@@BucketyQBucketIII Just hate how the Padres got so cocky for literally no reason and still couldn't win shit. they might be turning into the memphis grizzlies of MLB. I hope the Mets win though
As a Dodger fan I’m thought my team stood NO CHANCE given the historically awful list of injuries and their playoff collapses in the past. The announcers said that it almost seemed like the Dodgers were underdogs even though they had the best record in baseball. But Dave Roberts might have foreshadowed the outcome of this series by saying, “none of the other 11 playoff teams will have more fight than us” as they popped champagne after clinching the division against these SAME PADRES! It was definitely true in Game 1 when they erased 2 deficits to win and pick Yoshi up, but in the next 2 games of that series it seemed like a repeat of 2022 only worse. Game 2 was just about the UGLIEST Dodger loss of all time when they got OBLITERATED 10-2! I stopped watching after the 8th and thought it was over. Game 3s defensive collapse in the 2nd inning only added to the misery. But when Teo hit that Grand Slam the very next inning from King who totally DOMINATED the Braves in the Wild Card Series, I thought that things might turn around. John Smoltz even foreshadowed this by saying that Buehler did a nice job even though he gave up 6 runs and threw a temper tantrum in the dugout. The bullpen helped control the red hot fire but nobody thought it would matter after the Padres took game 3. Before the series, the Padres lost one of their best starters to pitching hell or those 3 words we hear too much these days that knock you out for at least a year! Joe Musgrove. I thought that could have given the Dodgers a lifeline and it definitely did in Game 4. Because Musgrove is out until 2026, the Padres were forced to bring back Cease on short rest who struggled in game 1. This backfield QUICKLY! He couldn’t even get through the 2nd inning! The bullpen for San Diego wasn’t much better only pouring gasoline on the fire on Dodgers bats. The Dodgers bullpen game started to extinguish the fire of the Padres bats. Going into game 5, I’m sure the biggest concern for Padres fans and the team was the offense. So everyone knew they had to get going or their season would be over. To say they didn’t get going is an understatement. To know just how they played this game look up game 3 of the 2022 ALDS in Seattle. I’ll quote you Italk from that Astros broke the Mariners video. “Then came the miserable game 5. The entire county of San Diego was up standing at bars and the ballpark watch party the entire time. Ready and waiting to go absolutely berserk at any moment, but that moment never came. And Yu Darvish kept things down the entire time doing everything he possibly could to give his offense an opportunity. To give the standing San Diego crowds at the bars and ballpark of over 100000 people something to roar about only for them to not do a single thing collecting just 2 hits and 3 total base runners the entire time. Going as silent as the entire county of San Diego did once Tatis’s ground ball was caught by Muncy at first base to end it” I immediately thought of your Mariners video quote after that game and I thought I’d mention it. It’s been 33 years since we’ve seen playoff teams offenses go this FREEZING COLD! The Dodgers didn’t just control the fire or extinguish the fire, they FROZE the fire as cold as the North Pole. Fun fact, did anyone else notice the 2 Santa Clauses behind home plate in game 3 with PS hearts on their beards?! Well, the Padres bats certainly went as cold as the home of Santa if you’re superstitious. The Dodgers came through when pressured the most but I’m still stunned. To hold this prolific Padres offense to 24 consecutive scoreless innings was clutch pitching like we haven’t seen in the playoffs in A LONG TIME! I wrote a long story, but I feel like I should just get it all out at once! Love your videos! Keep up the good work! You do GREAT!
Wanted the padres to win. But they were cocky af and got karma for celebrating too early. Remember when we beat them losers two years ago in the NLCS it was so hilarious seeing that cheater tatis cry
Team Pitching woke up in the Dodgers!!!! It was awesome. To shut those SD batters like that, it's incredible. For sure Yamamoto needed this revenge and come back after the Game 1 debacle.
Padres love dishing it out but can’t take it. Dodgers players (not the fans) did a great job maintaining their cool and not giving in to the Padres’ trash talk.
Last video, I commented how the Phillies ran out of steam with their postseason collapse.... With the Padres; Running out of steam wasn't why they loss.... when you TALK THE TALK you obviously gotta WALK THE WALK.... Padres ran out of talkin the talk
Even though I'm neither a Dodger or Padre fan I watched it. I have to say I've never seen such a lifeless team in a playoff game before than the Padres. They looked lost, each batter coming up to bat clueless.
My only issue with your commentary is when you say the Dodgers show their disdain for Koreans- not true. The first South Korean born MLB player (Chan Ho Park) was signed by, guess who? The Dodgers., and Tommy Edman was great!! In fact, a key player, I think. Go Dodgers!! We will be even better next year.
In the playoffs you need a deep lineup 1-9 and good bench. Pitching is extremely important but if your entire offense relies on 1-4 or 1-5 with an average to below average bench you get all or nothing results. Padres didn't score a run for nearly 3 full games worth of innings because the top half of their lineup stopped hitting and didn't work counts. Living/dying on the home run isn't a recipe for success either in todays game with so many strikeouts.
You were gonna make the same exact video if the opposite outcome came true…..that’s RUclips for you. Either way solid video….you got my view/subscription
I was at game 5, and for the entirety of machado's 3rd at bat, the stadium was chanting "manny sucks". It was also the only at bat that he looked not fully focused lmao
look the padres couldnt hit the dodgers bullpen, it has been the case for the whole series aside from game 2. its only been the starters that the padres were able to knock around, especially the 5.38 ERA starter guy walker buehler. so i dont see how its the offense going cold, rather its the bullpen that was lights out.

