    Al, depending on how air tight the upcoming barn is, you may want to think about building a rocket mass heater for it. They are cheap and are very efficient in how little wood they need, although they are a lot of work to build... it would help make for some comfy working conditions next winter :)

    Gooood Morning Al ,
    Looks like the work is coming along. But , I can't think of what it's purpose is going to be.
    Every pig that I have ever seen seemed to be as happy as a hog in mud on the ground .

    • @usbpphillips
      @usbpphillips 5 лет назад

      Pigs only roll in the mud to cool down, they can't sweat. They will need shelter from the sun and storms.

    • @donaldmiller8629
      @donaldmiller8629 5 лет назад +1

      @usbpphillips ,
      I know that pigs can't sweat which is why they roll in mud. As for Al's pigs , in the past they had access to a stand of trees which should provide shade and Al also had an IBC tote which had a doorway for access and shelter. So again I ask , what is the purpose of the bacon mobile which will have no source of mud ?

    • @gelwood99
      @gelwood99 5 лет назад

      They will have a lot more area to be in since the woods got cleared. It is a house, they will have outside just like New Yolk City. Moving them will allow them to eat more grasses and not tear up a stationary area. Onwards and upwards. Life on the farm is changing! The hogs have cleared up the areas he needed already. First around the apple orchard and then the rock wall area. Those areas are now cleaned up!

Our last frost date is the end of Feb but it went to March 6th this year. Crazy weather! Plans are a good way to live. We also need to be flexible, because things don't always work out the way we expect.
    We need to learn when to pause, reassess, and revise plans. Sometimes living on the fly, or as I heard "by the seat of your pants."
    Just keep moving.
    Pause, take a break, reassess, then choose actions that get us going again.
    One thing life can teach us, if we're willing to learn.
