Pokemon Platinum random map races are INSANE

- Pokemon Platinum but all of the warp/loading zones in the game are RANDOM. Enter a Pokecenter? you might end up in a random house, a gym, or even the Arceus encounter. EazySpeezy challenged me to a race--can I beat all 8 gym leaders and elite four members before him?

Platinum's Regigigas is level 1 & Teleport makes backtracking way easier, so uh... yea Crow's logic is sound here.

Well, duh! That thing's an absolute BEAST. Be thankful she doesn't have MEGA Garchomp like she does in the anime!

Fun fact: Dialga and Palkia have the same catch rate as a Chatot
well they have a high catch rate for legendaries, only 30. compared to Giratina with a rate of 3. they were made to be easy to catch. which makes it even more funny how long it took Speezy to catch Dialga or Palkia

The worst part is that “ghost place left” is more concrete a hint because there is only one exit in Mt. Pyre’s inside that is to the left rather than top left.

Halfway through the video I thought it would be hilarious if he somehow got access to a Super Rod catch a Level 90+ Magikarp and stomp the entire game with a Level 100 Gyarados.
And he actually does it what a madlad
Since he already had dialga, it probably wasn't worth it.
@@DrDrao well Gyarados fainted at one point it's good to have a backup plan I guess also less trips to Pokémon Centers. But mostly it's just to flex with a Level 100 Pokémon before the Elite 4
@@solidzack He coulda just master balled the palkia if he needed a backup. Woulda saved a route, the fishing time, and stuff.
@@DrDrao I mean clearly he didn't need the extra time! Plus I think he just didn't want to catch both. I think a lvl 100 gyarados was probably the faster play anyways as it's higher level and took out basically everything.
@@testerwulf3357 It's too much of a time investment for a pokemon he didn't really need. He won, but I'd still call it a bad play.

I'll probably not try this for awhile as I'm not familiar enough with Platinum, but will give the Emerald randomiser a shot. Great stuff PointCrow :)
I swear back when I knewst to play this, when I tried to catch legendary pokemon, I had to make it have 3% maximum hp while paralysed and it still took at least 20 ultra balls to catch it...
Did this happen to anybody else?
Legendaries are still hard to catch with a super low catch rate, pointcrow was just super lucky in this case 😅 and EZ had to restart for like 15 minutes straight to catch it.
Protip: Ultra Balls are garbage in gen 4+. You have so many better options that they aren't worth considering.

save in front of them, don't bother attacking, just throw balls until they're either caught or you have to reset

The gyarados Strat was actually huge

I did a speedrun of a Pokemon Emerald map randomizer that I already completed (I must defeat every Gym Leader in order, every Elite Four in order, and the Champion), so I know where everything is. It still took me 2 hours and 13 minutes to beat.
It took me about 10 minutes to find an Abra on Route 116 for Teleport, and the champion battle against Wallace also took about 15 minutes, since I kept having to soft reset. I was using a Lugia that I caught with a Master Ball.
I LOVE these randomised races so much :D

Holy shit, I had completely forgotten about eazyspeezy after he stopped showing up in my recommended like two years ago. Time to binge watch everything I’ve missed, thank you mr. crow
So what would happen if one of the gyms got locked behind the exit doors of an Elite 4 member? Or can the randomizer account for that and block certain connections from happening?
I think the exit doors are locked until you beat that member, so it must be excluded from the randomized as an option
pretty sure the exit doors just lead back to the gate u went through to go yo the elite four in the first place
@@reefb6292 Well that's the problem, you can't go through the exit doors without beating the Elite 4 member, and if the doors lead to a gym you can't get to the gym without going through the doors. That's why I was asking.
@@Arceaus98 If i’m not wrong they have accounted for all these in the randomizer. The only time where that kinda happened was in the early stages in the first race between Ant and Crow where Drake was stuck behind Waterfall
I think the randomizer makes sure you can beat the gyms and elite 4 in order, although earlier versions of the randomizer may have bugs or overlook some softlocks or blocked routes.
Is no one going to talk about how Crow called the Lustrous Orb the "Luscious Orb?"

It would’ve been pretty cool if they added “catch Giratina” as well, since the Distortion World only has its entrance and exit and you can’t get around the puzzle
Now the question is if EazySpeezy will ever learn about the Gyarados.

So, who is going to do the TRUE randomizer nuzlock? Room rando + Standard rando. Will probably have to reset a lot, and maybe play with special rules.

Mod idea: you are poor.
- Small amount of starting money.
- Defeating players gives halve as much money.
- Being defeated loses halve as much money.
- Prices of herbs and balls etc are much higher (5 times, 10 times? Something high yet barely ballanced)
- Using the PCenter costs 300 everytime.
- Accessing the PComputer costs 500 everytime.
- When you run out of money, you Game Over.
(I hope you read this lol.)
