It was so nice seeing the whole family helping a lot with the preserving. I know they always help but it seems like it was even more this year. I am so happy that with all of the troubles you had in the garden this year it's still looking very fruitful for you. You all work so hard on everything you do! I was ecstatic to see a video 😂 Thank you so much ❤️ P.S. You know you can freeze dry cucumber slices...thinly sliced and sprinkle them with any seasoning you want to make cucumber chips 😋👍😁
a good backup for that foodsaver vacuum is a brake bleeder. when my last foodsaver died i bought a brake bleeder kit and worked the hose that comes with that jar vacuum top onto it. works great.
Yum, peaches! I love preparing multiple batches of peaches for peach cobbler filling and then freezing them in freezer Ziplock bags. There’s nothing like peach cobbler in December. I spent the entire day yesterday prepping and canning chicken pot pie filling. I was so tired and literally thought of you doing this daily, plus the garden work, plus tending to 4 kids. How on earth do you do it? Loved the video! You have a mesmerizing voice. The rain dance was the highlight of the entire video.
I Love this! We did something similar where we live out. This video actually gave us inspiration and hope that we can still become successful, thanks so much for this video.
Miss having a hoop house. It was so amazing to sit in there in winter and feel the warm sun with the cold-hardy greens growing. It's nice to see the kids helping and dad too!
Y'all are so cool! Seriously though... growing your own food is the most rewarding thing I've ever known. Why are we not all on the same page here! All the growers out there know what I'm talkin about. I've had an amazingly abundant havest this year and you know what it took? I wanted it!! And I did what it takes to be successful as I could be with as many crops as I could. Seems like every year there is major failures and major successes, learning lessons each season. Thank you for spreading the love and the joy of growing your own food. Love your channel
My Mom canned peaches. She'd lay the halves in the jars cut side down, placing them just so. The end result, they looked so pretty in there. More fit into the jars too!
I was so sad this morning that I'd finished your videos, but very happy to see you'd uploaded a new one. I love these especially, the cooking videos and preserving. It's amazing how much you can produce! ❤
Oh my goodness! Your garden is so beautiful! How in the world do you keep your beautiful kitchen clean while veggie harvest is on?! ❤️ I love that your husband and kids jump right in to help! Beautiful family! I have never tried Kimchi, probably because I don't really know what it is or grasp Fermenting. I'm working on it, though. I made sauerkraut several years ago, but I panicked when it started bubbling, LoL. A couple years Later I realized it was doing great, no mold, no concerns, etc LoL. I pressure can, freeze dry, dehydrate, freeze, and cool store my harvests, but I am just learning more about fermenting. Cucumbers and zucchini are fermenting now. I'm praying over them! ❤️
This video was SO GOOD! I’ve always raw packed my peaches but I’m going to try your way now as I’ve always had a good inch left at the bottom. I know how much work it is to make videos, thank you for taking the time to share and putting yourselves out there. It’s so encouraging! 💚
I enjoyed watching your channel this evening as my daughters and I wound down for bedtime. Your family works together so well, it reminds me of my fiance and I. I am looking forward to watching your channel and learning more about harvesting. Thank you for the smooth voice you use when explaining useful facts. My daughter enjoyed watching the kimchi section immensely, looks absolutely delicious, i myself would love to make a pizza sauce,Have a good night!
Love the information in this video! Especially about the peaches. So glad you got rain too. I love how your whole family works together to get things done. My boys are adults, in school and working, so I don't have their help anymore. I have one more daughter that is very helpful. Treasure the time, it goes by in the blink of an eye. What a blessed family you have.
I do not have your dedication to grow and preserve on the scale you do, because I do it all alone. I do what I really enjoy on the small scale I can, and I enjoy all your tips :)
Becky and family your doing awesome 🤩 You’re an inspiration to me for my little garden. I been trying to do the same thing in a small scale. When I see your videos I recharge my battery to keep going. Thank you for sharing 🥰
you guys are doing an amazing job. the generations to come will need all the things you are re-learning. God bless you, you are good examples for your folk.
Thank you for sharing! I will never reach that level of preserving food and growing all plants as you do so good. But I can take one or two ideas from each video and say to myself - I can do this one, and that one, too. And that is great! Love from Latvia :)
Bless your heart. I’ll send you my Sicilian grandma’s recipe. Just watching was daggers to my heart. Such beautiful produce! We’ve canned it for over a century in our family.
PLEASE I NEED HELP doing all this! It looks amazing. I live in Oregon in the high desert, so it has been difficult to know what to grow. This is my first year here (out in the middle of nowhere). I've enjoyed your vids and they have motivated me into gathering fruits & veggies from places where they're starting to go bad! Thank you so much for all the hood ideas. Oh, as far as the tomatoes, I heard you could freeze them and, as they're thawing, remove the skin & it should slide right off!
You have all of the supplies and equipment you need. You are so lucky. I wish I had a place like that and was able to do what you do. I don't have the ability to get all of those things though. God bless you and your family. You do amazing things.
I just found you a few days ago and now your my current favorite to watch. Very informative, very easy to listen to. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I envy your children's childhood experiences
