Walbro says, "Walbro’s revolutionary new Spiral metering diaphragm is unaffected by ethanol and provides consistent fuel delivery, engine performance and exhaust emissions throughout the life of hand-held products." It is the last metering diaphragm you will ever put on your Walbro carburetor! LET'S PUT IT TO THE TEST!! If you found this video helpful, please LIKE, SUBSCRIBE and COMMENT!

To a terrific lady & technician: I must thank you for your the way you explain things, your professionalism, + the way you demonstrate each operation of a repair. Your product knowledge is uncanny to say the least. In one of your recent videos on string trimmers you had mentioned about greasing the head bearing. Over my lifetime I must have owned 6 gasoline string trimmers and I never knew about this maintenance issue. I have a 1 year old Red Max gas trimmer, I checked it & you were 100% correct. It was dry as the Sahara desert 🏜. There is nothing in the owners manual about this maintenance requirement. Thank you again 💓 💖, I'm glad that I'm a subscriber to your channel. Stay well 🙏 & be great as always, Thomas from N.J.
Thank you Thomas! Glad I could help!
Beautiful handsome shop kitty. It's about time a company made a lasts a lifetime carb kit. Let's hope they don't charge too much for it?
I knew about those new diaphragms but this is the first video I have seen making a repair with one. Thanks for showing us that they work well.
Wow! My day is complete. I learned something new. Thank you for providing the part numbers. Most awesome video.
I read about this new diaphragm a while back. Glad to see how it is installed.
I love their innovation. I have had access to the new metering diaphragms for a while now but I keep forgetting to order a couple from my Walbro supplier when I make an order.
Very nice to see new stuff in the way of kits .I’ll have to check the site out and see .👍
Thanks! Your video are great ,I learn a little from each one. I have been work on small engines sense 1967.
You are the best yet from all the videos I watched thank you
Wow!! I can remember them Walbro’s back in the day👍 Didn’t realize their popularity these days. Had a big ol Walbro on my 75 Scorpion Whip. No troubles with it. Liked your video😎
I like your content and upbeat personality. Makes the videos a pleasant experience.
Hi, I was a Lab Tech for Walbro for 4 years, worked at Husqvarna for 24 years and 1 year at Stihl. Just wanted to say I enjoy you videos and your do a very good job.
Great video, that's awesome Walbro came out with those new kits and long lasting purge bulbs to combat the effects of ethanol gas on small engine equipment!
Finally a company that cares about its reputation!!! So many companies cutting corners (China) to improve bottom line after a company spent years building a good name for it's self really scary!!!
That was a cool one. It's great to see machines being brought back from the dead. Really enjoy your channel.
Thanks for watching Bob!
That was really cool. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the info
That Walbro carb. kit is really nice! IN are shop going to be a much kit to use on there carb. That unit started so fast and ran great from idle to full rpm was right there. Thanks for showing that. nice!
I really appreciate your channel for all your precise and clear instructions for small engine repair.....Now that I have said that...My only complaint is I really would like to see CLOSE UPS of the detail parts that you so hastily put together ie .. carburetor jets, needle valves...etc. etc... Thank You so very much.....I have learned so much from your channel.
kool info on parts !!!! solved most all my fuel problems by going with Aspen fuel in the mower and trufuel premixes in all the 2 cycle stuff and as always drain your equipment in the fall and it will start in the spring.
That was awesome. You rebuilt that carbeurator. The best part was that it ran good.
Hi, Miss Bre😎
Him's a BIG boy😺
A lot of guys sing praises about Echo fuel line. My Poulan 3800 came with Echo line installed. The seller was nice enough to send me a length of the line to use in my S25AV as he never installed the line in one. After installation I used some PC Duster Gas to verify the line wasn't plugged, or blocked in any way.
Nice job again!! Interesting new Walbro carb kit. Hope it lasts a long time! Thank you...🎅🤶
It was so happy to come alive it did not want to stop. Nice repair.
Stay safe, Joe Z
I enjoy watching your continuing posted videos. As many as those Walbro carbs as I have fixed, who knew they would come out with a new type diaphragm... And 9 out of 10 times it is that diaphragm too. In fact, I don't know if I ever needed a new needle or seat. Thumbs Up!
Thanks Gary!
Very well presented and concise video on the new Walbro product line for two stroke carbs. Looking forward to the next one the OLD MAN at EP over and out!
Thanks Wayne!!
Another great video!!!!
Great video chick!!
Keep them coming??
Njoyed watchin n learnin.
