They look great! My nana used a knife to mix and placed the scones close together to cook. I don’t think lemonade was even around when she started making scones. Thanks for sharing.

    3 cups SR flour
    1 cup cream
    1 cup lemonade
Add up to 1/4 cup additional flour to get the dough just right

What do you mean “when you are allowed to go to someone’s house”???? Make sure you use “Tarax black label lemonade”.

I will admit that I’m brand new to baking and most certainly did not grow up watching the women in my family doing any kind of cooking or baking, but until today I’ve never seen a scone recipe without butter and I did look at many videos a few months ago trying to find a recipe without eggs. Do you know, or can you point me in the right direction to find, any info about the history of the “classic scone” recipe as you call it? I was very happy with the recipe I found and they were absolutely delicious, but I’m definitely going to try the CWA way next time I have someone coming over to share them with. Would love to work my way through the history of the scone and try all the different variations!
