    There was a time when I thought Come Clean was clarifying for my hair because I heard so many people say it was a clarifier. It wasn't until I used an actual clarifying/chelating shampoo that I realized Come Clean wasn't doing it for me. I'm in Cali, and the KCCC doesn't do much to clarify or remove mineral buildup from my hair. I can actually use it weekly. The two hard water shampoos that I use are Malibu C and Ion.

      How does your hair feel afterward? I see that there is a polyquat in the ingredient list. From the Malibu C. Those typically leave deposits on the hair. Does your hair feel clarified even with that in it?

      I actually use the kinky curly come clean as regular shampoo for my weekly washes… it feels really good and regular to me. Been using it for a 3years now.
      Also; I’m in Nigeria and we have hard water

    Hey, I'm in Florida. Have you been having trouble finding Kinky Curly Come Clean? Typically, I get it at Sally's, CVS, or Target. All stores within 30 miles are out of stock.

      @WhatTheKink  26 дней назад

      I haven’t needed to buy it in store recently. I’m still working on a bottle I’ve already had.

      Circling back to this comment. My husband is out of the custard right now and cannot find it in stock anywhere.

      @WhatTheKink yeah im not sure what is going on. My sister lives in PA and can't find the shampoo. I still can't find the shampoo in FL. People have been asking Kinky Curly on their instagram and of course they are not responding.

    KCCC is chelating? We have terribly hard water here in Los Angeles. I use the Mailbu-C system, their hard water shampoo and their hard water packets. I do this the week before my root touch-ups. I used to think my gray was just so resistant. It’s definitely low porosity, but stopped being "resistant" after removing the mineral buildup. I actually have the KCCC on hand. I bought it for my niece when she was just starting out. I also have the Malibu-C Un doo-goo. I used it once and it kinda scared me. Definitely not something to use often. my niece just took down her braids after 9 weeks. She used the Un-doo-goo and the packets. Although I didn’t tell her to use the packets. But she got the job done. Her scalp was clean and her hair was SHINY and her hair color looked so rich.
    You kinda like hard water? Maybe it’s not as hard in Florida. But I visited some friends recently that have a water softener and that was the first time in a long time that my skin felt so smooth after I rinsed in the shower. I’m eager to know how differently my hair will respond with softer water. I’ve heard that products work so much better with softer water.

      Our water may not be as hard but the faucets and refrigerator STAY with deposits on them. The soft/slickness after using soft water is exactly what I don’t like. 😂 Feels unclean to me.

    I have question, is the kinky curly system only for wash and go or can they be used for braid and twist and other styles?

    Hello,
    Is that the melanin shower mirror that you have? If so, does it work well for you because I can't see out of mine and I'm disappointed lol

    • @WhatTheKink
      @WhatTheKink  23 дня назад +1

      Yes, that is it. For any mirror to work in the shower you need to bring it to the temperature of the room with the water on. Run shower water on it for a few and it will be fogless.

    It only takes you an hour to do your whole wash and styling routine with all that hair?? I am clearly doing something wrong lol!

    • @WhatTheKink
      @WhatTheKink  Месяц назад +1

      lol. Probably not! Deep conditioning with heat _does_ add a lil time on top of that.

      Takes me and my stylist and my trichologists that long. One hour only. I deep condition for 30 minutes, 20 minutes for detangling and styling. 10 minutes to shampoo and rinsing. My trichologists give a electro scalp treatment for 5 minutes, shampoo and rinsing for 10 minutes, 20 minutes for my 2 steams, 10 minutes for the red light scalp therapy, 10 minutes to detangle and braid in 2 French braids. My stylist give me an Olaplex treatment for 20 minutes, shampoo and conditioner and rinsing 10 minutes, curly trim, style, detangle and diffuse for the other 30 minutes. I have never bought into natural all-day 8 hour wash days...Nope I got other things to do!!
