- Without a doubt, Joaquin Phoenix is turning Hollywood vegan!
Since accepting the "Best Performance" award at the 2020 Golden Globes and spoke about the dangers of animal agriculture while on stage, Joaquin Phoenix has been on a mission to spread awareness about the importance of veganism for the animals.
After winning "Best Actor" at the 2020 SAG Awards, Phoenix skipped the after-party to attend a weekly vigil with the LA Animal Save.

I regret the same :'( but I'm happy that now I'm. And I am raising awareness abt the cruel side of the animal industry which includes dairy, meat, leather, honey and wool. I'm helping the local animal rescue grps financially. I hope I wud one day join one of these rescues full time.

Same here. I still feel guilt and regret that I caused sufferings to those innocent being. I was also unaware of the dairy industry. We have been raised in this way that we call non veg food as our personal choice. How can it be a personal choice? When u r slitting throats of a living being who didn't chose to be murdered. :'(
But now I'm a vegan, and in other words don't eat or cause pain to the animals.
My journey to become vegan started because of Joaquin's speech at the Oscars. What he said made so much sense.

A Canadian animal rights activist could face up to 10 years in prison for giving water to pigs heading to the slaughter on a scorching summer day. Toronto resident ANITA KRAJNC, 48, was charged with criminal mischief after clashing with the driver of a tractor-trailer carrying pigs to an Ontario pork processing plant in June.
Krajnc and a fellow protester tried to give the pigs water as the vehicle was stopped at a traffic light on the way to the Fearmans Pork processing facility, about 45 miles south-west of Toronto.
A video of the incident shows the driver, identified in court documents as Jeffery Veldjesgraaf, climbing from the vehicle to confront Krajnc. “Jesus said, ‘If they are thirsty, give them water,’” she tells him.
Veldjesgraaf responds: “You know what? These are not humans, you dumb frickin’ broad.”

Becoming Vegan you will be healthier .
It really depends on what you eat as a vegan to whether it's healthier or not. I know vegans who are overweight and have high cholesterol because they eat the processed stuff and not the whole foods. Doesn't matter if you're a vegan or meat eater if you eat junk you're going to be sick.