Thanks for sharing. I learnt so much as l'm just starting my preserving journey and your gentle positive knowledgeable approach gives me confidence. you and your family truly make a difference. Debs from Australia
I made a half gallon of Napa cabbage Kimchee and had a little left over which I freeze dried and use as a garnish on top of salads, yum! You guys are so busy with the harvest, like the idea of freeze dried pizza sauce.
With your food saver I have the same one! Anyways, you don’t need that white suction piece on it, you can just use the one that’s attached to the vacuum sealer. The pointy piece on the one that you have the white suction cup attached to that is designed to stick into the jar attachment holes on the top when your vacuum sealing the jars.
Very very useful video that you made dont you know you help me & i can use it for personal purposes. We FILIPINOS dont know many ways on how to preserve & pickle many fruits & veggies now its my time so i can make & try how you do it.Thank you i love this video.
Wow! I always enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing! I'd love to hear about how you organize and plan your preserving and harvesting process. Knowing when to do what and how long it will take so that you don't run out of time.
That is so clever, freeze drying the pizza sauce. I would never have thought to do this. I imagine it also is a good way to save space too as you don't need tons and tons of jars on your shelves and only a few. I love seeing ways people do this but also how people evolve into what they change and do different from year to year. I am so inspired. I have dreams of having my own little garden within the next years.
Just found you guys . How sweet are your kiddos in helping out , awesome job team. So many sweet eats from your larder this coming winter . For us Spring 🌼 is just here & I can’t wait for all the mud to be gone ! Then for cucumber season this year . Kimchi is one of my faves too , tho the cabbage one I made last year , wasn’t so good ( followed a Korean RUclipsr recipe frm what I understood). So your measurements will be awesome.
Wow, a lot off work, love how your family help, special your kids. God bless you guys. Those celery tops was from celery root? I use celery root in vegetables soups, love it.You guys have good crops. I put in the garden spinach, yellow flat beans, dill, parsley and tomatoes seeds( nobody have tomatoes plants yet over here in Arizona), not sure if is not too early.
Thank you for your tips on canning peaches. I have only done raw pack and yes bubbles, bubbles, bubbles! I just bought several boxes myself (locally) because I don't have that tree on my property. Your video was very timely.
Been canning for weeks, just did wine chicken and today will start on sloppy joes. For my family it helps having ready made meals, it saves on jars and then they can just grab a jar and heat it up when they want. We did peaches already, but I may buy another bushel. Going apple picking hopefully tomorrow. My son is learning preserving also, I think it is vital these days and to show him a zero waste kitchen if possible. I don't think people realize how much they actually waste.
I'm so glad I saw this! I had a fantastic cucumber harvest too but I have more pickles than I know what to do with. I made a cucumber syrup and cucumber sorbet, and have been dehydrating them to make them into a powder for vegetable dips and cucumber ranch dressing. I also made a white kimchi (baek kimchi) because I love it, but didn't grow the ingredients -- and it is delicious. It's getting late in the season and think I'm getting to the last of cucumbers so I'm glad I saw this before I used mine all up! Thanks for the inspo! PS. I bought that Foolproof Preserving book you recommended and have been using it all summer for recipes. The dill pickle recipe is good -- mine turned out sweet and sour. Distinctive compared to the store bought pickles. And the blueberry earl grey jam is delicious! TY
i saw someone screw a drill onto the handle of the food mill. Well, take the handle off and put the screw on the part the handle is on. It works wonders. It only takes 1/3or less of the time it takes to do it by hand
I subscribe to a good number of homesteading channels and love the videos about preserving the harvests. This is the first time I’m seeing someone freeze dry pizza sauce and I think that’s so clever! Do you think it also saves on space as well?
The kids are so funny. I just love them! Kimchi is the BEST hands down!
It sounds good. I'm going to make some this summer.
We love korean kimchi ❤ would love to see a video of your cold room and how you designed it.
I’m so glad you included the rain dance 🌧💃🏻
You are very welcome!!
Definitely a family who works together. Glad you got some rain 🌻
The rain dance was my fave 😍 I think you do such a wonderful job being able to plant and grow and preserve!
I'm 31, but when I grow up ,I want to have a garden like yours 😉
Thank you for showing by example how to Live Healthy Lives and Take Charge of How you Live...Great Message. Great Family Living Values...
Thank you Leselle! So kind of you.
I always enjoy your channel but am particularly fond of the harvesting and preserving ones.
Me too. ❤️
I got chills when it rained
It was so nice seeing the whole family helping a lot with the preserving. I know they always help but it seems like it was even more this year. I am so happy that with all of the troubles you had in the garden this year it's still looking very fruitful for you. You all work so hard on everything you do! P.S. You know you can freeze dry cucumber slices...thinly sliced and sprinkle them with any seasoning you want to make cucumber chips 😋👍😁
I could just watch you all for hours !!! Beautiful family, thank you for sharing your world and also dancing in the rain 😊
a good backup for that foodsaver vacuum is a brake bleeder. when my last foodsaver died i bought a brake bleeder kit and worked the hose that comes with that jar vacuum top onto it. works great.

