Thanks for the video helped me clear one hurdle.. did you ever run into an issue where the truck would need to be started for the light to work.. my truck has to be on for the dome light to work.. It will also work with door activation while truck is started.. I appreciate it..
Man to be honest no. Never had that issue at all. Wish I could be or more help.
Sounds like you have an ignition wire hooked up where a constant should be
I just sent it back.. hopefully the new one works properly.. Definitely hooked up properly
Hi thanks .thanks for the video but I have a question.how do you fix the image up side down
Thank you!
I have not tried to install mine yet but I'm sure it will be a ton of help... and I have a multimeter.. but not the light dodad
Just look for a 12v reading
I bought a car and it has a DVD Player. It’s a overhead DVD player. The dome lights work when but the dvd itself does not turn on. There’s a wall outlet on the car passenger side which I’m assuming powers the DVD player but it doesn’t I don’t know where the source of power is please help me
Pull the DVD player out of the ceiling and look for the yellow or red wire. These are going to be your hot wires. More than likely the connector that hold these wires together came undone.
@@willmonty47 okay thank you very much
Thank you
When watching a movie, can you hear without using the headset
Can u use that in 220v?
Hi what Westside you got that roof tv
Does your usb work?
I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 has a DVD player in the back. My problem is I that I have a different radio installed in the vehicle. I have the remote control and head phones but can't seem to turn it on. What wires in the vehicle do I have to have connected in order for the DVD player to play in the back. Anyone have any ideas?
So you have a factory DVD player and a aftermarket head unit in the front now?
Please help what was the name of the place to find the player at great cost??
Yea I think they made a harness now for aftermarket radios so you can gain access back to steering and back controllers. There’s a guy in RUclips that’s shows how to hook it up
Could I please get the name of the dvd player you purchased. Thank you!
It was BOSS dvd player. The website was www.geeks.com
Nice video I’m a little late but would I be able to connect an acc wire from the dome light ? Or would I have to run it to an acc wire some where in the car?
Thanks a bunch!
What size screen is that and brand and was it worth the money
Sorry about the late reply. It's was BOSS (sorry I said NAXA but it's a BOSS DVD player). It's a cheaper brand but it does the job. No problems so far.
My monitor get line when start.. If off engine it will ok..any solution.. Please comment
If it is working opposite then just use the other trigger wire. There are two. One has a + the other has a - . use the opposite of the one your using now.
You mean negative black to red wire?, and positve to black like that?
@@willmonty47 when the roof tv run pendrive.while engine running. It was ok.. But when i joint rca from car audio it will blur line follow the engine. I just change rca, ground the black wire to body, try direct conection.change other player.. the problem not solve.. My. Battery volt 14.2..my alternator problem? Off engine battry drain to 12.6.
Are you able to connect your phone to the USB and watch movies that way?
If I connect my constant with the b+ should I be able to watch the tv while the truck is off ?
quick question Will. did you have to mount into the rear dome light cross beam and the center cross beam for mount your dvd player? i have a 3 gen crewmax with a 9inch pyle roof mount and would like to move it closer to the dash so the kids are not straining their necks. let me know if you can...thanks again. Dan
Daniel3452001 yeah I used the cross beams with metal tapping screws. You should be able to move it forward.
Hard to get past all the “um um um um’s”
Don't claim to be a TV host or social media star, was just trying to help out in the moment while wrenching.

This video was not help in anyway
Thank you!
I have one brand new. It’s all hooked up and working but no sound. I tried rca worse to stereo nothing. How do I get sound thanks
The sound settings on the DVD player are probably set to FM radio with a station selected. You would have to tune your car to that FM station so I can pick up the sound from the DVD player. You can also change the setting on the DVD player to just play sound through the built in speakers as well.
