O2J trans out of a mk4 TDI have the 100mm hubs if anyone is looking to do the swap, you can use the shifter tower from a O2J and shifter cables from a MK4 with no problem, only thing tho is to make some new holes to mount the tower to the chassis but nothing hard.
@ no problem!! Nice vídeos!! Im planning on doing the swap on my Mk3 next year but I don’t know how to do the wiring, if you can come up with a solution that is not $500 like the ones in the market right now I’ll definitely buy it
Do you mean just 2 holes to be drilled to in the tunnel to accept the mk4 shifter box? I’m hoping this is doable, collecting bits to start my swap next summer
@mancaveracingtv7631 I do work on more one car a week, but I only have time to film and edit the main projects. I do try and get little walk around when cool stuff is in 😁
That pipe is the same on the cupra r. I have 1 and i had my engine out last year so i just looked at my pick and its the same as that 1.hope that helps you 1 day.
Great video and helping people the learn to do these things and what work a garage should do on these engine swaps and what parts you need to buy or get charged for. Please could you tell me where you can get the wiring info from? Merry Christmas
Hi ron great video as always loving the mk3 content. Do you have any advice for the same conversion but I’m planning to utilise the 6 speed box. It’s looking like a. Custom shafts b. Shortened shafts c. A mystery combination of stock shafts I’m yet to know of. Anyway regardless merry Christmas keep up the great work.
I haven't ever done a 6 speed conversion myself, I hear you have to use conversion driveshafts for the 108mm cvs to mk3, slave cylinder adapters and mounts I guess. Not really looked into it myself. The 6 speed boxes are MASSIVE in comparison, not sure if clearences are a problem. If I ever have to do one I'll be sure to document it 😁
Thanks for replying I really appreciate it. I’m going to give it a shot so I guess il find out if clearance is an issue (I’m not opposed to chopping the car up abit lol) just about to watch the wiring episode 😊 thanks for the great videos and inspiration
Great work pal. We have a mk2 and will be doing this conversion at some point. I see you’ve done a couple where you finished off someone else work, any chance you doing a start to finish on mk2 like this?
Hi super Ron how do you run the oil pressure switches for the 1.8t in the mk1 golf I’ve recapped some videos but I can’t seem to see is it possible you can help me please and thanks. Loving the videos
I'll be covering that in next weeks video. You need the two oil pressure sensors from the mk1 golf, and they screw straight in the 1.8t oil filter housing. One hole has the tt oil pressure switch, bin that, and one has a blank in it, just take that out.
@ I just really like your adventuring Engineering skills. I loved build a subaru GB 270 will Twin Scroll turbo and Brembos 6 speed conversion in my garage at the back if my house over the pit. Before that I was into Mk1 golf 16v KRs I am not a mechanic I was a bench joiner and now I work in factories 😂😂😂 keep the Amazing content going Ron 👍
Just found your channel this is cool can’t wait for the next one
Thanks for watching 😁 there's two more videos after this one already to watch

@ yes sir!! @Mk3Smith has an entire series of this swap, he just drilled 2 holes and used longer bolts to attach it, that’s it.
You make it look so easy Ron 👍
Thanks, and thanks for watching 😁
@@SuperRon How much more work is´t to do the same engine swap into MK2 compare to MK3?
Mounting is exactly the same, there's a lot more room for intercooler and rad in a mk2, hydraulic clutch is a bit more work though
Had plans of putting a bam in my mk2 sirocco, then it got stolen, was like losing a member of the family after 13 years of ownership. Nice work mate.
I helped convert a mk2 scirroco 20v turbo earlier in the year, but didnt film it. Cool cars 😎
i know its a MK3 Golf video but you teasing us with a black caddy in the background and no mention of it hahaha
😂 it's only in for a mot and service, I'll do a little walk around! It's got a KR on bike carbs
@@SuperRon see we need to hear about this stuff owner permitted of course haha

Share the knowledge 😁 I get my wiring diagrams from a program called Elsawin. I'll be doing a full episode on the wiring next week 👍
I think you just determined my next project for me, ha!
Best bang for your buck out there 😁

If one comes in, unfortunately I dont get to choose the conversions, it depends on who comes in next 😁
You make it look so easy, i dont have the time or the patience to do it myself.
Who do I contact to get an estimate on fitting a 20v in a mk2 golf?
Auto_shack@hotmail.com thanks for watching 😁

Hello Ron, u aways do a Mint job 👍 can I ask would u ever consider putting an Audi Bam 225 in a BMW E 34
I'd consider anything 😁 a passat/a4 might be a better donor as everything would already be an inline engine

U certainly dont hang around! Was the front mounting split to hell or was it just my eyes?😂
That's like a dust cover they have thats perished. The mounts good underneith 👍
