I just finished watching your Teyes videos and this is perfectly timed! I was gonna add a 24-32” smart tv to my truck but this might fit the bill
It being 12v makes things much easier. Their biggest one is 19 inch
@@SaabUnleashed Most trucks are 24 volts but many have a 12V take off

Can you hack the device's HDMI, opening up the unit and removing the external connecter from case to route out with the other cables? If it is a solid connector, then you can just just solder a connector to the internal header to route out?
Can you connect a iPhone to the unit to watch movies as well, as does it have wireless built in ?

nice video, my only gripe with it is that it would have been a lot better if you color coded the wires for the installation. Red for 12V, Black for ground and yellow for door. All white cables is an easy way to mix things up
I agree with you on this point, however I know which is which because I used a twin cable, one of which is marked with a line making it perfect for live/ground, and the single core cable for the door.
@@SaabUnleashed DC doesn't use live. Live and Neutral are for AC. DC you either use VCC and ground or the voltage and ground. Another thing to consider for future reference

Apply a silicone windscreen sealer couple of quid of ebay around edge of glass and plastic where it meets.
Does it have Bluetooth so it could be watch and listened to via headphones rather than through the cars speaker?
Weirdly no. What it has instead is Infrared, and they do actually have an option to buy this in a set with a couple of pairs of infrared headphones; or you can just buy them separately.
Fantastic video. Also folks, if you are installing this into your home, mains power off please.
It's 12 volts, so mains power doesn't need to go off. In most cases, you'll just be plugging a transformer into a wall socket.
PLEASE HELP! I have the same overhead monitor and it will not read/load a Scandisk 32gb flashdrive. The files are in MP4 format. Do the files have to be in a different format?
MP4 should be fine but you'll need to format the drive in FAT32 I believe
Can u change the blue led lights to like red? I'm thinking about getting it but all my led lights in my car are red so I don't Wan rhe ble to throw off the red🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️

Any info on wiring? I took a monitor out of my vehicle and it was white to white, red to red and the component plug ins. For proper power... this monitor has a red labeled ACC and a yellow labeled B+. No white.
ACC wire you can connected it to any fuses that turns on with the switch on on position
Can this be used as flip up instead of flip down? Will require display flipped.
Not really as the screen uses gravity to be deployed. It wouldn't be able to be opened if you had it the other way up. They have actually released a new mechanical screen which I will be checking out soon
Seriously… I have looked high and low for videos on how to hardwire install this thing in my car… and then this guy installs it in his house… ugh!
just use old laptop and hook it up upside-down its way better and cheaper.... thank me later (now)
pro tip. use Intel chipset laptop it has easy screen flip

In what regard? It has a HDMI in, so you can get a lightning to HDMI adaptor to use this

I do not recommend dealing with them because they do not respond to any of the messages after purchase. After I have paid now, there is no response from them.
A classic problem with companies like Xtrons - they have a great idea, but half-arse the execution - Great screen, nice form factor but crappy tiny remote liable to dissolve if you press it too hard, HDMI in the wrong place, no Bluetooth, USB/SD cards only supported upto 32GB FAT and not NTFS (an absolute crime in these days of high res movies/shows). So near to perfect, yet so far
Absolutely bang on here.... It's basically crap Chinese dated tech with a quality screen, not worth the 300€ here in Spain

Yes, although you'll have to be creative with the way you mount it to the roof so not to obstruct the sunroof.