And using those spring diaphragms for the last couple years from walbro they are a game changer
Nice job mam, another fine job you've done.
Good video as always brie keep up the fantastic work
I have repaired an old Tecumseh chipper gas tank (brittle due to age, and also where you place your left hand to pull the starter cord) with JB Weld a year or more ago. It still is holding and working.
Ah the ole Roadkill gas tank trick trick LOL great video !
Love you Chickanic!
Ha new favorite small engine mechanic... you are using a couple quality tools that I use everyday since 97... I'm a electrician good choice...🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Great “Home Alone” thumbnail!
Terrific.
You are awesome thanks for the great videos!
Heck! I haven't even seen it yet and I'm giving it a like!
Great clip.
Cool cat!
Yes, I like Walbro too.
Great job! I enjoyed the video.
Keep up the good work
Well done Bree you make it look simple I would probably pull my ears off lol thanks
Great job !!!!!
Oh that's chick mechanic! For the longest time I thought it was chick maniac! I had no problem with that 😁
Awesome knowledge.
Shared with co-worker.
Thanks Del!
I also watch "Steve's Small Engine Saloon" He also got that spiral metering diaphragm from Walbro, and did a video on it. Wish ZAMA would do the same for their carbs.
Very nice vides.I am learning a lot from your videos. 😊
I've seen Steve talked about it but never installed it good video
I use Briggs AFt or 5 in 1 stabilizer when I can find it. I bought ten bottles a few years ago when Walmart put it out with a liquidation price. I guess this shows what most homeowners think about fuel stabilizer. I try to buy oem Walbro carburator rebuild kits when I can find them. I burn only Premium non ethanol gas in everything I own, small engine. When I rebuild a carb it gets cooked in my ultrasonic and blown out with compressed air when that is through.
Thank s
I did around 40 post holes with one just like that when my wife wanted a garden.... it's leaning out in the mower shed in a corner for the last 7 years....
Love your videos
You are awesome!
Good afternoon.. just putting up some Christmas lights for Riley boy before he gets home from school.. will watch In a while
Hello Darlin'! Hope all is well across the pond. Yes, I still don't have my lights up. lol
i recommend the spiral diaphragm first every time now great video
Awesome video!
Thanks!
I had fuel issues since ethanol gas came around. Used ethanol remover with some results. Point being, I moved to a rural community where a station has non ethynol gas with a 91 octane. No problems since. I know everyone can't move. I am just agreeing that ethanol gas is a problem
True ethanol is bad but it’s the benzene in gasoline that does the worst damage to small engines.
Ok great video on that Walbro test
@Chickanic a shop tour would be a cool video if you have time. Good point non ethanol fuel or premix is the key. Pump gas should be outlawed for 2 strokes. I've always liked WALBRO as well.
Good video!
Great video as always 👍. I've never heard of Walbro up here in Cape Breton but the diaphragm trick looks like a time saver. You look cool 😎 in the hat too .
Thanks Mike!
Your great keep it up
I like the new kits.
Ten months ago, you probably won’t read this but I enjoyed this video. I fly Radio Control airplanes, large scale. Most have walbro carb’s. Except they don’t have primers. We’ve got to be extremely careful with are needle settings. Most run over 6400 RPM. You probably would believe the crap that clog’s the micro screen inside those little carbs.
I wonder if that new diagram assembly is available for these engines? Most of us use ethanol free 91 or higher and there’s no consensus of best two stroke oil! NWR C/S Krafty.
Nice 👍
Steve's Saloon showed the same diaphragm some time ago and loved it. I'm sure you will too !!
I have one of those Predator augers. The mold for the choke lever is marked backwards, the choke on position is actually choke off. Aside from that, they are good engines. I have both an Auger and a generator. With the automotive size of muffler on the generator, it is the quietest one I have ever heard.
No
I love that you’re a cat person. They are intelligent and loyal. Oh, I loved the vid too. I put one of the spiral diaphragm kits in my Echo 501p 2 years ago. So far so good even though I use ethanol free.
Thank you.
I wonder how the carb kit is holding up after the 2 years since this video was posted? It seemed like a pretty cool innovation.
Great video. 😎👍
I don't know if you have one or not, but if you don't you should really think about getting an ultrasonic cleaner. I finally got one for my shop a few months ago and that has totally changed the carburetor game. A run or two in Simple Green in the cleaner and those carburetors come up squeaky clean! I've even used it on those two stroke gas tanks and they come up like brand new. A 6.5l size is the one I got. Once you use one, you'll wonder how you ever got along without it!