Yes, nice to see that family time is still spent dancing in the rain. So many children miss out on so much anymore
I Love this! We did something similar where we live out. This video actually gave us inspiration and hope that we can still become successful, thanks so much for this video.

Your children do an awesome job! 🎉 it’s truly a family effort. Lots of work but it’s all worth it!

Thanks for explaining about the peaches. I’ve been having the floating and siphoning problems with my peaches for years!!!
I enjoyed watching your channel this evening as my daughters and I wound down for bedtime. Your family works together so well, it reminds me of my fiance and I. You are so kind Chez. Pizza sauce is super easy, and super tasty too!!
I've watched this video like 6 times and I always crack up at the end when Cam is vacuum sealing the jars...his chuckle of amazement 😁❤️😂
He's a goofy guy! :)
See I don’t have a garden and struggle to even keep mint leaves alive.. but I am so intrigued and inspired by this channel!! Love it so much! 😍

Wow, a total family effort, so impressive! You guys rock!
So great how the whole family helps!
Beautiful family!
Your videos always have the best music. So cinematic, and it always matches the tone of the footage so well.
Thank you very much!
I'm going to do that with my peaches from this year harvest. Thanks!😊
I'm so impressed whata crew!!
We really enjoy your videos, but the ones that incorporate gardening and freeze drying are our favorite.
God is so good!
YES!
I dehydrate all of my celery top from the celery I grow. They add so much flavor to everything I use them for!
Love your channel!
Becky and family your doing awesome 🤩 You’re an inspiration to me for my little garden. I been trying to do the same thing in a small scale. When I see your videos I recharge my battery to keep going. Thank you for sharing 🥰
You are very welcome! Glad we can be a little source of joy and inspiration 😁🙌🏼
Love the way everybody pitches in.
perfect timing! was just rewatching the video from last year!
The same!
you guys are doing an amazing job. the generations to come will need all the things you are re-learning. God bless you, you are good examples for your folk.
You guys! The pizza sauce in the freeze dryer is such a great idea. We're going to have to try that out.
Powdered fruit juice! Much like country time lemonade. YUM!!
Thank you for sharing! I will never reach that level of preserving food and growing all plants as you do so good. But I can take one or two ideas from each video and say to myself - I can do this one, and that one, too. And that is great! Love from Latvia :)
Welcome, all the way in Latvia. tu esi brīnišķīgs!
I just love how the whole family is involved in the process!❤️

Great information on canning peaches i have canned peaches for 40 years and didn't know that peaches have so much air in them ❤ thank you so much!
these kids are going to be amazing with kitchen knife skills in like 10 years :D
Have you shown us how you irrigate when needed? That would be interesting. Thanks. Good job.

Wow! You have a lot of great helpers!
Definitely have a rack or something for your freeze dryer tray, so you can stack them on one side.
I love to see how all the family helps out, great video!
love your videos , and farm ... we homeschool too and only have about 5 acres. we live in missouri ! kinda looks like missouri where u are ....lol
Would you do a kitchen tour? Functional ways to set up your kitchen to preserve?
House tour/Kitchen tour coming soon :)
As always, so inspiring and encouraging to this new gardener and preserver 🙌🏻
Love love love ❣️ your content. Thank you for sharing
You are so welcome. Glad you enjoy it :)
Your videos are always so inspiring, gives me a boost to keep on going.
I love that it’s a family endeavor. If I can anything it’s a me endeavor. 😂
Tip!
When stirring a large pot, put the pot in the sink to stir.
I am a new subscriber and I am greatly enjoying your videos. Thanks for sharing so much info and putting out enjoyable videos. :)
Loved seeing you guys dance in the rain ☔️🌦😊

I’ve seen others than also dry the tomato skins separately and then grind then up into tomato powder to add to soups, etc.
You all work so hard! Love your videos

I love this process so much. My mom has a freeze dryer and she loves doing it and then later coooking with it! New subbie also
You are able to pack in so much information and ideas into such short videos, amazing!
I’m so impressed plus your family is tight.

There is so much to persevere this time of year I’m almost out of ideas!!
Interesting.
You are my go -to inspiration.
So nice!! Thank you for this, and glad we can be a source if inspiration for you.

Great idea to freeze dry pizza sauce!!! I’m totally doing that!

Thanks! It does save space but not a significant amount.
Carrot tops are great dried and ground into a powder!
