aww, the old xfm radio show is (for me) by far the greatest listen. When you hear all the stories for the first time and you are also witnessing great friendships develop.
I've heard this clip a hundred times and just realised for the first time that Ricky's "blind" answer doesn't work because Karl clearly states there's nothing wrong with him at 4:15
@@oBuLLzEyEo1013he doesn’t laugh much, Rick gets him a few times but he outsmarts Rick here and Steve calls Rick out about it, after all the years of the podcast I assume Karl was just over the moon 😂
They’re all mates but I think I can hear a “sore loser” in Ricky’s voice at one point. It’s probably all just joking around but I think it’s really there.
I don't know what's more amazing in this clip; the fact Steve actually sided with Karl or Ricky being stunned in disbelief that he was wrong and only making a sound by laughing as Karl started to celebrate.
Never understood the sport of taking the piss out of Pilkington who is devoid of both ego and a inflated self image and is what he is, the guy is blessed albeit by the fairies but blessed nevertheless.
Karl predicted Google Glass, the Augmented Reality Glasses. Considering he specifically explained them years before they or the technology to create them existed, I am to this day amazed. Maybe one day we will be putting little mops on cats feet.
They always make Karl out to be stupid but he's often right. In one episode they did about the moon they were laughing at karl for saying the same side of the moon always faces the earth but he is right the moon is orbitaly locked to the earth so the same side does always face us
that’s mostly Ricky being incredibly smug and just getting facts plain wrong. I mean he said for years that chimps don’t have opposable thumbs, how ridiculous is that?
I thought there was a massive hail storm with ice the size of tennis balls it happens here and I’d keep me hat on and I work on building sites every day
2:12 Karl's classic little "meeuughhh" that crops up from time to time (aka whenever his crap logic is exposed by Ricky or Steve and he knows he can't defend whatever drivel he's saying)
He has definitely always played up his perceived character. I’ve been listening since the original XFM shows in like 2005 or whenever it was and you can tell he isn’t acting but he does play up himself a bit
Ricky deserve credit for his work on the office. However, his standup is not funny, he's an arrogant militant atheist type and just an unsavory character. Karl is a likable guy, complete opposite of Ricky and naturally funny.
It's more to do with the fact these types of exercises are largely pointless and have trivial small print that makes it near impossible to work out exactly right. But yeah he's almost certainly not as smart as he thinks.
The falling wall scene in the movie to the inevitable replies i'm likely to get, Germans behind the wall & Tom and his boys behind the other wall, ironically because of a helmet placement in the scene, our helmets were shockingly bad in ww2 they looked like they were again ironically there to protect our grandfathers from falling bricks ^o^ . Our modern helmets are still based on the German ww2 helmets, of! why are they wearing those dumb flat helmets we aint firing bricks at em
The best part is that Steve got on Karl's side and triumphantly called it despite their history of having a go at eachother
That's cause Steve is f*cking mean 🤣
This was a long time before Steve and Karl started having a go at each other. This was nearly 20 years ago.
Steve supported Karl a lot in the early days. Steve originally defended the early version of Rockbusters while Ricky shit on it right away.
Karl followed the money
Every stupid reply here... they didnt start having a go at each other, they had banter, it was on a radio show 😅 they were always great mates
Steve: “Karl, HAS WON!”
Karl: “YAAHAAHAHA!!”
I’ve never heard Karl this happy, he sounds completely different
Can hear him laughing a bit etc... It's weird lol
He sounded completely insane
@@CapraObscura 0p
He's funny when he's actually laughing and amused he makes me chuckle
"Brick's don't fall in war" hahahaha mental
hahaha mental, i even think ww1 helmets where specifically created to stop debris and shrapnel, not bullets
Aight, next one
But bullets fly!
His logic is amazing. I love Karl
Tbh karl has one of the warmest smiles ever even though he rarely smiles
It’s “Kahl”
Karl
And he's got the hottest penis in the business too, really juicy and full
The thumbnail is from “Moaning of Life: Happiness” Karl smiles a lot in that episode.
Ricky says Karl “went a little bit mental” but all he did was laugh in the same way Ricky does every 10 seconds
aww, the old xfm radio show is (for me) by far the greatest listen. When you hear all the stories for the first time and you are also witnessing great friendships develop.
So cathartic to hear Karl's cheer of joy as that upbeat song comes on
I've heard this clip a hundred times and just realised for the first time that Ricky's "blind" answer doesn't work because Karl clearly states there's nothing wrong with him at 4:15
Damn, me too. Well spotted!
What's wrong with being blind
@@ThinWhiteDooky lol what? I think the fact that you can't see shit, is what's wrong.
@@patientzeropoint5271 The blindies are people too!
@@ThinWhiteDooky Bro wtf, ofcourse they are, who suggested otherwise?
You are kinda weird my dude.
this is basically the great climax of the whole show, for me. this is the real 2nd christmas special of the XFM shows.
"He's done you Ricky"...
Play a record!
8:17 he sounds so happy 🥺🥺🥺
One of the best moments!
Is that actually Karl laughing it has always sounded unlike him to me...?
@@oBuLLzEyEo1013he doesn’t laugh much, Rick gets him a few times but he outsmarts Rick here and Steve calls Rick out about it, after all the years of the podcast I assume Karl was just over the moon 😂
Lmao Ricky you don’t get to keep interrogating the riddler until he gives you enough information to solve the riddle.
Genuinely the happiest I have ever heard Karl
That´s actually a great picture of Karl. He looks like a novelist.
I love when Karl goes mental it's one of the funniest things there is!
Music is so coincidentally triumphant at the end haha
And it’s a song called Dope Nose.
Dope Knows... Cryptic, innit?
@not me play a record..
@@RichieC135it’s a Weezer song
yeah, well put. that was amazing
Karl has won!
8:14 i love the 3 big beats before Steve says ''Karl has won'' so triumphant!!!
Yeh, it's good innit. Nice bitta rock music n that.
The triumph in his voice. Incredible.
They’re all mates but I think I can hear a “sore loser” in Ricky’s voice at one point. It’s probably all just joking around but I think it’s really there.
After years of being beaten by Ricky, Karl has risen up in a great flame and finally won, what a guy
This is from 2001
@@samkessel5411 I know, and he hasn’t ever won since😢
Like a god damn phoenix rising from the ashes. Gwan Karl!

