I can tell that was emotional for her. That's wasn't some "hey look what I can do with my voice". That was some "listen to me I'm tryna tell yall it's gon' be alright".

I’ve always said this to people who say, Mariah does “the whistle tone” better. Where, Mariah use’s it as a gimmick, Chanté use’s it as an instrument,(in some of her song’s) an additional vocal.

@@leonglo3 you mean, she did. Mariah, hasn’t taken care of her voice as she should have and developed bad habits,(smoking, a little drink, once in a while) it no long sound’s as good as it once did. Chanté on the other hand, has kept her voice in great shape,(as this video, clearly shows) where she is still able to do thing with it. Mariah, will never be as great as she once was, and it’s a shame. Chanté, will always be, Chanté.
Not to mention Mariah’s voice has deteriorated overall. Chante’ if anything sound better 30 years later.

I've witnessed Chante Moore live at Jazz Fest in Las Vegas, when I tell you she can SAAAANNNNNGGGG, I mean, awesomely too! Them whistle notes, those chirps, she can go & make it seem so easy. She plays with her talent like a cat plays with a toy. Once again, I'll always choose her, over Mariah.

She is the reason why I am convinced that when the industry folks want “looks”, it’s not a substitute for talent. They legit don’t care. They just want to sell a package. Cause Chanté HAS LOOKS N TALENT BEYOND BELIEF. But because she can sing they labels “didn’t know how” to promote her.
But when it comes to looks I’ll give Artists like JLo and Ciara SOME props because they at least try and get vocal training on their own account. (Even tho it took JLo over a damn decade to do so 👀)
