I forgot that a short, straight forward and honest review can exist on youtube. Thanks for pointing out that it's difficult to see the pen tip touch the screen.
i’ve been getting ads for these everywhere, and I was totally getting sucked in by their advertising! i’m so glad I found this review. not only did you show us the up close look, you are so genuine and sincere, thank you so much for this! I was curious of doubling up the matte screen and tip would make it “better”, good thing I didn’t try it for myself haha!!
I love the pentips fiber for drawing on ipad pro. Because of review like this one, i did shy away from trying these for some time. Even when i first tried those, it felt really weird, so much drag i thought. But after a while, it was just the best thing to add precision to my drawings. For me it's better than the feel of drawing on paper as these silicone tips add more resistance. For some, like the reviewer, it's too much resistance, but for me it's the ultimate balance. The only down side is that they last less than a week before they break (with every day use) so i order more than a pack at a time.
Thanks for saving me the time and money of trying these myself. I have been seeing non-stop ads for these on my Facebook feed for the past few weeks and I just had a feeling that they were going to feel mushy just like all of the other silicone pen tips that I have tried in the past.
Thanks for the review! I’m newer to drawing digitally and haven’t explored all the options yet. I’m anxiously awaiting your screen protector review. Keep up the great work, it’s appreciated!
I got these and the lite version, the lites are thinner and feel a lot better. You do lose a bit of precision since you have a piece of rubber on the tip, but I never liked matte protectors either and how they make the screen rainbow-y and have a lot of noise. Oh well! Can't have everything
I've had a mixed journey with PenTips. Their original PenTips, now call PenTips Lite, I think... I liked the feel of them, and used them quite a bit - but they tend to fall off your pen or get lost easily. (They slip on like the PeTips Fibre.) I then tried the screw-in PenTips 2, the original version. I liked how they screwed in, but they were useless to me. They would wear through to the metal point in under half an hour of use. I guess I'm too heavy-handed for those. I just ordered a set of PenTips 2+ which are supposed to be the "stronger" version; not supposed to wear through as easy. I'm curious to see how they handle when I get them.
Do you have any updates? I'm thinking about buying the pen tips 2 but I'm hesitant seeing all the mixed reviews for their products. I like the rubber feel of my s-pen tip on my Samsung s23 ultra, so I'm hoping they'll be something like that.
I got these a while back thinking they were the screw on ones and believed they were durable but I wore through the first tip within two sessions of frame by frame animation, definitely not investing in these ever again
@@DJCoffman lol Well, i have tried them all and they mostly the same but even if they wear down faster then its still cheaper. I just hate that paper like company with their agressie marketing and overpriced goods.

How did they break?!!! I'm worried about that affecting my usage? Was it due to pen pressure or something else? Thanks!
Thank you so much for this. Was just about to buy.

Glad I could help!
Thanks a lot. I'd been debating about getting some, they are expensive. What you say and show sounds right to me.
Thank you for this honest review. It's refreshing!

Thanks Jim! I’ll have the other video up soon!
Thank you!! It would cost me a lot so you really helped me 🙏
What's the little cauldron smoke puffer thing in the background?
Thanks for your honest review!
Thank you!

Let me know how those go! I have the Astropad cover coming soon.

@@roughpuppies1690I have received my PenTips 2+, but haven’t had a chance to really use them yet. They are definately harder than the regular 2’s…
What screen protector were you using in the video?
Thanks Dude

HATED the rubber version, same issue
Why not get the China versions because all these brands buy it there also and put up a insane price markup
I mean you could try knock-offs, but your mileage may vary.

Could it scratch your screen?
No it’s made not to do that
Just received mine, I really wish I'd seen this video before I wasted money on these little rubber condoms for my Apple pencil. Very disappointing.
Sick burn!!!
