Hope you’re all having a good holiday break!
The clear engine coolant bottle is this a VAG part? From which seller
Yes brother back to youtube love the content couldnt wait for next vid keep it up❤
@@done_by_0072was from autodoc this one, Mahle brand
Happy xmas
Any chance you'd hire an apprentice? I'd love to come work for you, i'm a self-taught mechanic who does work on his own cars and friends cars...
You genuinely can not hate this guy, he’s seems so nice and makes great honest content
The only thing I hate is that he's human 😅.
And can't expect him to have these videos pumping out like weekly food. But yeah, this is mostly a joke😢😅❤❤❤
Well he’s deleting the comments soo…
@@Emp1r1us fr?
Been looking forward to this more than Christmas! 😂 Good to have your content back
Haha thanks mate! Hope you had a good one!
@@TRHamza Hamza if you want to clean dirty intricate aluminum cases try out dry-ice blasting very good results, but for your garage shop and long term use when you want to clean parts on future projects might also think to get a Vixen cabinet pressure water cleaning machine it will make the parts looking brand new ! happy new year !
Don't take too long mate, waiting for part 9 sooner
missed this channels uploads. i go back every so often and rewatch the m140i series, mk5 series and the rest lmao
Legend 🤣👌🏼 Thank you
The high mileage GTi was what got me following
I don't watch many mechanical videos from start to finish, but always do with yours Hamza! Really nice job mate
Really appreciate it thank you mate!
Love the fact you’re so thorough. Always good to see the smaller items taken care of. Great work dude.
I love your honesty, not many experienced technicians would have included the non start at the end 👍🏻 👏 keep up the good work
I had to literally binge watch the restoration episode from Part 1 to 8 because i am loving your work.
Outstanding work for DIY and love the attention to detail.
The R36 is looking too fresh and definitely a channel car keeper.😊
Thumbs up 👍
Man I’ve been watching you for so many years and I’ve always loved watching the content being a VAG enthusiast with you always going so in depth and having no problem letting people know you’re just giving some of these things a shot! ❤😅✊🏾
Mr Hamza!!! Where have you been?. Glad to see the progress on the car . Sounds lovely. Great job. 😎👍
A tip for the future: When tightening the flywheel bolts on any car, stick a bolt in one of the holes in the engine block and use that bolt and a prybar at the toothed ring gear on the flywheel to hold it in place with one hand and tighten the bolts with the other hand :)
I’ve found cleaning aluminium parts with WD-40 and a scotch brite pad works great. If you really want a good finish, dry ice blasting the parts is a good method. Not sure how much the machines are but the videos I’ve seen on them are great.
I’ll give that WD40 trick a go, the only drawback at the minute with ice blasting is I’ll have to outsource and moving stuff around, results do look amazing though.
The legend is backk!! Great job mate! Is it normal that the engine rock back and forth that much?
Esse é o tipo de manutenção que valorizo.
Parabéns pela disposição e dedicação.
Saudações do Brasil.
I highly appreciate this maintenance video. Thanks a lot. Following from Cape Town 🇿🇦
Glad you liked it, great to have you watching from SA 👌🏼
The video I have been to watch the whole of December, really appreciate the work you do brother, what a interesting episode, lot's of support from South Africa brother 🙌👌🇿🇦🤝
Hey man, i really like your videos and the efforts you out into restoring these cars. I noticed that you didn’t mention that when you do a timing chain work, you’re tecnically supposed to tell the ECU that it has a new chain. This probably could fix the issues the car told you about and can be done through VCDS. However, because I never looked at the software I don’t know where to find the setting. I think that is under the adaptation section and then if you look there should be the reset of the position of the timing chain. I know that Humble Mechanic did a few guides about timing a VR6, so that content could probably help you more than my words. Hope you find this comment useful
Thanks man, I’ve not heard this before but I will definitely check it out in VCDS! Appreciate the tip 👍🏼
@ I may have found how to do that. You plug VCDS into the car and you open the software, then you click the “Gateway Installation list” how you would normally do to read the faults in the ECU. Then, you open the “CAN Gateway” (which should be number 19) and there should be the Adaptation button; click that and there should be a list of things you can do. The timing chain reset should be in that list
Finally something good to watch, wishing you well in your traveling during the holidays ❤
humblemechanic is a good watch with vr6 r32 stuff as is deutcheautopatts just for the comedy factor
Matey you have absolutely smashed it out of the park with this r36. I've been waiting for this video 🤓🤙🏽🇩🇪
Sold my mk5 Pirelli edition. Miss working on that car. Watching these videos bring back the joy haha
Great work like usual, attention to detail is spot on in all the work you do
Thank you!
Love the video.... When i work at Vw/audi dealer.. Wire brush on mating surfaces like oil pan and timing covers was big no no.. You can buy 3M green Roloc Bristle Disc to clean off old sealant and what not.
Thank you! I did consider not using the drill wire brush on the sump because it might be too aggressive but the Erwin manual diagram stated it would be ok to use one
I’ll monitor it for leaks etc, didn’t go too heavy thankfully. Will look into the 3M method for next job as always open to different methods 👍🏼
You can try something called prepsol. It's a water based cleaner so won't damage paint and should clean up aluminium with ease. Alternative to that is to ice blast.
Another fascinating video mate, need to see this weapon when she's completely finished! Happy New Year bro 👊
Thank you Joe, definitely 👌🏼
Hope you had a good Christmas - and Happy New Year mate!
I generally watch a portion of the video and save the rest for later. Just to prolong the enjoyment 😂😂. Hamza start making 2 hour videos for us😂😂
I’ll try 🤣 This is probably my longest ever one too
Молодец, огромный объем работ сделал...
