This random evolution mod would be absolutely crazy if it also learned that species's signature move when you evolve into it.
Not gonna lie: the size mod alone is pretty darn impressive.
Indeed, the size of the Pokemon when they're following you around is what the Pokemon should've looked like in the actual Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl games. A missed oppurtunity, it truly was.
The weirdest part is that the way they are in vanilla isn't the actual scale of the models - the models themselves are all accurately sized, the game just scales them up or down
It really does look better this way.
@@clothieredward5248 Hard disagree. You saw how the bigger pokemon like Wailord blocked off like 80% of the screen. They're scaled down for a reason, and that reason is so you can actually play the game.
@@PlayerZeroStart I can see you never played Colosseum or Gale of Darkness because those games had pokemon scaled properly and you had no issues seeing pokemon because the camera adjusted accordingly. Not to mention all the info on the pokemon (HP and Name) is always kept on the same parts of the screen and is never hidden.
Unless you're talking about overworld models and yeah duh of course they should be scaled down then

@@coltonkleins the model of the pokemon obvisoulsy doesn't have any collision activate so there is no way you could be soft lock anywhere, and again yes, in that current state the pokemon block your view, but there are ton of ways to prevent this problem and still have your companion following you, and in fact, wailord is really the only pokemon that get this problem because he is WAY larger than any other, so yeah they could have shrink wailord by half his size i agree, but for 99% of the pokemon there is no problem at all

The ghost type gym has math question because the gym leader wants to evaluate the ability of the challengers to use their logic, this is something that is addressed in the official Pokémon pearl and diamond manga. The gym champion says that seeing how people react and do on those questions help her guess what type of trainer they are, making it easier for her to come up with the best illusion (in the manga her whole battle style revolves around creating custom illusions for each opponent).

Honestly, the size Mod surprised me the most times in this. Like... I still had the mindset of my own headcanon size for each pokemon from long ago. Seeing how each pokemon in a more accurate scale put things in perspective. Like, yeah, wailord is big.
BUT Glalie is WAY bigger than I thought it'd be. Heracross is bigger as well. The Lake Guardians are so much smaller than I expected and Budew is so tiny! :O

They should honestly add a bunch of like meme or party modes, maybe even a nuzlocke mode to their games. It would really increase replayability and make people bored of the same old thing want to try it again.

I love the "real sizes" mod and I'm honestly both sad and rather irate that the games haven't actually done that properly since Battle Revolution.
I suppose there is the properly-sized Wailord in the overworld of Isle of Armour but that's about it. I desparately wish sizes were portrayed properly more often.
The issue is largely that the games have kept the screen about the same as in all of the 2D games. Close together trainers and a certain amount of space that a model is allowed to take up. If they would just drop this and make a larger battle area like in Revolution the problem would be solved.
As for following Pokémon I mean - yeah just scale them down but make sure big ones actually look big behind you.

I mean... Would you want 90% of your screen to be nothing but a blue float whale? Games greatly scales down the Pokemon for the better so the player can actually see the game. Otherwise, you have a lot of issues. Its funny for a bit, becomes very unfunny very quickly.

Quiver Dance is SO good. I remember getting it on a Lilligant in Pokemon White, and it sweeped anything it could set up on. Giga Drain also restores any HP lost during setup, so you just can't lose.
Accident is either incredibly awesome, or stinking useless. And I would not have it any other way.
