Believe it or not it wasn't a choke. This is something they do throughout the season. The kiss of death was scoring 10 runs. When the Padres score double digits in a game you can forget about the offense for the next four or five games. That's their history, it happens every time. I've been a season ticket holder with them for 41 years now and I know what I'm saying. My friends and I always root against them scoring more than nine runs because we know what we're in for and it came true just like it always does. Can't explain it, it's just the way it is.

Some incidents could've been reviewed by the League. The behaviors of the LA Dodgers fans toward the Padre player on the field was atrociously "bad" sportsmanship. So, don't blame it "all" on the Padre players. This is a very hotly "contested" series, and the Dodgers won. But, the Padres players Profar, Machado, Tatis, and one other taunted the fans, poked at Will Smith, grabbed their crouch towards the fans and blew kisses when they game was out of control. Media controls the narrative, but us that were there, were not happy with the unsportsmanlike behavior by these Padres. Machado, threw a ball into the Dodger dug out, MLB should at least fine him. I'm a 41-year season ticket holder with the Padres and you are absolutely right. I have been screaming for Profar to be taken out of the number three hole but the manager was just too stubborn to make any moves. Profar stopped hitting well before the playoffs started but the Padre manager stubbornly kept throwing him out there as if something was going to magically change. Then he gets caught up with the BS in left field. Not the first time I've seen an outfielder do that And I didn't think it was that terrible but he lost his focus because of it and that's HIS fault. I believe that was the most boring game 5 I have ever seen. The first Padre batter in every inning made the first out, leaving it quite difficult to get any kind of a rally going. Hopefully the young guys learned something but as for the others, it's just who they are. I said hold on, let me get this straight: a team with 3 of the most likeable players in all of MLB (Betts, Freeman and Ohtani) is hateable? Meanwhile, you got 3 of the biggest showboats and assholes on the Padres (Machado, Tatis Jr and Profar) and the Dodgers are hateable? They just said...yes. 🤦🏻‍♂️

THEN the game 4 score of the Dodgers shutting them out, 8-0, i could breathe a bit easier. Then tonight's game, i was nervous again, as it was ONLY 2-0, and the Padres can score runs in a hurry, but the bullpen came through for L.A. and the 2nd consecutive shutout was complete! NOW to face the Mets. They ain't no joke! Those New Yorkers are feisty, pesky, and downright ballers!
