Enable your MacBook's Backlit Keyboard in Lubuntu

  • Lubuntu runs excellently on old MacBooks. Out of the box though, the backlit keyboard doesn't illuminate. To get your MacBook's backlit keyboard to illuminate is really easy to fix. In this video I'll show you how.
    NOTE: In the video I use the Muon Package Manager to install the package. This fix can also be done using the Synaptic Package Manager.

    it works, not to find out where and how to make this shortcuts in the keyboard work like the dim and increase brightness, keyboard backlight adjustable keys etc. thank you

      @stuartlaw7528 Not sure. Pop_OS! is based on Ubuntu so it should work but I've never tried myself. I'd be interested to know how you go. Cheers!

    i installed linux in macbook air via UTM , after login in linux my cursor is not working

      LXQt About Version0.17.0

      Qt5.15.3
      i once found a single command line that activated they keyboard backlighting but cant find anymore, still on the hunt, would appreciate if someone finds it !
