      There are low impact areas that don't need it much (the inversion for instance). But a couple of turns they didn't do definitely could use it.
      Bigger issue seems to be a transition or two weren't installed well.

    Not shocked you could feel a couple of those transitions.
    The one out of the inversion even LOOKED rough. Not sure how the install team let that one slide. Hope they can do some overnight work to fix it up a bit while still being able to run it on operating days.

      I’m genuinely worried those transitions are going to do more harm than good. It looks so jarring when it switches between the types of track, even offride; I hope that it doesn’t put too much extra stress on the trains and the structure.

    Mine Blower looks concerning. The transitions have a very large gap in between the wood track and steel track. It's scary. I'm honestly a bit scared that something bad is gonna happen to Mine Blower. I have no idea how RMC installed something like that, its very concerning. Mine Blower has a 5 inch gap between the wood and steel track, while Tremors has >1 inch gap between the wood and steel.

      The plating handles the wheels, the gap is for several reasons, expansion and contraction, pressure sway and shock absorbancy.

    This is basically how I feel about the Grizzly retrack at Kings Dominion. They only retracked the first half and it was silky, butter smooth. The back half is the original track and it's just as rough as it had been before Gravity Group came in. I wish they would've just retracked the whole thing. In my opinion, if they had retracked the whole thing, Grizzly could be top 10 golden ticket worthy.

    Also I can’t believe that not that long after I uploaded my vlog from last year the ride closed to have this RMC partial re-track lol
    Tbh the whole coaster either needs a full makeover using custom built RMC iBox or just get some better trains as the Timberliners are awful, they ain’t comfortable at all even on on a good Gravity Group coaster

    I was there yesterday when they opened... the sound was unbearable in the new track sections. I used to love the sound of the original Mine Blower. I had to wear ear plugs to stand near the new sections. I wish they had done something with new wood topping as well. Mine Blower being a woodie that inverted is what attracted me to it in the first place. Now, it's damaged, and will be even worse if they do the entire ride with it. I give the new track a thumbs down. It looks like 💩. It sounds like 💩. Shame on Fun Spot for not finding a solution with GG. The precut may have solved the issue.

    • @FunDisneyFan
      @FunDisneyFan Год назад +8

      I have a feeling it has more to do with the lackluster maintenance of Fun Spot. Most wooden coasters need a lot of constant care and maintenance for the wood track to run smoothly, and that's not even considering what the brutal Florida weather and this ride's year-round operations was doing to the track. You could see on the wood track just how worn down and dilapidated it had become. I really wish Fun Spot did a full retrack on Mine Blower rather than the partial because it really needs it. That remaining wood is just going to continue getting worse and worse and the transitions from wood to steel will as well.

    • @Derangedlefty
