Thank you for all you do, Ed. I'm in the process of becoming a volunteer with Challenge 22! I imagine it will be very rewarding :) I've been getting very depressed from thinking about the vystopia. Your videos always lighten my day and remind me I'm not crazy for standing up for the animals in this way
Ed, I came here after watching your video from today highlighting the news clip from WISN 12 Milwaukee which is where I live! As you stated, Joaquin was simply stating the truth about the dairy industry where the calf is ripped from the mother hours after birth and that the product in which they enrich themselves with is not designed for human consumption! Its for the baby calf! Thank you Ed for all you do to enlighten the world!
@@mskidi someone being weird doesn't mean that they're wrong. And still, he could be wrong about everything else and still be correct with regard to his Oscar's speech. We do inseminate cows, take their babies when they're born, which doubtlessly causes distress to the animal, and then we take the milk that was intended for that calf to live off of, and use it in our food/beverages. Whether you're vegan or not, that is true.
“Do y’all really want to starve?” I’m sorry but I don’t think there is anyone who lives solely off of dairy products stop thinking you’re so important mate
For real. I can sort of see where people are coming from defending meat (not saying I agree with it) but milk? There are 0 reasons to defend dairy, people should know by now that we don't need titty milk from another spieces to have "strong bones". It's fucking disgusting
@@83uwb The Bible actually says that you are not supposed to drink milk after babyhood. In babyhood, we drink human milk, so that means no cow or goat milk.
A person who needs to drink cows milk to prove that they are "manly" is definitely one of the biggest oxymorons. Milk is for the baby, not for the "grown-up".
Caw's milk is for her baby, like a woman's is for her baby. Milk is a product made by the mother because the baby has no teeth yet in order to chew. What's so hard to understand stg so simple and logical? If an adult wants milk go and milk your old ugly mama. Imagine that.
Its so easy to understand now that a cows milk is for her calf like human mother gives birth to new born child its that child’s milk. Do you see people going to hospitals sucking on new mothers breast milk really. I better shut as someone might get some sick ideas. If cows milk was to make your bones stronger you have thought people in old age would have super strong bones. But they can easily break bones and hips. The diary industry is full of crap not manly to drink milk just stupidity
I never even considered going vegan before but after hearing his speech and seeing these dairy farmers being petty, I am won over by the idea of going vegan.
Watch "Dairy is Scary" and or the undercover sting op at Fairlife Farms. The longest ongoing joke over my 38 years was how much cheese I consumed daily. It's been since June 27th and I have zero cravings or deprived feelings. Actually picturing the process when there's a delicious cheese in front of me makes the sides of my throat tingle as if I'm about to vomit. Being completely transparent, I doubt I would have succeeded five years ago. But the abundance of options and evolution of vegan foods makes it incredibly easy. I know everyone lives life on their own terms and I choose to go dairy free for the tortured animal moral issues, not for health at all. HOWEVER, I did nothing different in my routine and I lost all of the bloating I had for decades. I had learned to deal with bloating but I lost about 26 lbs and the bloat simply by vigilantly avoiding dairy. I did grow up on meat and potatoes and personally loved it. Some vegans hate plant based meat as they already hated meat itself. But I loved it and there's something for everyone! Full transparency you will have to learn through failure. Just like anything else, not everyone loves the same thing. Go to Sprouts and Trader Joe's, you'll feel like I did. A mortified deer in the headlights. Truthfully though, they aren't judging you! You don't have to learn how to cook either. You can do fast food or buy tons of veg and fruit, chop it up and make whatever you want! I never thought I'd find a dip to replace my ranch. Then I found gold! Good Foods dips, the queso flavor is... well there are no words Halo Top ice cream made with coconut milk and only 15 grams of fat in the entire tub! So Delicious carmel coffee creamer, I could go on and on.
wonderful! I never considered going vegan either but two years ago i came across some facts that gave me "no choice" but to go vegan and two years later i can honestly say it's the freaking BEST decision i ever made in my life!!! Leon Lawson I don’t know how you can take that comment as anything else than a troll but anyhoo i don’t remember saying it and it’s definitely not meant to be taken seriously.
I've found both the vegan ice creams and yogurts to be superior to dairy versions anyways in taste (not to mention health!). So many people out there are just way too programmed/deluded to even try them though.
Bare in min dairy free apparently is not vegan, if it says that. It's still made with proteins of cow's milk. Found that out the hard way, so you don't have too? Always stay vigilent and amist the n*zi gov't propoganda! 🤬
He was the only one among all those stars and attendees who had the balls and the integrity to say anything meaningful and worthwhile. Yes, they gave him a standing ovation, but how many of them will take his words to heart and modify their selfish and inflexible habits of consuming dairy? Their concerns are only for their fame and the meaningless awards bestowed on them. Joaquin is a hero.
