A lot of our older shooter shoot that firearm on the range. They match up the ammo that functions best with it and they're good.
Ya I think that will probably be the case with mine as well.
The Volquartsen Recoil Rod and Spring Kit for the Ruger Mark Series pistols solved all of my problems with different brands of ammo.
I was relegated to only using Remington Thunderbolt ammo out of my gun. After installing the kit, I could run any other brand of ammo I had with no jamming.
Huh I will have to check that out thanks for the heads up!
Great video. Love the MK pistol line. I haven’t had any issue with the CCI but the last batch of bulk Aguila I bought were so gunked up with wax that even my 10/22 wouldn’t cycle them. My Smith 617 and Rough Rider ate them but they will shoot any rounds I put in the cylinders.
Thanks for watching! Ya I think that’s a great reason to keep 22 wheel guns.
I have 400 rounds in my recently purchased MK IV. I really enjoy shooting this. It doesn't move...
Nice! Ya I love mine it’s unreal
Very nice, keep em up bruv!
Thanks for watching I appreciate it!
Just bought mine. Love it so far, awesome suppressor host and gonna be really fun in rimfire matches. Thanks for the video, subbed.
Nice glad you were able to get one! Thank you so much for subscribing!
What type of holster do you use for suppressed with a light and red dot mark iv
took mine back out to the range after watching this update and mine jammed up so bad that the rounds wouldn't even chamber. it was also the super waxed up mini mags that did it. shot some federal auto match and it ran fine except for 1-2 rounds per mag having light primer strikes...
Interesting it really must be all an ammo issue man that sucks
I never noticed wax on cci mini mag copper coat🤷
Would you have any recommendations for a holster for your setup? I have a very similar setup....red dot, silencer and under mount Olight...having trouble finding a side holster to fit. Thx.
I ended up actually cutting up a black hawk omnivore light compatible holster to work for this set up, definitely. It ideal but it works.
Can you tell a discernible difference between the mark Iv tac and the 22/45 lite and tactical with a can on the end? Which of the models would you prefer over another?
You can tell a slight difference depending on the suppressor I would much prefer the mark IV tac but that’s just me.
Great Review my friend! 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much man!
Great review! Glad the build ended up working out. Keep up the good work. Love your full reviews!
Thanks so much, I’m glad it did too!
Where you get that goon tape. I have a few pistols I’d like to try on not only for xtra grip but palm swell.
You can occasionally find it on their website whenever they have it in stock but it goes out of stock regularly. If it’s out of stock regular hockey tape works great!
Really enjoyed the video!
🤪
Thanks for the feedback!
What kind of holster do you use a mark for suppressed with a red dot and optic holster is very hard to find
I actually used a Blackhawk omnivore and just cut the top half of it off
Thank you..
Thank you for watching!
Very interesting content. Thanks a lot and regards from Germany. One question - from 01:45 onwards, which holster do you have in use for the setup? Thanks in advance for an answer.
Thanks for watching all the way from Germany! It is a Blackhawk omnivore holster for a streamlight TLR 1 that I cut to allow me to use the gun with the suppressor
I just ordered this same pistol at the gun shop.
Just picked this up and my thread cap is stuck in place. What direction does it thread? I’m assuming it comes off counter clockwise. Can’t find much info other that some chatter in forums about others needing to heat it up to get it off
Hmm interesting so yes it is just standard 1/2x28 thread so you would just take it off counter clockwise.
The only other issue would be if you accidentally got or where sold a compliant model. Ruger is crafty with there’s and they still have a thread protector cap but there are no threads underneath. You can tell by pulling the thread protector straight off the front with no twist, if it comes off there aren’t any threads on it.
I was able to get it off using a little heat and vice grip pliers. It was on there tight!
Need information on the holster for it. Have the same setup and haven’t found one yet. Thanks!
So I was trying to rig up an omnivore holster but I still have a long way to go with it, still not really working all that well lol. I will update when I got it fixed!
@@FirearmFreedom I would love to figure out something that is Gcode RTI compatible as it would go with my belt rig and my chest harness.
@@twdunn9 ya I’m right there with you
How tight was your grouping with the red dot? Looking at getting one.
It was far beyond what my capabilities were. Wherever that dot was on the target that’s where the impact was it was impressive.
What holster do you suggest for the mark IV tactical with a light and red dot?? I can’t find anything!
Okay never mind you already answered that question thanks 🙏
No problem at all man glad you found my answer, thanks for watching!
1500 rounds in a no recoil gun to find the wall? That made me
, lol.
...did you shoot the Kel-Tec CP 33 yet? Kinda ups the ante'.
I have they are sweet! The mags are a bit tough to load but other than that it’s awesome.
watch the video, you can see the bolt is not moving back equally, it varies a lot , probably the ammo.
It could definitely be the ammo!
Thx
Thank you!
What holster are you using?
It is an omnivore that I have heavily modified lol
What optic mount do you have?
It’s just the standard section of pic rail that came with the pistol. It actually works out pretty well!
the wax on my cci is hillarious why to the do this
Right? It’s just stupid lol
How much are the suppressors?
Well it really depends on which one your looking at, a 22 suppressor can be anywhere from 99-1200
Wax on, Wax off!. Do you think your time with the Tippmann Arms 22 suffered from the same ammo issue?. Why is there wax on these rounds to begin with?. Dennis
You know Dennis I am now beginning to think that. They usually do the wax coating for prolonging the life of the cartridge but I have never seen them this bad it may be just bad q/c across the board.
Sooooo, did I miss what ammo worked best?
I may of not mentioned it but Winchester super X the 222 pack actually worked the best for me
What’s up with the bandana around your head?
Weird that you were having issues with your mags.
Luckily it wound up being the ammo but still bizarre
Hey I know Tom, he’s ok!
😂😂
Noice!
🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Brother how much Pakistani Rs
No idea
Awesome pistol! Don’t own any pistols yet but think this is awesome but not sure pistols might not be my thing! 🙂
Ya it really is a personal preference but they can be pretty handy!
I want this pistol to put in my 10/22 takedown bag. It’s on my list of what to get next, now that I’ve stopped buying stupid audio gear!
Oh that would be sweet in that bag, and I feel you man I’m pretty all over the place with my purchases as well 🤣
Be careful man! You will fall down the rabbit hole thinking thats all you want until you realize there's more you need! Then it starts, the rabbit hole before the hole of the rabbit's hoe! Just leave it at one! But they do start the multiply
cheap optic
It is a cheap optic but it works fine and I’m this 22 I actually don’t mind it
