Ingredients - 3 1/2 cups SR flour, 1 cup lemonade, 1 cup cream. Brush with milk. Bake @ 220’c 10-12 mins xx
Good one Dee, I've made Muriel's a few times. Pretty fool proof. I found that if i folded the cream in first evenly, then poured in the lemonade, it came out better than banging it all in at once and trying to mix. I don't know the reason why? Maybe a baker or a scientist could explain it, but in my mind it just seemed like a better result. 🤔
Awesome feedback, thank you! I will absolutely try this when I make them next time xx
Love your videos ❤⭐❤⭐❤⭐❤⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hello, just ran across this super easy looking video
Question: I'm in the US and am wondering if the lemonade is a sparkling water or our traditional lemonade which is not clear like yours?
G’day Patty! In Australia our lemonade is the same as your Sprite. If you use that, you’ll be fine. Best of luck and let me know how it goes xx
@@23spoons-deeskitchen43 thank you so much. Cant wait to try it. Sunny hello from the beach in Ocean city md usa
We love a good blooper , I mean scone❤
Well young lady 😘. You did just great 😘😘😘 I'm gonna try this tomorrow. From little old lady of 74 years from Northern Ireland United kingdom.😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Thank you Henrietta, that is so kind of you! Please let me know how you go, I’d love to know. Remember, in Australia lemonade is the same as Sprite xx
Yeah right!
Thanks
Was it single or double cream
Hi Patricia! Use single cream to make the scones. Then double cream with jam to serve xx
@@23spoons-deeskitchen43 Thanks for that

Muriel didn’t use selfraising flour. Her video 3 yrs ago for ABC is on RUclips. Yours is almost an exact copy except you use self-raising flour and hers are risen higher.😮
Thank you for noticing. Muriel has 92 years of life experience and is a far better baker than I’ll ever be. We can only aspire to learn from others, and I’ll continue to practice. But for now I reckon I did pretty well.
too groovy ... best scone recipe on the net ... ta muchly ... you done good
Thank you Bruce!!! So happy to receive your feedback, this is brilliant xx
How much fat in your cream? Could you type, please? 🧈💛😍
Hello there! I used full fat runny cream. In Australia we call this thickened cream, and it’s used for whipping/beating. I think you need full-fat because there is no butter or eggs involved. Best of luck and happy baking xx
No salt?
Nope. Self Raising flour already has salt xx
If you are using Plain or All purpose flour you will need to add salt and baking powder xx