@ichew gum It wasn't about who cares. I was just agreeing with the first comment with my own thought that I had at the time. I agree with you that it is ultimately a good image.
@K Rr that's the point; to be using one's platform for more than a gratuitous self congratulation. What is the point of "just another lefty"? Is that supposed to be derogatory? I'd love be just another lefty. Every addition to 'just a lefty' points to an overhaul of an outdated system full of bigoted injustice. Count me in.
@K Rr I thought it full of subtext. I agree with @LT. There was a great deal in that speech, and not telling people what do, and reaching out, by way of self example in expressing gratitude for 2nd chances, was exemplifying the compassion that he implies we should be exercising. It seems to me to be a hugely brave thing given our current paradigm, to have done. And it isn't as if he hasn't been saying this and doing this work, all along. He has. Maybe it was an act, given his skillful use of talents, yet it certainly felt authentic and truely from the place of gratitude and love.
Nikan Angelos A farmer can’t get another job. A farmer earns his position as a farmer. You can’t just magically switch jobs when you’ve worked hard for one your whole life. An animal getting another life is irrelevant if they were raised for meat or if it’s completely natural to eat them.
It's *possible* for farmers to get other jobs. Maybe not easy, but still possible. However, it's completely *impossible* for the animals to get another life. Breeding beings into existence, does not give them the right to kill said beings.
Eco-friendly Vegan Geek Oh god not this argument again. A farmer shouldn’t have to go through the ridiculous and unnecessary stupid procedure of changing a job simply because vegan idiots don’t understand morality and reality, if it is even possible for them to do that in the first place. I don’t care whether it’s “*impossible*” for an animal to get another life, since their life being taken was justified. Don’t stupidity tell people what you think they should have the right to do or not to do. If you breed animals it is perfectly okay to eventually kill them if done for the consumption of meat. Since the issue here is a moral one it just have to tackle it this way. There is nothing wrong with taking the life of an animal if done for the purpose of food consumption. There are instances when killing is okay and even should be done, e.g, self defence, euthanasia, in war, when punishing a crime worthy of death, for the consumption of food, etc. You might say that these instances are life threatening and aren’t comparable to meat consumption, and you would be wrong. When you punish a death row convict with death, the people killing the them don’t have their life threatened but it was completely justified, but even so that is still irrelevant, as it’s still moral to eat meat even though it isn’t just for survival as the act of simply consuming food is not evil as fulfilling your basic human function is not evil. “But how is it not evil to eat meat when you could just chose plants and save a life?!” Because it is still completely natural for us to do so, and just because we can survive on eating plants, doesn’t mean we should or should just suppress our natural instincts to eat meat, just as we shouldn’t suppress our other instincts. Also the act of taking the life of an animal for food is not evil, so whether I can to save it’s life by eating plants is irrelevant as the life being taken was justified. “But nature isn’t morality! Also not suppressing your natural instincts justified rape and murder!” As for the first point, wow. So you admit that you’re against nature then, if you’re going against it due to its lack of morality? But hypocritical coming from someone who claims to be eco friendly. You of all people then should realise then the nature doesn’t give a shit about our morality and that it is how the world works and if we go against it, we are fucking it up. That is something that we have to live with whether we like it or not, as the world or biological life doesn’t work by human morality. If we value our morality so much than we will have to come to a compromise with nature, that will prevent our humanity while respecting nature and the eco system. We do this raising the animals in conditions that are the best for them and ending their lives as humanely and peacefully as possible (which is something you can do? Many vegans don’t think it’s possible to kill something humanely, which is just flat out false).
I have so much respect for Joaquin...he has been a vegan since he was 3 and has been a passionate activist for animal rights for years. Earthlings, and his narration of same, was the reason I became vegan. Sorry, dairy farmers, but I trust the words of a man who does not wish to be in any way responsible for the suffering/death of a living creature, over yours. Period.
Martha Plimpton has really the sweetest story about River, they were out eating and River had to leave the restaurant when her crab came. Being very young when their family went vegan I don't think they got that jaded the way most of us are, its pure horror for them.

A good friend grew up on a dairy farm. When I went vegan he insisted I come and see the farm for myself. So I did. He showed me everything and in the end, with a smile, asked "So what do you think?". He legit thought I would be excited...I was horrified. Cows milked around the clock. Bulls tied up nearby. Calves taken. Distress. Hormone injections. I was thankful he showed me. If I was even 1% unsure before the visit, he took care of that.
