One thing you didn't mention that I taught my kids was all the wild plants and things that are edible. My kids will survive no matter what happens because they know what they can find and eat from the ground with out growing it themselves. They also know how to plant a garden and harvest what they grew, and how to preserve that food. They can hunt and trap and fish for meats. It all especially in the times we are in these things are super important.

Thank you for this video Amy. You have really simplified homeschool prep. I remember when my big kids were little I would make unit studies every two weeks at the library. I tried to make it a whole experience. Say we learned about Scotland, we watched videos on Scotland, we read books like Sir William Wallace, Mary Queen of Scots. We even made recipes like traditional Scottish shortbread and Shepard's pie. We had such a great time. I had the kids make me a list over the summer of things they wanted to learn to give me ideas for the year.

Mommy Amy!! 🤕 Thank you for the motivation each day! First I'm so jealous and happy for you and your family to be bless by a new baby born Samuel! What a beautiful name too!! I just started preschool with my two years old ! And he doesn't really like it when we learn how to write... I wonder what age they usually star loving writing their names and numbers .. maybe I'm moving to fast! But he knows his numbers and can say some of the alphabet... He doesn't like to talk to me so that's why I told myself maybe do school with him so we can have more conversations but ..he doesn't like to reply to me yet..🤕 anyhow!!!! Have a wonderful day strong woman!! 💞

Try coloring and painting or use a stick to write in the dirt. Learning should be fun. Also if the lack of communication continues, I would talk to his pediatrician about a speech evaluation. Hope this helps. 😊

Every state is different on the rules for homeschooling. NC the parent chooses the requirements for graduation, we create our own transcripts and print our own Diplomas.
