I asked my mum at dinner tonight, while we were watching Arms Family Homestead "can you see us having some goats one day?" Her reply was, "only if they are like the ones from Lumnah Acres" I had to agree with her, you guys have the best goats.

Sometimes I get down on myself because of my age. I think why plan anything, I am old. We all need to have dreams and plans, along with hope to accomplish them, no matter our age. Al, you inspire me to keep hoping...Grandma Carol.....love and blessings

Don't lwt "old age" hold you back, it's just a number. I'm 64 and I'm farming and ranching for 8 years and going strong. Presently, I'mr erecting a Harbor Freight 10 x 12 greenhouse 99% by myself.
I'm raising all hinds of foul, pygmy and Nubian goats. I hope to sell the young does as Mini Nubians. They should have richer fat in the milk.
So don't give up, keep trucking . Enjoy life and be prepared.

I agree with Rose. I'm 64, I built nesting boxes, tables, a fence for my chickens. I'm in the process of building a wall to section off part of my shop for ME!!! You CAN do it. You need perseverance, drive and a capacity to care for them even when you're sick, bc chores always have to be done. I fed all but twice through my last total hip replacement. But, my farm animals are more than just my products, they have become a big part of rehabilitation of life gone wrong. Don't ever allow anyone or anything stand in the way of your dreams. And...Livvie, you're a DOLL! Love your snow bug angel! I'm sure bugs must have angels, too! Don't you think??? Peace.

Good morning Al, Gina and Olivia! I’m new to your channel, found it by recommendation to your artisan bread video and found myself watching almost all your videos for the past week and half now. I love your channel and how you are providing a beautiful life for you and your family . You remind me a lot of my dad, hard working farmer, carpenter, construction working and great tool man. Btw.. that bread recipe is awesome, made it a few times and looking forward to making that breakfast pizza. I have one request.. can you do a drone view of the property of all the snow? New Hampshire is beautiful!!! Last summer made a trip to the White Mountains for a few days and just loved it. Have a great day Al ..

Regarding your new tool, Pillsbury patented that process back in the 70's on their "Totino's" pizza. It is called "docking". It actually creates uniform bubbles in the crust that hold the sauce & toppings in place & creates a crunchy crust. I worked there for 33 years!! Nowadays, lot's of frozen pizza manufacturers use the same process.

Make sure you have some Blood Stop powder for your disbudding box. It's something we always keep on hand, along with Blue Wonder Dust. You can get both of them at Tractor Supply. We use it for all kinds of animal emergencies. When you have livestock, you always need to be prepared. Are you buying two more goats, as well as Willows kids in May? I'm confused. Also, I love the hide and seek intro. It's fun to play along to see where we've been hiding.

Good morning Al. Congratulations on increasing your goat herd next month.
The noise the water jug makes is because the hot water filled it with hot water vapors, so the cold air caused it to condense and with the cap closed, no air can get in. A neat experiment that you can do is, take a small empty metal can with a tight fitting lid, put in about a cup of water and bring to a boil. Cap the can, off heat, immediately. Put the can outside and watch the can get crushed. The steam in the can condenses and forms a vacuum in the can (like canning) and the atmospheric pressure collapses the can.

    I didn't hear any noise..
But if it's presure coming out..
    Once empty in cold envirorment..
    The water (vapor)
Is expanding the colder it gets causing presure to rise in your bottle...
I.E. if you have a dent in a motorcycle gas tank
Fill it with water and put it in the freezer
The pressure will pop the dent out..

Great video Al! I am wondering how you like the concrete counter top and how it is holding up. Would you do anything different the next time?

The warm air inside the jug cools off lowering the pressure inside. The cap is allowing air to come in to equalize the pressure and makes noise. Either sealing the cap up more tightly or opening the cap to allow the pressure to balance stops the sound. Sorry if I get pedantic, I'm a retired physicist.

The box looks great! It almost reminds me of an old style shoeshine box.

Chickens and Moose kept us nice and warm thankfully! lol Your breakfast pizza looked great and so yummy! Snow arriving here tonight again, along with freezing rain and then rain. But like you guys, our birds are singing up a storm during the day time hours. Spring is definitely coming and even though we may get snow in March, it never lasts long as the sun is getting to warm now. So here's to spring! Your box looks great with the hardware on!

Videos I've watched of people using disbudding boxes they always sit on top, a handle would make that uncomfortable. That's why I suggested using the brace under the chin rest as a handle.
The bottle makes the noise because it's cooling rapidly from being warm to cold, and the plastic is contracting and trying to suck in air, like a vacuum effect.