Even my GF, that knows nothing about the teams, hates how the Padres play. Cocky, always talking, and getting emotional at every inside pitch. This is a happy day.

No shit she’s going to side with you if she knows nothing about baseball. She doesn’t have an opinion, it’s your opinion pushed onto her
Maybe tell her how Jack Flaherty started the turmoil by yelling at Padres players after he would strike them out. You should also tell her about the Dodgers fans throwing trash and balls at Padres players, I’m sure she’ll love the Dodgers
@@jdgamingbros9834 Recognizing that if someone yells at your players its good enough to cause a "turmoil" says all about the Padres players softness
Scoreless 24 innings, yikes!
4:47 Not if your first name is Angel.
No way they make it back next year lol especially if the pattern continues. Giants 21' missed next year, Padres 22' missed next year, Dbacks 23' missed next year
Have y'all seen the clip of David at a dodgers vs Mets mode game in the obtain jersey and obtain hat waving the dodger towel?
To think the Padres' offense would be shut down for 24 consecutive innings is incredible
The only thing standing between a subway series or the 2 most popular teams series, is the humble Guardians
Guardians are very underrated RN. They’re going to the WS, just watch…

I absolutely LOVE IT when "disrespectful" showoffs (Tatis')/teams LOSES! Ppl talks about how "lack of respect" for
ppl causes tension/hostility between ppl. But when Tatis does it, everyone is to enjoy...right? Not a Dodgers' fan but
actually hoped Padres would lose after that! Players like Tatis sets ugly trends for the game & younger players!
News media like espn just loves it...they tout it as "passion", "grit" until it gets so ugly, they then say how wrong it is!
That’s when the Padres started getting too cocky. That’s always been the issue. The team’s too immature and lack veteran presence in their roster. Also not a team with a winning culture…
Can someone make an edit of all the times Machado struck out with looking silly against that breaking ball low and away? I believed he got one hit but maybe 3 or 4 strikeouts. He just couldn’t resist swinging at that.
One of the best breakdowns I have watched on here 🙏🏽
Padres fans now know how Brewers fans feel. You thought you had it in the bag.....until you didn't.
Live by the homerun swing die by the homerun swing. The inability to play small ball when necessary kills teams.
How do you know this please?
@@TiagoGomez-hb9te 24 innings without scoring a run.
@@TiagoGomez-hb9te - They score all their runs with Home runs. They don't score runs with singles and doubles and moving base runners along. So....if your home run hitter go cold....there goes your offense.
Its true . The samething happened to the o’s . And as a yankees fan i have seen it first hand since they stopped using the juiced balls
@@fernandoposada5440 really? when were they using juiced balls?
Machado thought he did something with his Kumbaya/Photo-Op dugout moment in game 2.😂
This goes to show that while you’re taking a shit, you should never celebrate until you’re done wiping your ass. Paperwork has to get done first.
As a Giants fan, I’m actually happy the Dodgers won this series.
Thanks, Man. I was actually saying the other day that I dislike the Padres much more than the Giants. At least the Giants organization exhibits class, as shown by the way they treated our Vin Scully in his last three games of his career, up in SF. It was that series that made it hard for me to hate the Giants
