The rug!!! Oh my; the colour turned out so stunning!!! I need to try this with a rug and sheets and pillowcases!!! This is such a great affordable way to get those earthy trendy tones in your space without spending a fortune!! I love 🤩
I love that you used natural methods of dying! I actually have a similar rug that has some stains...so it's good to know that I could potentially just dump a bunch of coffee on it 😂
I'm not normally a fan of orange but that turmeric orange just glowed like a sunset. It's gorgeous. And the wall art if very pretty and creative. Clever girl.
I'm a dumpster diver and I found several massive bags of turmeric... Now I know what I'll be doing with them! Thank you like always for the awesome diys ❤️
My goodness. You’re so talented!!! You see such potential in things I wouldn’t look twice at. And the colours, techniques, and style are always epic. Everything looks so professional at the end. Other people make DIY that looks like DIY. You make stunning art out of everything you do.
Both projects are so gorgeous! The only reason I will pick the yarn project as my favorite is because you are making us pick one. :-D Also, simply because the project had more creativity to it, turning whatever it originally was in to such beautiful wall art! Love the color/technique of the rug.....awesome!
Both of these projects turned out really awesome!!! My favorite is definitely the “macrame” wall hanging! The colors mixed very well together and looked amazing!
Another 2 awesome recreations. BRAVA !!!!!!!! I would love to see another collaboration with Drew Fox. The Sorry Girls went to IKEA and up cycled only from what they could find from the AS IS section.....you guys could make something incredible, I am sure !
Kiley Kincaid Nope, You can totally wash it! It may fade slightly, but not much. Turmeric is really potent in its staining power, and will even stain plastic and glass food containers that aren’t porous at all. I’d recommend washing it alone the first time, just to be safe from rubbing off on other things. As long as you wash it in cold, you should be totally fine! 😊
Visit local indian/pakistani grocery store to save $ on turmeric. You don't wanna use petite jars of turmeric/organic or"higher" quality turmeric just to die cloth.
That rug! OMG it looked so cheap and tiny when you bought it and now somehow it looks expensive but also bigger LOL! You are seriously a miracle worker and I love the turmeric color and technique.
Both are beautiful, but I am soooo in love with that wall hanging. Because of you and Lone Fox, I'm obsessed with DIYing yarn wall hangings. I'm definitely going to do this one (with my own spin). Thank you for always inspiring me, MaCenna. It was you that got me DIYing again. I look forward to a new vid from you every Sunday. Love you, girl! 😍
I saw your boho bedroom DIY and the jersey fabric wall hanging I thought would have been so pretty naturally dyed with coffee, avocado pits, etc! So glad you tried out the turmeric dye in this video, looks amazing! ✨
After you did your kitchen update and showed the rug, I ordered it from Target ! Love it!!!! My kitchen isn’t as nice as yours but the colors are what I wanted!!! Love you and your videos!!! Thank you. I just did some dying myself but I used Rit dye in my washer for updating some older towels into a brighter green . Also love how they turned out
I'm rewatching this, because I saw the macrame coasters you did on the video you posted today and thought it'd be cool if they were dyed like this rug. Anyway, I just nearly died laughing when Kinsley ran across the couch in the background at 10:52 😂 I swear being quarantined has really helped me find joy in all the little things like that ❤ I hope you're staying safe, thanks for still posting videos through this crazy time!
Oh myyy goodness girl! I LOVE this rug sooo much and NOW I want to do it! I knew you could dye with fresh veg and fruit BUT had no idea I could actually use the "powdered form" so thanks so much for the help! The wall piece turned out awesome too...... I know it's silly and but I did a string light with the glue and THEN I macrame'd my cord. I haven't done any of this since I was a kid and it's like learning all over again. ;) I've gotten crazy amounts of compliments on that light! ALL because of YOU Miss MaCenna... Just cannot thank you enough!
Girl that color turned the rug such a beautiful almost a mustard color and I was wondering what you was going to do with the rod iron you bought very nice until Sunday tfs
OMG! I love it, I think if I go to one of those markets I would return empty-handed. Thanks to you I can see everything that can be done with things that others do not need. I love the colors you use! XO
I used to tell my students that Turmeric is great for an easy home eco dye, however, as its a fugitive dye (non fast) sunlight will fade the colour, so dry in the shade. But it's easy to top up again with another dye bath. The great thing is if you play with acidity and alkaline levels you can change the colour. Try adding iron (ferrous sulphate) to get a whole range of colours x
You have a gift for seeing design possibilities and creating beauty out of bleagh. I was skeptical when I saw that round iron thing (a shoe rack in its previous life?) And the rug was okay but uninteresting. You turned both into something eye-catching! Always enjoy your videos.
Love the rug! Firstly natural ingredients are the best, especially if u have pets or children, also commercial dyes are actually super expensive, at least were I live and not readily available so I'm sooo happy with the natural dying recipe, also how u gave examples of other colours u can achieve which shows u did your research. Great ideas! Just one question tho, does the rug give off a smell of turmeric and if so, how long before this leaves?
I loved that metal ring and the different levels, it turned out so cool, I love the colors of yearn you used, and that color you dyed that rug is the bomb, such a gorgeous color, one of the most beautiful mustard colors I have seen in a long time. Thanks so much for these DIY's this was such a fun video, you give me such inspiration to find things similar to create my own DIY. Bye for now.
I love the color the rug turned out. I don't need a yellow rug, but I sure could use some throw pillows that color! Off to find some cheap fabric, or maybe a dropcloth, to dye!
I am so surprised that the rug turned out as dark as it did! great job! I know that coffee and tea make really good dyes. I will definitely have to remember this and try it out! thanks for sharing! xoxo
Last year I ask my coworkers to keep their avocado pits. I dyed a duvet cover that was faded with it. It turned out great! A nice browny pink. Next one I'll try is the onion skin with a pillowcase :) Your wall hanging is so cool! Good job MaCenna!

