Looking at this picture just reminds me of back in the good old days when I first got my 6.0 it was good times broke it down send it to the Machine Shop got it board new cranks and rods 408 Stroker Good Times need to build another one and you're definitely right it is a lot of f****** work but it's worth it I don't know necessarily if I'm going to do it again on the next one might do things a little different but have no regrets.

In the process of pulling a LQ9 out of a 02 Escalade EXT. I work at a scrap yard so all types of vehicles come thru all the time. This would be my first LS anything. I'll probably find a car or truck to put it in but I have a 1998 RWD Astro right now, idk if I wanna go thru all the troubles to squeeze the 6.0 in there. I just knew I had to have it when that Caddy rolled across the scale to be crushed. Got any suggestions on a mild build? Or things I need to look out for to make it a reliable engine for a daily driver. Sounds dumb I know but I just want something fun I can cruise and smoke some tires. 😎 I saw that some oil was leaking out of the throttle body after pulling stuff off. I've heard the earlier engines do that. What causes that?

my brother just found an old 1980 ford courier pretty well straight in thinking if it blows up so this or build my om606 turbo motor with a 6speed behind it and a ford 9in. rear end and big brakes would be a lot of fun for me and him

I'm not knocking anyone's build but the amount of people swapping LS's in these tiny ass cars is sad. These guys mine as well just buy damn chevys bc they are basically openly admitting that they love chevy bro
I have had several 2012-2014 6.0 3/4 ton work trucks with 400k on them near a brand new one and you couslnt tell the difference. Very tough motor. Juat ahitty on fuel and thats why we have duramax units now. (Them 6.0s would even start in -30)
This is why the LS engine platform is probably the best

He ran out of M.A.P = manifold absolute pressure not M.A.F = mass air flow

Can’t go wrong with a 370ci setup. That’s what plan on building. Seen many handling over 30+psi boosted.

Would it be possible to build one (n/a) and drop it in a 93 c4?
Lq4 is better than the 6.2's because it's iron. It'll handle more boost right from the get go.
And if you want N/A, just bore the lq4 to a 6.2.

The LY6 6.0 is the best 6.0 gen 4 internals, ls3 heads and intake. It’s the closest thing you can get to an LS3
I was given a 6.0 but i dont know if its iron or aluminum and if its a lq4
A magnet will solve your thoughts
If it is a lq4 or lq9, then it is a cast iron block with aluminum 317 heads.

I can put you on game for a l99. I upgraded and pushing over 600whp and bout to be over 700 when I do stg 3 cam new heads tb cai and tune