@@jeffwatts1126 vin scully was a great commentator, very unbiased which I loved. I was obviously very upset about 2021 and it was tough to accept, but i absolutely have not liked San Diego talking shit despite the fact they haven’t won anything ever. Thanks for humbling them man. Respect here
@@ashwinranji8790 Yeah, that's kind of it. The Giants have been talking shit long before I was born, and that was a long time ago. But we as Dodger fans take it, with a wink and a smile, Because they are the Giants, and we've had our banter back when our grandfathers were kids. It wasnt even a Ca thing, it was a NY thing. Its a right of passage, for us to give each other shit. But who the fuck are the Padres? They havent done shit, and they've had enough time to do it. They haven't earned their seat at the table so they should just shut the fuck up and concentrate on doing something, anything. It was their mouths that cost them the series more than anything else
@@ashwinranji8790 As a Giants fan, I don’t know how you can say this.
@@BucketyQBucketIII Just hate how the Padres got so cocky for literally no reason and still couldn't win shit. they might be turning into the memphis grizzlies of MLB. I hope the Mets win though

1:58 the foreshadowing 💀
Wow. Great video. Nailed how, why and no extra b.s. nonsense. ACES.
The SD sports curse activated
Machado Kida looks like evil Shrek.
Yeah! That was weird, bad time to go into a collective slump.
Wanted the padres to win. But they were cocky af and got karma for celebrating too early. Remember when we beat them losers two years ago in the NLCS it was so hilarious seeing that cheater tatis cry
two years ago.. lol
Tatis never played a single game on roids
Can someone point to the supposed “shit talk” this team gave? Where was the disrespect?
Still in denial...
Last video,
I commented how the Phillies ran out of steam with their postseason collapse....
With the Padres;
Running out of steam wasn't why they loss.... when you TALK THE TALK you obviously gotta WALK THE WALK....
Padres ran out of talkin the talk
Phillies didnt run out of steam . Their bullpen was terrible in the playoffs vs the mets . Thats what killed them.
Even though I'm neither a Dodger or Padre fan I watched it. I have to say I've never seen such a lifeless team in a playoff game before than the Padres. They looked lost, each batter coming up to bat clueless.
the entire padres lineup owed Yu an apology for their performance in that last game
It's just a joke haha
Not a rivalry. The Dodgers' rivals are the Giants. San Diego is just a temporary annoyance.
They’re gnats
dont call dylan cease "their ace"... please do not call him that....
Spot on ma man!
What do you mean in _todays_ MLB Home Run or Bust won’t work out?
I guess you didn’t watch the Phillies offense collapse
SD got too cocky, beefed with LA fans and subsequently got rolled. loved it, and i really didn't have a dog in the race.

look the padres couldnt hit the dodgers bullpen, it has been the case for the whole series aside from game 2. its only been the starters that the padres were able to knock around, especially the 5.38 ERA starter guy walker buehler. so i dont see how its the offense going cold, rather its the bullpen that was lights out.
