    A lot of our older shooter shoot that firearm on the range. They match up the ammo that functions best with it and they're good.

      Ya I think that will probably be the case with mine as well.

    The Volquartsen Recoil Rod and Spring Kit for the Ruger Mark Series pistols solved all of my problems with different brands of ammo.
    I was relegated to only using Remington Thunderbolt ammo out of my gun. After installing the kit, I could run any other brand of ammo I had with no jamming.

    Great video. Love the MK pistol line. I haven’t had any issue with the CCI but the last batch of bulk Aguila I bought were so gunked up with wax that even my 10/22 wouldn’t cycle them. My Smith 617 and Rough Rider ate them but they will shoot any rounds I put in the cylinders.

      Thanks for watching! Ya I think that’s a great reason to keep 22 wheel guns.

      What type of holster do you use for suppressed with a light and red dot mark iv

  • @ij0rgei

    took mine back out to the range after watching this update and mine jammed up so bad that the rounds wouldn't even chamber. it was also the super waxed up mini mags that did it. shot some federal auto match and it ran fine except for 1-2 rounds per mag having light primer strikes...

    Would you have any recommendations for a holster for your setup? I have a very similar setup....red dot, silencer and under mount Olight...having trouble finding a side holster to fit. Thx.

    • @FirearmFreedom
      @FirearmFreedom  Год назад +2

      I ended up actually cutting up a black hawk omnivore light compatible holster to work for this set up, definitely. It ideal but it works.

    Can you tell a discernible difference between the mark Iv tac and the 22/45 lite and tactical with a can on the end? Which of the models would you prefer over another?

    • @FirearmFreedom
      @FirearmFreedom  Год назад

      You can tell a slight difference depending on the suppressor I would much prefer the mark IV tac but that’s just me.

    Where you get that goon tape. I have a few pistols I’d like to try on not only for xtra grip but palm swell.

    • @FirearmFreedom
      @FirearmFreedom  Год назад +1

      You can occasionally find it on their website whenever they have it in stock but it goes out of stock regularly. If it’s out of stock regular hockey tape works great!

    Very interesting content. Thanks a lot and regards from Germany. One question - from 01:45 onwards, which holster do you have in use for the setup? Thanks in advance for an answer.

      Thanks for watching all the way from Germany! It is a Blackhawk omnivore holster for a streamlight TLR 1 that I cut to allow me to use the gun with the suppressor

    Just picked this up and my thread cap is stuck in place. What direction does it thread? I’m assuming it comes off counter clockwise. Can’t find much info other that some chatter in forums about others needing to heat it up to get it off

    • @FirearmFreedom
      @FirearmFreedom  2 месяца назад

      Hmm interesting so yes it is just standard 1/2x28 thread so you would just take it off counter clockwise.
      The only other issue would be if you accidentally got or where sold a compliant model. Ruger is crafty with there’s and they still have a thread protector cap but there are no threads underneath. You can tell by pulling the thread protector straight off the front with no twist, if it comes off there aren’t any threads on it.

      I was able to get it off using a little heat and vice grip pliers. It was on there tight!

    Wax on, Wax off!. Do you think your time with the Tippmann Arms 22 suffered from the same ammo issue?. Why is there wax on these rounds to begin with?. Dennis

    • @FirearmFreedom
      @FirearmFreedom  Год назад

      You know Dennis I am now beginning to think that. They usually do the wax coating for prolonging the life of the cartridge but I have never seen them this bad it may be just bad q/c across the board.
