This is kinda basically the way all aggressive style players play if they have any game sense. If you can keep yourself moving at a good pace and somewhat anticipate your enemies movements based off of common lanes you can do exactly what this guys doing almost every match. Every map has common lanes and every map has an average playtime. Some require more calm long range fights while others require fast paced slide shotgunning.

Firstly, how do you only have 25K subs. Calm voice, no cockiness and easy to follow instructional videos.
Secondly, I have started to incorporate this rule more and more in my game. Trying to position myself to better use my load-out. I primarily run sniper/side arm so I have been trying to rotate from lane to lane or just change my angle on a lane. I have already noticed a major improvement in my game. I am actually being able to carry some teams in freelance instead of just being an "also there" player. However, with this being said.....
One of my biggest issues I am having right now though, is how to adjust on the fly when on a team with one or two weaker players and I start forcing myself to try to carry them. When I don't realize that I am carrying a team it seams seamless and easy. As soon as I realize I'm doing this though my game starts to falter. Is there any advise you can give to me for these situations?

i feel like ive always done this absentmindedly when i started to play pvp more towards the end of D1, i used to do raids then just play pvp at the end of them with the 6 of us and that would be the only pvp i ever did, around rise of iron i started playing pvp a lot more and not just for fun i wanted to start getting better as i felt ive done everything i could in pve.
i finished d1 with only 9 or 10 flawless tickets but i only really cared enough to start trying at the end of ttk and start of roi, that carried over to D2 and to trials of the nine (5-7 tickets before i sort of gave up on the mode after getting all the gear) and into competitive, ive always moved around and never stayed somewhere for to long, i wont deny watching cammy and the likes play helped me understand there was more to pvp than just raw aim, movement, positioning, ect.
i dont consider myself top tire no where close, if anything im a slightly above average player who can hold his own against upper tire players due to map knowledge and movement. season 3 getting claymore was one of the hardest things i had done pvp wise, matching against top tire players almost regually and still giving them a fight, i liked S3's mm, i learnt by my mistakes and my losses and i understood more that staying somewhere to long would result in a death or a gun fight im not ready for. i eventually got my claymore and met some people i still play with today while doing so.
i play with a lot more confidence now even if i match players like frost or drew and so on, i dont dewell on the fact theyre better than i, ill play my game just like they play theirs and ill learn from any mistakes i make. i look forward to matching upper tire players now because i get that chancve to test myself against some bloody good players.
i do feel like i impliment the 2 seconds now into my style of play without even realising it. and it helps. a lot.

Then just adjust play, a push for the enemy does not have to be direct, the easiest way to 1v3 isn't to take them directly, it is to run to a spot where you can make your best play, do damage, maybe get a kill and then move again. Toss grenades in to break them up, stuff like that. Instead of thinking in the moment, think ahead, know your map and tell yourself "I am going to run to this cover, take shots at them, and then escape in this direction" like actually tell yourself what you are doing in your head, make commentary for yourself.

Having the flawless title doesn't make you a good player, the number of flawlesses don't either, saying trials a lot, I can go against people with 100 or 200 who play terrible because their playstyle is too fast which gives them little time to think and they make mistakes, they split up and get picked off. Your gun skill, movement and positioning is what will get you somewhere in trials, get used to a load out and stick to it and use apps to help you find any godroll armour or weapons and work with what's meta

Your editing is always outstanding - top it all off with that accent and I'm a crucible doctor convert.
A follow up on game sense and how it relates to movement / target acquisition would be awesome. Being more mobile is a good skill in and of itself - but without the game sense to decide where to move to it only goes so far. My worst games are when I get into auto-pilot, find red on my radar and engage it almost blindly. It's a hard habit to break.

6:43 applying the 2 second rule while in a gunfight! This is the big takeaway for me from thsi video. I often find myself in protracted fights where we are both dipping in and out of cover, and I am trying to work an angle, and he is weak, and I think I have the kill, and then I get killed by his teammate. IN hindsight I always see that I was over committed. But I think the simple huristic that I should get the kill in the 2 seconds, or just move on could save me from a number of unnecessary deaths. After I saw the results I realized that none of the top-tier streamers I watch are in one place for more than a few seconds, even in slow-paced Trials they’re usually running around trying to get pings on radars and such. Great video as always.

Dead ass most helpful thing... I just finally started pc gaming like a week ago after wanting to for 15 years! This reminded me of destiny 1.. I used that rule on console and I did mediocre.. but I was never really into shooters on console. Watching this reminded me! And god damn I’ve fallen in love with shooters on pc! All of em! Been trying to get tlw and couldn’t get past 5% we’ll just today I’ve gone up to 75%! Thanks for the reminder! Subbed man!

