  • I kept getting told that Yebba was an artist I needed to check out and now I know why. Hearing her sing, I couldn't help but feel the emotion that came with her words. She has a hauntingly beautiful, if, dynamic voice that seems to have endless tricks in the bag. This performance was truly amazing, intimate, emotional, and inspired. Absolutely recommend.

Great reaction! Yebba is incredibly talented, no question about that. The guitarist deserves much credit as well. His control of dynamics perfectly complements the peaks and valleys of Yebba's heartfelt and heartbreaking performance.

Two of my favorites of hers - Evergreen and her live version of Boomerang.

Yebba has some great co labs with Ed Sherrin and Clarke Beckham which are fabulous. My fav from her is the song she wrote after her mum died ‘Evergreen’. So happy you reacted to this.

Oh wow, how deep feeling can you get and that voice. Wow 😮
Sometimes I comment early, "like she smoked a ham for 30 years" what a great descriptor
Voted again. I'm sorry it's been a crazy few days so I'm behind on reactions.

Every couple of weeks I come to youtube and search Yebba reactions. Been the better part of 7 yrs now and it never gets old! As others have commented her Tiny Desk is amazing, but so are all her live performances. Do yourself the gift of watching all her stuff. It would be great to see you react to some more Yebba. She takes you on a journey every time! Go down the rabbit hole!

The level of emotion while still holding it together and blowing it out of the park is just 👌

This song is probably the best example of vocal cry ever recorded. The incredible skill it takes to let her voice go almost to breaking, but still maintain control. She's said that she won't ever record this song--to honor what happened in that room.
Her background was largely gospel, and she's said this was worship.

Another singer who really lays it bare is Lara Fabian. Different style. Lara is one of the great divas. But so much raw emotion! Check out Je suis malade Lara Fabian French and English subtitles

I enjoy you. That sounds weird, but the way you speak is wonderful. Don’t shrink yourself to a corner. I’ve listened to her sing thing a million times…I’m here for your reaction. Don’t shrink yourself for anyone. Give us at least half a screen of yourself in the future. You’re worth being seen. ❤

“This gal’s pretty seemingly dynamic voice already.” Dang Walter you are really REALLY good at this reaction thing! I can’t keep up with all the uploads but I’m so excited to binge when fate allows it. Keep it up my friend. Your graciousness and authenticity is EXACTLY what we need today. ❤🎉😊😢 I am literally moved to tears in thankfulness for you Walter. It is so moving and so raw…I needed this tonight it’s the torment of absolute devotion and love. I know…

Yeah man, Yebba is a lot like Ren, in that you scratch your head and wonder why they haven’t conquered the world yet. Her Tiny Desk performance is outstanding and so many more. He ducked out for his health, she ducked out for her mother's suicide. Both are back with a vengeance and are future mega stars.

Yebba is the best out there imho. She’s the best since Steve Perry, who is my personal favorite singer. Like Ren, her live stuff is better. I would suggest Evergreen, Boomerang (live), or her and ..oh damn forgot his name, but they do a better version of John Mayer’s Gravity, if that’s even possible lol

I've been to a few Sofar shows in LA and I cannot recommend it enough. If there's one near you, please attend if possible.
It's like a secret show where everyone has the same intention to sit and experience the music vs record/take pics on their phones for socials. Incredible.
