home mom before. Thank you so much Amy, I'm a grandma I'm at 11 and my three girls have the 11 grandkids, only eight go to school, but when our governor here in California demanded or mandate that kids get the shot for the covid they would love to homeschool their kids. I am definitely going to share this information with them so they're not stressed about the schools are getting special with probate cases in the school's thank you again for sharing you are such an awesome mom just love your channel and love your family

But there are covid cases in the schools so they would love to keep their kids home and safe but didn't know where to start and you gave me a guy to give them that they can get started on thank you again so much

My daughter is homeschooling now this year 2 years, I literally only got the hang of it, sort of, now! It really was trial and error and still is. Prayed about it so much so this was definitely God’s will. But will never go back to a state school, it was a nightmare

I am set on homeschooling my kids bc I'm am beyond fed up with my kids schools. Between the bullying, standards, attendance with a child that literally stays sick but can't go with a fever... I'm so done!! I have no idea how to even start but I'm tired of feeling hopeless and helpless and not being in any kind of control of my kids anymore. I feel like I'm only being told what I can and cannot do with them, for them ect. I feel like I can explode bc I'm so frustrated with the school system😢😢

I'm a single mom and have been lucky enough to have a daycare that is working with us as we homeschool. My daughter can go there until she's 12. At that point, she should be able to go with me to the office.

My kids are grown but if they were still school age I would def homeschool.
Did the virtual school to finish out 2020. I was NOT IMPRESSED with the zoom lessons, as well as the way the kids talked to each other online. Not good. Pulled them out for the 2020-2021 school year and haven't looked back! We joined a local co-op this year, as well as another group for sports. I love homeschooling! My older kids missed their friends, but the co-op is helping with that.

This came at the perfect time! I m a little ways into my new homeschool journey and feel stuck. Bless you. My 3rd grader really loves math and catches quickly, we are working on multiplication tables and other things. He was in a gifted program in traditional school and gets bored easily. We are currently using Sonlight and math u see(which I hate). Would you suggest I start with 3rd or 4th grade book on Amazon?

We had our towns fall festival last week. My kids school days where running a lemonade stand for 2 days in the front yard. They made over $150 on it.
I wouldn’t write that here - you might get a visit because you didn’t have proper permits, issue 1099’s to your kids - and there is the health department. And OSHA…God forbid someone slip on an ice cube, or lemon without proper safety gear.

@amymaryon hey I have a question about home schooling how do you balance social skills homeschooling like sports making friends that kind of stuff I want to homeschool my grandson who is fixing to start kindergarten but my daughter worries about him not having social skills I told her he can do sports and homeschool groups but she is really apprehensive
We do local sports through the parks department, as well as church activities, and a local homeschooling co-op. We also do lots of field trips, community service activities, play dates, and park days. We have homeschooled our kids from the beginning and trust me... they have absolutely no issues making friends everywhere they go.

So what you are saying is basically what we teachers study in a lifetime, you can easily teach your kids. A mom even with years of homeschooling experience cannot be compared to what we teachers give to our students and you are taking that chance away from your kids, just saying. :(
I haven't met one teacher that teaches all the grades..only one teacher per class or per grade for younger ones..I'm sharing what a parent can do to get their child ready for their future
