More than 20 years have gone by since this particular reference was released.
Still it retains some of the appeal of its more recent reiterations.
In this video a will review the Omega Seamaster 300M

Omega need to re-issue this model again. It’s the best one they ever made.

This is so true! It's the best one but really could do with micro adjust on the bracelet and maybe some refined features. They need to keep it under 12mm thick though, and not ceramic bezel. Basically make it exactly the same as this one but maybe an updated movement and better bracelet.... modern ones are too thick and I don't like the laser etched dials at all. 2254 is the best looking one ever

I like the hands, hour markers, HEV, and bracelet on this one so much better. I wouldn’t mind seeing one that had the new movement with ceramic everywhere but is prefer the face to be a matte version.

ive had mine for 15 or 16 years now, it is the main watch i wear so it has seen a lot of wrist time over the years and is still in amazing condition and operates perfectly. have only had it serviced one time, about 5 years ago id say too. has just worked for me. really happy with the purchase and would highly recommend to anybody else looking for a great everyday watch on a more modest budget. one thats nice, but not too nice so that youre afraid of damaging or losing it. dont think i will ever get rid of it. too many memories now!

HRV is not useful for resurfacing when diving! Certainly not in the sense that 99.99% of people who have ever been diving would relate to. Its sole purpose is to enable accumulated helium from saturation diving to escape during decompression when returning divers (who aren’t diving at the time but waiting in a hyperbaric chamber) to ambient atmospheric pressure. Basically a fun gadget that nobody is going to use 😊
