    I use khan academy for my son who is in 10th grade. I love khan academy. We use it as an additional resource to supplement our main curriculum which is Time4Learning. Love this video. I love free stuff.

      That's such a quality platform. I agree ... free stuff is fantastic. Although I love the quality you get with a lot of hard copy curriculum.

      @@howtohomeschool Yes there's nothing like a book. That's why I watch homeschool videos. I love hard copy curriculum too. We use both online and hardcopy books. We're all over the place here lol.

    I do have a question that I hope you'll answer even it's already 2024... Is there an online/virtual/tuition-free school that is based on US online that allow Grade 11 and 12 to enroll even you're in ASIA? In my country here in Philippines there's this Oed but then it COST TOO MUCH for us who are bellow the middle class income family. So I'm looking for some alternatives.

      Yes, mamabear5cubs is right. Accreditation is often quite costly. The only one I can think of that is free is K12, but then - as she mentioned - you have to be a US citizen to take advantage of it. Easy Peasy is the best option if you want a good free curriculum. :) I quite like Khan Academy which EP uses, but you gotta be careful as it's secular.

    If you do Ambleside that is not good for working parents? I thought there was loads of reading

      Yes, Ambleside wouldn't be great if you're working because it takes a lot of time. Yes, there's a fair bit of reading.

      U and I are in the same boat. I'm researching alot and what I see is not to buy a curriculum until I see how my kid learns. I notice that mostly every mom pick n chooses subjects from different sources.

      Go for it girl! You can do it. It gets easier after the first year. Just take it easy and enjoy the good times. Don't feel you have to do homeschooling all the time. Pray for patience and help from God and you'll do so well. God bless friend.

    First time viewer, maybe put in the title that majority of your picks are religious. As a non religious homeschooler I wouldn’t use most of these, nothing wrong with religious curriculum just didn’t know that’s what I was gonna watch, just a helpful tip 😊

    • @howtohomeschool
      @howtohomeschool  Год назад +33

      Thanks for your advice 👍 the titles are pretty restrictive and short. Just so you know most of my videos feature christian stuff as most of my viewers and myself are christian. I also believe a christian curriculum is best as Jesus is the way the truth and the life
      He offers hope and forgiveness to all people no matter how broken or lost. And that's what I mean by best most of the time.
      Thanks so much for supporting and watching the channel. God bless ❤️

      Most secular curriculum companies don't offer free curriculum. Bottom line vs helping others.

      I’m not the lovely gal that made the video but I don’t know of any actual “schools” that are free unless you possibly live where there’s “school choice programs” or do something like K-12 programs online which is basically public school at home but even that you’d have to be a citizen to get it free.
      Here in Wisconsin we have school choice vouchers and can get some participating private schools free as online school but that’s for the states citizens and only few states do this.
      Most of these she mentions are curriculums. There are some that are FREE curriculums but they aren’t schools and curriculums are never accredited. So if you just want free (Christian) curriculum online, we love Easy Peasy Homeschool.