That is a pretty cool concept. And Toby the cat kind of looks like one of Taryl’s cats “Mommo”.
I haven't seen his cat, but everyone needs a shop kitty!
@@Chickanic My cat, Minnie sometimes comes out in my little shop but I’m not too keen on the idea of her being outside since she’s primarily an indoor cat. She’s a big grey tabby. Probably close to 20 pounds. And Taryl just uploaded a vid of his cats several days ago.
Gotta get my ice auger out, I may need one of those kits. It was running a little off last year. Jiffy auger not sure of the brand motor, thanks for reminding me!!!👍
Walbro, you can’t kill it!
A hole in the gas tank, well, it aint got no gas in it, hmm mmm. I sure would love me some fuel stabilizer that smells like aftershave hmm mmm. Spiral shaped diaphram, that sure is strange hmm mmm. I think you got a faulty switch for sure hmm mmm. I am suddenly feeling hungry for french fry potaters hmm mmm. Good work Chickanic!
😂 Thanks Stellar!
Nice Walbro Beanie Bre😀
good job
It's been sick for so long, it doesn't wanna quit now!
Just in time for ice fishing!
My dad works at Walbro’s up in Cass City Michigan.
Love seeing your skills in action!
Was this your auger?
I always enjoy you fixing things that are old and have been sitting around for awhile and haven’t been started and run.
Love too see more of those types of videos now 😏🤘❤️🔥💯
It was! I have to get a fence around my garden built. Damn bulldogs think my walkways are their bathroom. Errrrrr. Thanks for watching again!
@@Chickanic Cool and your welcome 😊
Love to see you do a video on that
Great video i hope they make more of these for more of there carbs. Found it very interesting. I have to say i havent dont a carb job in years. My echo run daily so they see alot of use Ever since i switched to red amour my carbs last longer. So everyone get down to her shop and pick up red amour by echo good stuff Yes its worth the extra money.
Hope you read this comment. I am a retired CAT&CUMMINGS diesel mechanic and I enjoy your videos. About ten years ago I had a friend that bought a boat with a inboard engine that had been sitting for several years. It had a 75 gallon gas tank that was about half full of stale gas. He asked me for advice on the stale gas because I worked on marine diesels.
So I told him about a company named Starbright that had a product called Starton. Which to his and mine amazement brought that gas back from the dead! After that I researched the product and found it to be a fuel stabilizer that's really good for treating ethanol gas! I have been using it for all my engine including chainsaws and string trimmer.
I love your channel. I noticed your intro sounds eerily similar to Mr, Ballen.
I've rebuilt quit a few carbs but on small stuff it's cheap and easier to just buy a new one. just ordered one for one of my cheap chainsaws got everything from the spark plug fuel filter & lines & carb for $16
Awsome job, thanks for the humor! How do I identify a Walburn carb?
Good job girl
Loving the hat, looks cute!
That carb kit is a game changer . I really like it . How did the carb cleaner work , was it better than the big box store cleaner ? Thank you for the excellent video !!
I was really hoping to see what it would do in the fuel tank, but ended up just ordering another after I found the hole. The carb ended up not being that bad, so I could tell the difference in performance. The spray button felt nice though.
Hi first time viewer l like what I see hope to see more.👍
you have found my new aftershave ( Ive loved the smell of jizer for years caught a couple of looks for it but I do like the smell
Wow, i like the looks of new metering diaphragm deal...are these available for a wide range of walbros ?
Two thumbs up.
I thoroughly enjoy your videos as I find them both instructive and entertaining, thank you.
I have a Husqvarna 350 chainsaws. The manual calls for a 50:1 gas to oil mix for fuel. I have been using 45:1 mix in the belief that a bit of extra lubrication would be beneficial to keep the engine well lubricated. The saw seemed to be running fine with the 45:1 gas to oil fuel mix. Is there a down side to my thinking? Your comments/suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks, Peter Toch
I guess that the cat is nasty! 😳🤣🤙🏾
If Walbro sponsored this video they do not have their $hit together. They should have given you a link to the Walbro store on Amazon where the viewer can find the spiral kit that they need for their equipment. The link you have is for 1 kit K1-WYTA sold by a 3rd party.
Used to use an articulated (two lengths joined with a u-joint) hydraulic drag auger when I would load grain. Hydraulic motor mounted on the intake of the actual grain auger. Handle on the other end of the drag auger. No off switch on that thing. Sooo dangerous. Nowadays I pucker up just looking at augers🙈
Got a lot of old pieces mixed with the new. Hope you are able to keep track of them, because I certainly can’t.