I love your flips. They have such a high end look for an affordable price. I look forward to your postings every Sunday. Thank you.
Wow these came out GORGE!! I’m so amazed by that turmeric! I thought it wasn’t going to be that vibrant! and the yarn wall hanging!? Genius!!
My goodness. You’re so talented!!! You see such potential in things I wouldn’t look twice at. And the colours, techniques, and style are always epic. Everything looks so professional at the end. Other people make DIY that looks like DIY. You make stunning art out of everything you do.
The wall hanging DIY was EVERYTHING! Thank you for such beautiful and inspiring content!
Absolutely the yarn makeover, is just to die for. I love all your finds and makeovers.
Both projects are so gorgeous! The only reason I will pick the yarn project as my favorite is because you are making us pick one. :-D Also, simply because the project had more creativity to it, turning whatever it originally was in to such beautiful wall art! Love the color/technique of the rug.....awesome!
WOW! That rug color is gorgeous!! I love the wall decor, but the rug just does it for me!! Great job MaCenna!
Your idea for the metal ring was genius!!! Love how that turned out. And that rug?! WOW!! Gorgeous, gorgeous color!
Both of these projects turned out really awesome!!! My favorite is definitely the “macrame” wall hanging! The colors mixed very well together and looked amazing!
You are hands down one of my favorite people on youtube. I only have four. You are sweet and you own your crafting whole heartily.
Another 2 awesome recreations.
BRAVA !!!!!!!!
I would love to see another collaboration with Drew Fox. The Sorry Girls went to IKEA and up cycled only from what they could find from the AS IS section.....you guys could make something incredible, I am sure !
I love, love, love that rug and the dying technique. You’re amazingly talented. Always look forward to Sunday morning just to see what you create.
Aww thanks so much 🥰
Me too!!
Love, love, love the natural dye. Those bottled beets in my pantry are going to be put to use!
This is one of my most favorite flips you’ve done, I can’t wait to try out the turmeric dye! Maybe on a natural canvas tote bag?
I want to dye everything with tumeric now
same hahahah
But wouldn’t using turmeric mean you couldn’t wash the rug without losing the color?? I’m genuinely curious.
Kiley Kincaid Nope, You can totally wash it! It may fade slightly, but not much. @@BenMeier814 to add, don't wash it using soap or detergent... it turns turmeric stain go red.
Visit local indian/pakistani grocery store to save $ on turmeric. You don't wanna use petite jars of turmeric/organic or"higher" quality turmeric just to die cloth.
I love that you incorporated the mustard yellow in both pieces. One of my favorite colors right now. I like both ideas.
That rug! OMG it looked so cheap and tiny when you bought it and now somehow it looks expensive but also bigger LOL! You are seriously a miracle worker and I love the turmeric color and technique.
Righttt soooo much better 🥰
“Until the water is running through it” hehe as her little doggie runs past on the couch 🙊
*Love* both these flips, MaCenna! That turmeric yellow really has me inspired to bring some yellow into my space!
These two were a pure gift. You got the gift and I get to receive it. Thank you.
You are such an artist! Thanks for sharing your techniques and tricks!
Thank you so much & of course 🥰
I saw your boho bedroom DIY and the jersey fabric wall hanging I thought would have been so pretty naturally dyed with coffee, avocado pits, etc! So glad you tried out the turmeric dye in this video, looks amazing! ✨
I could see taking some black yarn and sewing through the rug with a pattern. Loved that color
That rug turned out awesome. Love the color because it's so vibrant.
The wall hanging was my fave, but I love that turmeric dye idea!
After you did your kitchen update and showed the rug, I ordered it from Target ! Love it!!!! My kitchen isn’t as nice as yours but the colors are what I wanted!!! Love you and your videos!!! Hahah!! 100,000,000% I thought the sameeee thing I was like dang I wish I had more tumeric 😋

The rug was definitely the coolest!

The dog running across the couch in the background!! ❤️❤️🐶❤️
Girl that color turned the rug such a beautiful almost a mustard color and I was wondering what you was going to do with the rod iron you bought very nice until Sunday tfs
Rod iron or wrought iron?
Love the first piece. You’re very creative. I wouldn’t have thought to do that design.
I love both..the color of the rug is gorgeous so was the combination of color yarns you used for the wall art
Thanks so much 🥰
I did not expect to like the wall hanging after I saw the flea market finds. However, I really like what you did with it. It came out amazing!
Soooo incredibly obsessed with the wall art!!
I didn't love the metal ring decoration but that rug.. OMG gorgeous!
That rug is gorgeous
The wall art is definitely a conversation piece.
I love all the colors you’re using!
Thanks so much 🥰
OMG! I love it, I think if I go to one of those markets I would return empty-handed. Thanks to you I can see everything that can be done with things that others do not need. I love the colors you use! XO

The rug was my fav. What a lovely colour.
I love them both but I think the wall hanging is my fave!
I loved the wall hanging! It would be fun to see you make more of those out of random finds!🤗
I used to tell my students that Turmeric is great for an easy home eco dye, however, as its a fugitive dye (non fast) sunlight will fade the colour, so dry in the shade. But it's easy to top up again with another dye bath.

For green, ya could add Heena to it.
I like both of them. But the wall art was stunning. Would like to see different flea markets. Think it would be fun. Loved the video of your trip.
Love the dying and maybe try to do some different natural colors. I would love to see different colors and designs.. you are so talented.
That rug is beautiful and my favorite color.
