- I got together my friends Alpharad, CDawgVA, RTGame, Ludwig, pChal, SmallAnt, and CaptainKidd, and attempted to completed Pokemon Platinum with them. I complete gym 1, then pass the save file to alpharad to gym 2. He then gives the file to CDawgVA to beat gym 3, etc. until it returns to me to finish the elite 4 and beat the champion. Can we do it? and how much of a mess will it be?

I feel like if Lud actually wanted to cripple the run, he should have gone back to catch those mons and kill them. But I'm sure Jan would still be fine as there are a few more encounters that Lud can't access as they are accessible after the gym.

To be fair, Jan does insanely difficult Modded games as HC Nuzlockes regularly. Even Garbage Green, his own brainchild, was eventually defeated by him.
Pokemon Platinum is just breakfast Wheaties with Chocolate Milk to him at this point.
He's really proving why he considers himself the greatest nuzlocker to be true in this situation.

Through their videos and him reacting to their playthroughs, people like Alpharad, Smallant, JaidenAnimations and more have gotten a LOT better. He can no longer confidently say he's the best anymore since they're all just as good if not some being better

something I'm a big fan of is that it seems like everyone's section is edited just how that content creators would edit their own content. If pcrow's editor did it all, props to them, probably took a while to get everyone's type of content pace and energy and honestly, goes so far.
I noticed that too!! As a fan of both pcrow and multiple other creators in this roster, it was really fun to see all of their styles combined into one video.

Lud just had the unfortunate circumstance of being before Jan. Kidd had no such problem and Crow suffered for it
Also, Lud had the disadvantage when sabotaging of the fact that there were still many missed encounters on other routes wihich PChallenges managed to find out and use to his advantage to make his team, while there were no available encounters left for Crow, or Crow didn’t want to try and find more Pokémon

Great video. One thing really stands out and sticks in my brain: how Ludwig's sabotage feels so different to CaptainKidd's, narratively speaking.
Ludwig seemed to me to fill the in-story role of 'spiteful traitor', like his personal beef came first. Leaving (what he presented as) only one Pokémon because he 'wanted pChal to suffer'. The antagonist you love to hate.
Meanwhile CaptainKidd seemed more like a meta force of raising the stakes. It's not personal, in-story betrayal: it's authorial, almost. He left what he thought would be entertainingly difficult yet still viable options, having had the truly OP mons like Smant's Lucario carry the game this far. The setup for tension and (hopefully) triumph.
An interesting distinction, that imo adds a layer of thought-provocation to this fun challenge run and video. Good stuff.
(Before you come for me, Ludwig stans: I'm speaking narratively. This is the first I've seen of the guy, I'm not making any real-world character judgements. In fact, I tend to believe that if anyone is truly a dickhead outside of playing at lighthearted villainy for content, people don't usually agree to work with them so readily.)

Yeah, I stopped the vid during the CaptainKidd part. Ludwig at least had a motive to make it hard for Jan, which was kinda funny, but CaptainKidd was just plain annoying.

I was GENUINELY STRESSED when Lud almost died during his arc, because I wanted him to succeed at his goals, and he did. I loved that he directly called out how "everyone else just missed encounters" without realizing his very opponent, his rival, the man, no, god he wanted to smite would abuse that. Hand his late realization as he finished the fight, was the icing on the cake. ALSO, CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG BUT WASN'T HE THE ONE WHO CAUGHT PORYGON? OUR FUTURE CARRY?
PChal having just an unintentional badass arc of "I didn't even notice someone trying to stop me" was a treat to see, and the fact that he essentially said "Look, I hit the easy mode for y'all.... but there IS Iron Island still if y'all wanna risk it.
Smant going on an accidental training arc through his domain expansion: "Smant's Irony", which kicked in and instead of giving him the shiny, unintentionally spreaded Pokerus to some of our most important endgame fighters.

And finally returning full circle to PointCrow... now grown.... now having lost.... having to use what few semblences of decisions and pokémon retained from each of his allies and rivals. The Pokérus, the rare items, the Seaking and Porygon, the Alpha Luck.... culminating all in just 24 health and a dream.
I dunno, I thought this video was cool. Definitely my favorite nuzlocke video so far right up with PChal's and Alpha's greatest hits.
