    Quick up update on the Apple pen tip rattling around in the box irritation. I’ve just discovered that you can remove the section of the storage case that holds the PenTips tips (There are a couple of recesses in the moulding on either side of this section to grip and pull) and underneath there are two slots that fit the original apple tips perfectly. No more loose rattling apple tips. Now I’ve just got to remember that that’s where i put them! 🤔

      Confirmed! That is quite the hidden storage, it should probably come with a manual. 😄 Nice find!

      @@Leninzkis Thanks! I just retrieved the packaging out of the paper bin to see if it’s mentioned in the info but no nothing. Maybe even Pentips don’t know that the hidden slots are there. 😲😄

    Just wanted to comment and say that you deserve a lot more subs than this, my dude. I was paying more attention to your editing and your humor more than the product you're reviewing.
    Here's a sub from me and I hope you'll reach 10k subs in no time!

    Fun Review. I sort of thought the reason for using the pen tips was to avoid having to use a screen protector / but the tips would reproduce the feeling of drawing on paper or giving friction at least.

    So summarising this, it’s better to use the PenTips Mat than the paperlike screenprotector? While the PenTips 2 wear harder when using PenTips Mat?

      Personally, I prefer the PenMat because it’s removable. I would remove the PenMat if I’m using the PenTips 2. I would avoid using the PenTips 2 with any paperlike screen protector.

    Just got my Pentips 2 hard version yesterday so it’s still early days but so far I’m finding them to be a great improvement on on the Lite version. Those had way too much drag for my liking and I don’t even use a Paperlike screen protector not to mention losing them at the drop of a hat.
    I didn’t order the Version 2 softer version because 1. I thought they would probably drag just as much as the Lite and I wanted to avoid that because I actually like the smooth glide of drawing on glass. And 2. I was hoping for less clack than the Apple Pencil tip.
    I’m mostly working in Procreate and Affinity Photo.Well so far so good in Procreate. There’s definitely less clack than the Apple tip. I have a light touch, so with the the hard tip version the clack is almost unnoticeable and there’s much less drag than the Lite tips and just a little more than the Apple tip.
    It'll be interesting to see how long these hard tips last.
    The one minor irritation for me is ,as you point out, that the apple tip doesn’t clip into the box and just falls out of the slot and rattles about. It would have been a simple design adjustment to add a couple of properly fitting Apple tips slots to the box moulding.
    Other than that, yea so far so good.
    As regards wear and tear, a possible tip for not wearing out the tip or at least wearing it out evenly, especially if you tilt a lot is to rotate the pen between you fingers every few strokes or so. That way you’re not tilting onto the same spot on the tip all the time. Just a thought.

      Great to get some insight on the hard version! I’m happy to report that the Soft ones don’t drag nearly as much as the Lites! I would also put them a lot closer to the Apple Tip. Given how they nice the drag feels, I’m curious about the difference between the Hard and Soft now. 😄

      @@Leninzkis I’m curious to know the difference too but I wasn’t going to shell out for a set of both at that price so I had to take a calculated risk on the hard tips. I did suggest to Pentips that they might consider selling a cheaper trial set of one of each tip but they told me that wasn’t logistically possible at the moment though they would keep it in mind as a future possibility. Can’t see it happening though somehow.
      I think it was just polite email speak for thanks but no.😄

      also, I don't see a link in the description.
      also last question:
      how's your experience 2 months later? do you still use your pentips 2?

    • @Leninzkis
      @Leninzkis  Год назад +2

      I guess the internet is a vast and dark place, and we’re just a small campfire now. But for every wanderer that stumbles out from the darkness we throw in another log. 🥳
      I tend to use the Penmat screen protector as a default, and since it doesn’t go together with the Pentips 2, they don’t see as much use. But there are times when I prefer to just have a Pentips 2 on, and not have to worry about where I put my Penmat when I remove it. Like when traveling.
      Thank you for being attentive, totally missed that link.

    Does it scratch your iPad screen when the pen tips wear through?

    • @Leninzkis
      @Leninzkis  11 месяцев назад

      It doesn’t scratch mine. The metal underneath the silicone is just barely visible, and I noticed the pencil starting to act weird before it got worse.
