It is the first rap song to win an Oscar. This is the only cover I have heard of this song that I like. The emotion she gives is insane. Gives me chills every time. 😊❤ I can’t say I had much confidence the first time I saw her on stage with a banjo but she knocked it out of the park.

I confess that I'm not a fan of rap and hip-hop, so I never paid any mind to this song. Her cover of it gives me a lot of respect for Eminem as a songwriter that I would have never noticed otherwise.
Well I’m glad this cover was able to do that. He has some really great and well written songs like Sing for the Moment, and When I’m Gone, I would recommend those!

Kasey is a queen in Australia. She's country/contemporary, but has always been a huge Eminem fan. She did not record this at all, it was an arrangement she had put together over a long time, more of a love letter to the original, she just pulled it out as a 'surprise!' encore at this gig. She had no idea how it would be received, but, well, you saw it. Later they asked for the audience to send any footage they had recorded and made a video out of that. It is so cool in so many ways. ❤

She has had a hard time to get air time...hence her song she wrote 'I'm not pretty enough' as a ode to MSM radio, not playing her brilliant songs...So this was heartfelt from her core.
Kasey is a huge Eminem fan and this is one of her fave songs. Kasey is traditionally country but she like to go out of her genre and do other things such as blues and rock. Kasey is the youngest Australian female to be inducted into the ARIA hall of fame and for good reason.

Kasey is a well known Australian Country music singer who has always been willing to expose her heart in her performances. If you want to hear more of her, I'd recommend starting with 'Aint no little girl'. Good reaction.

Best cover ever. Bloody brilliant. Eminem brought the lyrics but Kasey brought the emotion and soul. It made me appreciate Eminem's brilliant lyrics more. Loved it.

The fact that she is normally very country adds even more to how good this rock style rendition is, and yes to sing rap requires excellent breathing control. She was spectacular in this along with her band.

Kasey Chambers is an accomplished Australian country singer-songwriter, who has won multiple awards and accolades for her 12 studio albums and her singles releases; Kasey is a huge Eminem fan, and during Covid she reworked Eminem's rap song into her own song. Such was the difference from the original, that she was given permission to upload this performance to Spotify in it's own right.
Kasey grew up playing in the family band ( her dad plays slide guitar on this ).
She is a huge Eminem fan and always wanted to cover this one. She use the Covid Quarantine downtime to create this arrangement. It’s amazing and Eminem’s writing hold up.

I've seen an Opera Singer named Maria Fiselier do a cover of this song on a Dutch TV Show (Beste Zangers), but she rapped the whole song like the original, but Kasey took this song somewhere it has probably never been before. What a performance!
I will have to check out that other version if she raps the whole song. This was a great cover!

Kasey is actually a well known, well respected Country singer, here in in Australia. She likes to stray into other genres occasionally and her version of Lose Yourself is beyond brilliant. I don't like Rap music......other than Eminem. He can write so bloody well. Thanks for doing this reaction.