Поздравляю с Рождеством христовым и наступающим новым годом! И огромный привет из Москвы ❤
Simply lovely to see videos from you mate, appreciate your work! Entertaining and enjoyable 💪🏼 I can’t wait to see new content from you next year! Best regards from Romania 🙌🏻
Thank you mate! Glad to have you watching from Romania 🙌🏼
Really enjoying this series, definitely one of the most satisfying to watch. Very relatable content.
Great video, excellent job on the timing chain
Can’t beat having ago yourself 👍
Can’t help with misfire but as a rule of thumb I always checked spark plug gaps before fitting them, just incase
love the scirocco in the back….. cannot wait for that one to get finished
Back on it in the new year, could only deal with one R36 at a time haha
What a great sense of relief when it eventually started.
Hamza mate just a little tip
On VCDS you can make it fullscreen instead of it being a tiny little window😭
love the content on the channel bro, have been waiting on an R36 update for a while good to see its up and running. I was also inspired by you with the MK5 content you done a while back, got an ED30 same spec as you had and now also building a 1 of 1 Pirelli Edition with a sunroof, can hopefully get it on the channel once its complete
Great job, I was so happy to hear that fantastic engine breath in to life.
Sounds good. Look forward to the next episode. Thank you
Great work again mate. One of my favourite car on RUclips 👍🏻👍🏻
I'm glad you mentioned the dog bone not being connected at the end because I could see it rocking and I was like noooooooo!
😂
Not a rookie mistake at all we all miss things as there is so much to remember spot on mate
finally my man! keep it up, love these videos, keep wrenching, you're getting better
Such a chilled dude love your channel mate the wsy you do things that you dont o ow but give it a go.
Well done Mr Hamza, that was a big task to undertake, you smashed it out of the park.
Looking forward to the next one, happy New Year❤.
Good to see you back on this! Ice blasting will get the cleaning done on everything. Keep up the good work. 👍🏼👍🏼
Ice blasting would be great, I’m going to see what I can do 🤞🏼
@ Dean @savingsalvage used a company recently.
not a halfords type of cheap diy kit tho
Love the detail you have went too with this passat it's an amazing transformation
Too good for a first timer mate
Im watching your videos from South Africa
Great to watch these videos man ! Need an ASMR complication of the cleaning for my OCD fix hahah 😍😍
Great video! Personally would love to see a super detailed unedited rebuild video "guide" for those rebuilding their own 3.6 to use as a reference
It's really nice looking R36 passat.
Love the video, can't wait for ep.9 😉
Have a nice holiday and happy new year 😉
Glad to see your back, might just need some strong fuel cleaner quite neat in the tank just to clean the fuel system and injectors :)
This brothers content is so underrated 🔥👌🏽
You should look into getting yourself a vacuum filler/airbleeder for the cooling system. They are universal and work on every car. Saves a bunch of time and headaches :)
Love these in-depth videos great work
Yay hamza is back I love all your videos keep up the good work mate
❤❤❤
Tr hamza, very good informative videos. I think the way you deliver and educate is fantastic and your channel has so much potential for growth. I think you’re missing a trick, if I was you I would invest more time and get a video team in, initial outlay would be rewarded in the long term. Best of luck for the future
Exactly the kind of content I like watching 😊
And I was just thinking this afternoon what is happening about an update video
Great video mate love your stuff keep it up
Happy new year
Thanks mate good timing! Happy New Year to you also
Thanks for taking the plunge with the chains and making another video. As always top content
Great job mate 👍. I did a similar thing with my T4. After disconnecting so much it's easy to miss a plug or two 😊

Good to have you back Big Man👏 Been missing the content🍺 looking forward to upcoming videos 👍
Nice one mate! plenty to come 🙌🏼
Very helpfull series! Gives me a bit of ideas and motivation to finish my own opel astra g opc turbo. Cheers!
Hello From Aus,
Nice and detailed video series on the R36.
I'm looking to buy one also. Inspired. It has high g
Ks so ill be doing timing if not a rebuild if the compression is low
sand blasting is an effective method that m539 restorations uses to clean the metal stuff
Yooo. He's back 🎉
I cant wait for the first drive
Me too, been ages since I drove it!
Assalamu Aleykum brother, i wish you alle the best and inshallah soon you will have 1 million subscribers
Beautiful. Made me smile 😃
Happy New year to you ❤
good job for being the 1st time happy new year when it comes
I'm not even into cars but you make it look interesting to so these things
Have a look on the data blocks if you can see the misfires counting, bad injectors can cause a driveable/ slight misfire with no eml
Great video! Sachs make vw flywheels , LUK is what the OEM flywheels are on bmws.
Cant wait to see this back on the road!!
Thanks for the nod on the rocko project !!
Starting to like your page bro. Good content and no click bait bs 👍🏼
Yess been waiting for another episode!! hope you had a good Christmas!
Look for aluminum brightener. Comes in a spray bottle. Seems to work well.
Great update and loving the R36 project 🙌
Loving this r36 series
Glad to see your back!
Fantastic car, you have done a fantastic job. Only thing I might have done is the alternator pulley, sod to get to with engine in.
Use alloy wheel cleaner for cleaning gearbox does a pretty good job
I can advise you to replace the seal (double O shaped or 8 shaped) between the oil filter housing and the engine block as this is a common leakage point.
First video of yours I have watched. Dude, your awesome 😎
Im giving you a follow and a like watched the whole vid, never got boring, i like the specifics u give, i just started mechanics learning, dont want to pay garages huge amounts when i can do it myself. Sound for the content❤️
dry ice blasting would clean all that up make it look brand new 👍🏾
Hope your well my friend! 😊
Yo can we get an update on the scirocco, maybe a review too? Not enough content on them out there 👀
