    Wearing my Electric Blue as I watch this. Ive had my Electric Blue for over 4 years now and it still runs at +.5 per day. I couldn't be happier with this watch I find the pre coaxial movements to be more accurate than their coaxial movements.

      These movements have the Etchatron fine adjustment screw. I bet you could get a watchmaker to get it in the +\- 2 range for not much money. Actually I did it myself on my 2232.80

    Great to see that you that you're supporting local watchmakers like Robert! Really appreciate this. I owned 75+ watches during the last years and was always lucky that my 4-5 faults on watches appeared within the warranty time... =)
    Really love the older SMP's. I own the After-Bond-Version with the ceramic bezel but still thin case and the ETA-based movement. I flipped many watches during the years but this SMP stays on my side since around 5 years! Definitely a keeper in my collection.

    I've considered these 2892 thin movement omega seamasters from the early 2000s. I'm a fan of the older thinner vs puck like seamasters, also like the speedmaster bracelet vs traditional seamaster bracelets. These are also offered in 36mm and also have titanium options. Nice watch Robert! Thanks for sharing.

    Wow, thanks Bruce! This is super relevant to my needs. I've been hoping to find a good local watchmaker and you have provided! I've already bookmarked him. I've been considering getting my El Primero regulated since it's about six seconds per day fast, the manual suggests against adjusting backwards in time, and it's a non-hacking movement.
    I have a 300M GMT from the same era as the watch you showed (Omega 1128 movement in this case) and I agree, the lume on this era of Seamaster is absolutely brilliant. Sometimes, I ljust feel the need to turn off al the lights and admire the glow.
    Thanks again for a super informative and relevant video - this is why you're one of my favorite channels!

    I have a speedmaster I bought back in 2001. It never had good time since the beginning. It runs about 45 secs fast per day. I sent it back to Omega in Switzerland to omega within a month of owning it. It took two months to get it back. I don't think they did anything with it. It was still 45 sec fast. I sent it back right away and two months later, same issue. I gave up and just got used to setting it every time I wound it.
    I will check your watch maker out. Maybe I can get this watch to finally get this watch to be within spec!

    I have an electric blue, interesting how the movement is covered in that metal case. The new ones with see through backs don’t. These come with a thinner moment, a decorated ETA. I have heard negative things about the coaxial

    • @Todd.T
      @Todd.T Год назад

      That SMP has a "faraday cage" lead shield. The see though ones don't and of course the newest ones have an Si 14 balance spring as opposed to a Nivarox spring. The thinner 2892 is used as a "tractor" to move Dubois Depraz modules. Stand alone, they are very thin. I have a 2500C Co-Axial in my Planet Ocean and a 2500 in a Deville Prestige with no issues. I have 2 SMP 300 with no issues as well. I also have a NZL32 with the 2892 and a DD module and so far, so good. If I let the 1120 (either one) run down and the 2500C run down and agitate them enough to get them ticking again, the 2500C will run with less agitation and run way longer. One of the 1120s has had a service in the last 4 years. The other is 17 years old with no service. All of them run scary accurate on a timegrapher.

    • @rl7487
      @rl7487 Год назад

      @@Todd.T I also have a grand seiko quartz. Not a cheap quartz , it’s a serviceable movement with adjustments. 5 seconds a year and the second hand lands in the marker. I’m beginning to like it.

    Yeah, 550 to Omega and it sh*ts the bed in 3 years? I would not be pleased and frankly, I am 100% done with Omega autos due to multiple ridiculous failures. The most recent was a bleeping spring-bar failure on a 1 year old Seamaster 300. That's when you throw up your hands and say, "I give up!" From now on I'll stick with my Seamaster 200 Pre-Bond quartz. The only auto I now own is the Rolex Explorer II. Rant over...