This was such a helpful video. Today was my first time in this season and perhaps the addition of SBMM being removed was a big factor, but this has changed my game. I played all night focusing on 2 sec and moving and I had my best night ever.

I just stumbled across this video and didn’t realize this is the core part of my play style, I most likely developed this in D1 when I was mostly using scout rifles because moving around as you said lets you pick and choose your fights which is invaluable when using scouts, and slower firing weapons

Thanks for this vid dude. Def do one on Game sense. You have a great way of being able to simplify in what would be 30 minutes of me trying to find the words.

I've been playing a ton of crucible recently, and as a result tried tons of different weapons and play styles. Constant movement is one of the best things I tried. I also found controlling a part of the map, not just a small corner but half the entire thing. Did this in rumble and won match after match, I would keep an eye on the radar and sort of defend 'my territory' while still moving around the entire side of the map and keeping unpredictable.

Hi Nomad. I am your average PvP player. And what you said in this video opened my eyes to an obvious truth about my game. I thought about the last few games in which I did really well and the overlaying factor was movement. Not being bogged down at the back of the map or waiting for the fight to come to me.
Your idea about telling myself the 2 second rule will go right next to the 'Don't Get Yourself Killed' motto. I try to go into engagements with the mind set of not dying. That means if I am getting stomped then instead of continuing and probably dying, , I will strategically retreat, survive and re-engage.
Thanks for the great video fella.

hey i know this is a older video but this video was amazingingly useful, im a veteran player whos been playing bubble since D1. Ive always ended up playing super defensensivly and always pinned why i wasing doing well or getting kills due to my positioning. but after implementing this ive started to notice my average kills go from about 12-18 per match back to 25-30 which was my old average. Thanks you so much teaching this has massively improved my duel to duel decision making, and over all has made crucible that much more enjoyable for me!!

Great video! One small thing I wish you mentioned in this video is not to move excessively. It is important to change location, but don't sprint or jump into the middle of engagements; move with purpose. The player with the first trigger pull has an insane advantage (obviously). If you're sprinting, you aren't shooting.

I can directly attest to the validity of this. My first ever rumble win came in D1 by way of Cauldron in a game where I never even thought about the middle. I quite literally ran the outside circle, stopping only for gun fights. I was so excited, I saved the video and immediately rewatched it. Now...I knew my gun skill was lacking, but actually being able to view it out of the heat of battle, i realized "lacking" was actually quite generous of me. Atrocious would be much closer. But even with my inability to get consistent crits, my constant movement would see me to the win.

This video made me realize how good of a teacher Splatoon was for competitive shooters. The concept is one that I understood implicitly and never really thought about, and I'd attribute that to Splatoon's interesting movement system.
Range is more limited than comparable weapon classes in other shooters, and your movement is limited when you don't have your ink on the ground. Coating turf in your ink is encouraged to constantly expand your options, so players move away from places they've inked in order to make their safe areas bigger, and make it easier to close the gap and get a good shot. The game is literally designed to push players into the center of the map regardless of game mode, and to establish escape routes since without them you'll never be able to play against your opponents range and get the better kill shot.

Solid video. I don't do Crucible but my friend does, I passed it along to them. I really like the chill way you talk, and the advice is solid too- it's stuff that I think can be transferred to a lot of other shooters as well.
And as a side note, DAMN- you said you got to 20k in this vid? Less than 1 month later and it's 33.6 k. Clearly I'm not the only one who likes the way you do things, lol.

I heard "two second rule" and thought it was going to be a video going over stuff like "if your weapon/damage output doesn't kill in 2 seconds or less, you are dead." this is just as helpful though, thank you! I had a tendency to sit and wait for... 15-30 to try and keep people away from certain areas, but my k/d has been on the rise as of late when using a sniper rife for the first time paired with a good pulse rifle. movement helps a lot more than the 'sit n play it safe' idea i had

I love all of these videos. My problem in the past is I would try to work on too many things at one time and that never worked out well. It was frustrating when you start to lock something down and then move up into another skill tier. I wanted more time in my bracket to practice the other stuff but seemed to move out of them quickly.

When I was playing Titanfall 2 PVP back then, if I stayed still for just a moment, even just a second or two, someone would definitely be able to kill me. So I learned to always be on the move and kill targets are fast as possible, almost like hit and run. I applied this on Destiny 2 when I started playing on New Light and found it to be super effective as well. Also why I don't like allies who camp somewhere with a sniper rifle, whenever I see someone doing that on my side... 9 times out of 10, we would lose that match...Hope more people know about this for a better crucible experience, both in my own playstyle and others! thanks man, super informative!
Hope you got more crucible medz for us, crucible doctor :)
