Good review. I have a slight variant of this model, 16gb ram and 11th Gen i7. It's been my home laptop for several months and is excellent as a general-purpose laptop. Not for gamers or power-users, but if someone is looking for a laptop for MS Office/general business usage/web browsing etc. this fills the bill nicely. Very good heat management, seldom hear the fan at all, and although the display may not be super bright, I find it just fine for indoors use. If you are trying to stay under the $1k price point, it's a solid choice.
I have the same configuration like yours (i7 11th gen, 16 GB RAM) and unfortunately I am getting rid of it before Christmas. Unbearable coil whine / static noise when 100% charged and still plugged in and unacceptable backlight bleeding on below-average quality screen :(
Hi! I'm planning to buy this 16gb ram w 512 gb. But why do you think is not for gamers or power users? I'm planning to use it for video editing(premiere pro) and I think it should be fine with this laptop
For the price, this computer is great. I’d recommend you purchase this if you are primarily going to use it for college/work (I wouldn’t recommend this type of computer for gaming and video editing… you can use it for this but you probably shouldn’t due to the hardware limitations).

Thanks for the video! Currently looking for a laptop for college and I think this is it. I thought about going for the HP envy, but didn’t like the price range and the one that’s on sale right now is only 8gb of ram.. I saw this on HP’s website and customized it for 16gb of ram with 1 TB of storage. It’s at a better price point(~$700) and has other great specs!
Thank you for your well-considered and expert review. I was a couple of clicks away from purchasing this model, but am now considering a unit that can better suit my needs.
I have this computer in a slight different varient, still EG series, but mine has an i5, 512gb, and 12gb of ram Intel iRIS xE Graphics. Doesn't the power supply connection have something to do with the fact that different laptops have different power requirements, so if you put the wrong one in it could potentially cause malfunctions (including safety issues, such as plugging in a supply that's too powerful for the device)? If the connection was something universal, then you could end up with a fair number of accidents. This isn't coming from me directly, but rather a very tech savvy guy who's known how to build computers since he was a boy. I like that my laptops don't all have the same power supply connection for that very reason, and don't mind the type of connection on them at all.
Hi I have a question my laptop is lenova ryzen 5 I play genshin impact game on it and it heat up so fast and lose charge so fast Is it okay if I keep playing while charging? I also want to install another game called tower of fantasy is it okay if I install it? Its not gaming laptop and also cant take off the battery
Only 1 big frustration. I'm already busy for days to get everything working. I'm blocked from downloading my own protection program by Microsoft and so on and so on. Can't get everything working. Bluetooth not working, etc. etc. For everything else, the laptop seems to work very nice, but......
Thanks for watching! Honestly its a tight one. Keyboard and IO Port selection is better on the IdeaPad 3. While the overall build quality and performance is better on the Pavilion. It comes down to which factor you need the most. Display is subpar on both however the IdeaPad3 does offer a optional touch screen.
I have a 14” Acer Swift 3, bought in color red on February-March 2022. I don’t know if it’s the 2021 or 2022 edition, but either way it’s your classical mid-range laptop: good quality aluminium and metal design, all the standard ports (no sd card slot and only 2 fast-speed USB ports though), pretty solid hinges, full HD display, 11th Intel i5 processor and Intel Xe Graphics, good quality keyboard (typing feels good for me, I like the run and feedback) and trackpad, the usual 512GB/8GB combo; original price was € 800 (I paid € 650 thanks to a promo the store had). Overall it’s a very good machine for daily use - I do a bit of Photoshop on it and I’ve never seen major lagging - and *personally* I would recommend it.
bought this laptop in 2021, 4-5 months in, laptop bricks one day and cut back on without reading GPU. sent to support, they sent it back with a note that read "reinstalled windows". im using it right now to type up this comment, never bothered with it until 2023 due to the job i was working. they clearly never fixed the problem, despite myself reinstalling windows multiple times on the phone with them... incredibly insulting and waste of an amount im too ashamed to admit LOL. cant name a single purchase that expensive in my life that failed so quickly. horrible laptop and company!!! lol!!!!!!

This isn't coming from me directly, but rather a very tech savvy guy who's known how to build computers since he was a boy. I like that my laptops don't all have the same power supply connection for that very reason, and don't mind the type of connection on them at all.
Does it have webcam?
Is it good hot 9 to 5 corporate job?
What's the battery life, when once charged with 100%?
Hi, all those details can be found in this review. Feel free to use the chapter to navigate.

For the price, the best single core performance laptop, very snappy.
True!
@@SoulOfTech how you turn on backlight??
Only 1 big frustration. I'm already busy for days to get everything working. I'm blocked from downloading my own protection program by Microsoft and so on and so on. Can't get everything working. Bluetooth not working, etc. etc. For everything else, the laptop seems to work very nice, but......
Would this laptop work well for music production purposes
I would say so.
Can i mirror with my hp pavilion 15 with a usb c to hdmi cable if not how do i go about mirroring with it?Thanks!
Yes. I have the same hp model laptop and use a dual monitor for work. I use usb c to hdmi cable to extend/mirror the laptop. Hope this helps.
So the flimsy intergrated webcam is not Windows Hello capable, correct?
That would be correct.
How can I fix the Battery Problem?
Great review. If the specs are the same, which is better: This Pavilion or the IdeaPad 3 you recently reviewed? Well done on your reviews 👏
@@SoulOfTech That really helps. Thank you sir 👍👍
This laptop or MacBook air m1 for freelancing purpose???
Same problem , what did you buy tho??😊

Can u review acer swift 3 2022 12th gen
I’ll try to get my hands on it!
@@LucienSabre tq 👍😃
Huge problem is HP is the battery.... It is horrendous...!
Within a year it is dead... Absolutely no retaining the charge... 😬😬

Will i do 1080p 60fps editing in this laptop ?
You can.
Who else is getting this and keeps watching laptop videos:
👇
bought this laptop in 2021, 4-5 months in, laptop bricks one day and cut back on without reading GPU. sent to support, they sent it back with a note that read "reinstalled windows". im using it right now to type up this comment, never bothered with it until 2023 due to the job i was working. they clearly never fixed the problem, despite myself reinstalling windows multiple times on the phone with them... incredibly insulting and waste of an amount im too ashamed to admit LOL. cant name a single purchase that expensive in my life that failed so quickly. horrible laptop and company!!! lol!!!!!!
You didn't show where the power button is to turn it on!
4:40 (between the delete and prt scrn button) at the very top.
Does is work good for architectural works, archicad, lumion

hdd? or ssd?
SSD
i wanna get the hdd. but i just wanna know if it could play call of duty mobile well.
Good Reviews
Glad you like them!
Can this be used for computer programming?
Absolutely. I have a 2018 pavilion and it gets everything done, so this will be more than enough
Depends what you are coding. For me this won’t work as I’m coding large applications. If you are running and programming many applications or games this won’t work. If you are in school programming basic data structures I think it’ll work.
Hey man, i want to buy pavilion 15, for 800 dollars it has amd 5700u, 16 GB dual channel ram, vega 8 iGPU, should i go for it? I only want it for 1080p video editing + education
