@DasJav the b7 rs4 is an amazing car, not the fastest rs but the normally aspirated high revving v8 is amazing. With any car like this comes big bills. Get a bad one and the costs snowball out of control. I'd have one one day though!

I have fitted an astra mk4 one to a bmw 1series race car to replace the mechanical pump from what I remember you just had to power the pump off a switch and plumb it in like the mechanical one.

@@SuperRon The mk4 pump has 4 wires, ground, switch and a 2pin conmector.. any ideas whats that for? Does it need to pass through the ecu in order to work?

I just dug my wiring diagram on the job to see if I noted down the mk4 pas wires but unfortunately I didn't 👎 no ECU's involved though, I think I just had to give it a big battery wire then an ignition feed to 2 of the wires and there was an earth. Hopefully Google will have your answer

@@SuperRon yeah managed to find out.. Big red goes to +ve, big brown to ground, then from the three small wires (one for ecu diagnostics - not connected, one to ignition live and one to alternator output to give it some delay). This will speed up the pump instantly, rather than connecting both wires to 12v ignition.

It's not such a big deal in a turbo'd car as it passes through the intercooler anyway, but yes for optimum performance a cold air intake would be better. But it's not a major compromise to performance for the looks of the bay. Thanks for watching 😁

@SuperRon fair point. Intercooler would fix any of that by rights then happy days. Any thoughts on battery yet. Still can't decide what to do with mine but defo want it out of engine bay I can put a oil cooler in its place

@richie7714 we're waiting for the seats to come back, but will probably be a sealed gel battery under the seat.

Anythings possible, depends how much work you want to put in 😂 it has been done before. Initial problems is the 6speed box needs clearance to the chassis leg, and the prop points at the steering rack, loads of room at the back for the haldex though 😀 would love to do one 😁

Usually people use a mk3/mk4/corrado 02a or 02j. The latter more favorable shifter wise. 👍

You need to have a pump to fill up the swirl pot. On a caddy I had to add the external one shown, on a mk1 you can use a gti internal lift pump to fill it. Or the external one like I've shown. Thanks for watching 😁

@@SimplicityFab yes, but they never put a lift pump in a caddy tank, hence why I've had to go the external route. I've used this exact setup on a mk2 using the factory lift pump.

I think it was from a mk3 golf, can't remember as it came with the first gearbox.

Yes most should be the same, sometimes some variation on pins and wire colours depending on donors, but the procedure is the same

They are corrado G60 280mm discs and these adapters: www.retrofication.co.uk/562.html

The indicator was just a bit of corrosion in the bulb holder. Wiring wise they all wire in the same to wire in pretty much. There are some variants on 20vt's, cable throttle, vvt, wideband lambda, egt, but they can all be mapped to suit with supporting mods.