Love how Ricky tries to save face at the end 😂😂
My favourite moment of any xfm episode. The music kicking in at the end is perfect too
One of few times Karl is genuinely happy :D
For years i wanna see that animated
So true 😂
_Bricks don’t fall in wars, but bullets fly_ - Karl & Steve 2020
“Because bricks don’t fall in wars” that’s it that’s all that ever had to be said
Poetic that the win went into a feel good song, almost felt like a film ending
5:47 "no, that'd be stupid"
LOOK WHO'S TALKING, DAS PILKA!!!
Yay Karl. I think Ricky was genuinely peeved, but he still manages to be hilarious. Is Jane a saint? I suspect she is.
Simp
Peeved... Really?
you can hear ricky crack up when karl is declared the winner and starts celebrating. I think he was a little embarrassed and happy for karl lol
-Why come to London if you're blind?
-To hear the sights
Actually a lighthouse is often on during the day if visibility is poor.
What a great time to be alive and working at XFM
The laugh at the end 😂😂
I can never help but imagining Karl dancing along to the Weezer song after his cheer.
Ricky's ego in full effect
It's so sad we never got to see more of triumphant!Karl
“He’s been working and stuff...I think”
“You think? You’ve made it up Karl you can decide”
I will always love how nuts Karl goes
08:10 the best timed button press in this show's history
What makes the moment great is that they supplied a backing track for this moment so well.
This video with the music makes this feel like the last scene of a movie about these three
Love Karl, he’s the opposite of stupid ☺️☺️
That sentence needs 10 minutes of backstory, beautiful
The thing is that Karl always wins, this is just the first time someone else acknowledges it.
Karl's best quotes:
"I could eat a nob at night."
"How would I know which one I was?"
"Well done."
“Bricks don’t fall in war”

"It smokes... I dont"

Because its funny

thank you so much for this upload, all i ever wanted was to see karl win
Ricky laughing with Karl, love it
The fact this debate plays into weezer makes me like the video more.
Cool on Steve for supporting Karl
💯👍
"Arches follow gravity", "Sand makes computer chips". Karl pilkington
High level intelligence at work.
Both of those statements are true
I love that. Lighthouse keeper.
This picture looks like it could be the cover for Karl’s first solo album
Well done Karl!
When the music comes in it sounds like the happy end to the Karl Pilkington movie
I went for the soldiers on the first one with the hats and was so convinced I had it right

The light’s on an’ tha’ 😂
OMG that was brilliant I needed to have a good laugh, god bless Karl
Ricky should have known the lighthouse keeper had also been painting it that day. Extra shattered.
8:12 Happy Karl 🥰
Before I hear it my guess is they are astronauts
My guess was that they were Jewish and unable to take their hats off for religious reasons
How did this not make it into the animated series?
The animated series is taken from the podcast and audiobooks- not the radio show
But bullets fly?!! Lol. Astronaut and soldier works. As well as builder.
Weh- hey-heeeeeeeey!!!!😁
Karl has always been smarter, he was right about the snails being able to sleep for 3 years too
I wouldnt say smarter, just thinks outside the box more sometimes but struggles to say what he means