"You'll thank me later." "I'm doing this for your own good." ...and many more. All cries of the sick homo sapiens on this earth that torture us, sometimes with schadenfreude. I have so many stories! But here's one: When I was very young, my boss sat me down with a visiting friend of his. I was excited. I was about to learn first hand how this man had made his many millions. Little by little I realized that he was just a pimp. He had (made and) sold Korean prostitutes to American soldiers during the Korean war. I'd never met a prouder, more respected man. I was vegetarian for decades, but not vegan until recently. If I'd had a friend like yours, I would have been vegan this whole time. Ironic.
@Adam A. Please provide a single example that is as horrifying as manually forcing a cow to be pregnant, stealing her baby, slaughtering it for veal, then later killing the mother after she's passing out from exhaustion, then eating her too.
I will cheer for the day dairy falls. They hate him cause he's telling the truth and sales are declining. Next stop for decline is the meat industry. If I live long enough to see them fall I'll be overjoyed.
Hopefully the decline of the dairy industry will trigger the fall of the meat industry, at least for cows. So much meat comes from dairy cows, with them out of the picture, meat will be (even) more expensive to produce.
Who are you lot kidding. Yes you may reduce the sales so butchers can’t stay open. But what you will do then is force more to go to big supermarkets that get there meat and milk from the farms you lot so hate. Try stopping all the Chinese and Indians from cooking meat. You have no chance. Old people dnt listen to this stuff I asked my Nan she’s had no idea what I was on about. She still goes and buys her meat. And so will I. And my son. We dnt like veg on its own no matter how it’s prepped
@@benjaminnicholas8746 I said trigger, not eliminate. I agree it's less likely old people will listen, as they're more set in their ways (generally). But younger people are more willing to listen and change, which is what we're seeing. Needless to say, there are also plenty of meat alternatives besides veg. Whole plant foods, mock meats, etc. I also said I'd never be a vegan, but it's so easy now! It's hard to predict change.
@Aidan BUTLER you only restrict yourself by consuming the same animals your entire life while vegan food abundant and delicious. Your taste buds are not a justification anymore.
These dairy farmers are acting incredibly childish. Seriously, they‘re basically saying „You say drinking milk is wrong, so I‘m gonna drink milk to spite you“ which is a very clear example of childish behaviour.

It's shocking when you've been living in a illusion and you find out things are not as you thought they were. What Joaquin states in his speech is the most unquestionable truth. I then went on a rampage rage discussion against Monsanto, DuPont and other industries and corporations that profit on the misery, suffering and deaths of all living beings, especially that of humans (starvation is due to lack of redistribution and rights to be ones own farmer; again the evils of Mosanto making it illegal to save seeds and making growing food impossible). Lets just say I had one student congratulate me on being the first teacher he ever had that he truly paid any attention to, because I spoke the truth everyone was afraid of or don't know about. It is moments like that which makes me not regret going into the education field. We are suppose to EDUCATE, not indoctrinate.
I was actually taught this in school and for the longest time I thought cows always had milk. One day, I looked it up myself and was very confused when I found out they had to be pregnant to produce milk. Especially considering how we can simply go to a grocery store and buy milk, it seems to be an excessive amount. We are taught to be consumers, even if it's misinformation.

I was growing up on farm, a small farm, we usually had 5 or 6 diary cows alongside with pigs, chickens ducks etc. I'm 37 year old now so that was a while ago. And everything what Joaquin and Earthling Ed have said about calves taken, milking cows to sell milk to local people in our case just to make money, leaving the baby females for diary cows and sending poor baby male bulls to slaughterhouse when they a few or several months old it's all true. I was growing up and thought that this is all normal. Well it's not! When baby calf was separated from mum the same day or sometimes 2, 3 days later they both were crying for weeks day and night. So glad I grown up and became vegan now. I just regret I did it so late! Once I educated myself about consuming diary/meat/eggs and how unhealthy it is for us I changed overnight.

@@chuffsie You could add tobacco farmers to the list, though. It's more a big-picture analogy than trying to quantify how much people care. Dairy farmers, slave owners, tobacco farmers: all relevant and successful for a long time until people started peeling back the layers. Slowly they started to say, "No. This is no longer who we are. This does not make us thrive and evolve." And slowly things changed and are changing still. Same idea.
“Masculine” dairy farmers drinking estrogen filled baby formula from another species to assert their masculinity? People are finally realizing that dairy is for baby cows. Milk is for babies and isn’t interchangeable between species. The fact that ADULT humans drink milk from a DIFFERENT SPECIES is outrageous! So grateful for Joaquin and you Ed for teaching the truth! Great vid!
@SoggyBreaad What animals will and won't do is irrelevant to what we should and shouldn't do. What you actually should be thinking when you're drinking cow breast milk is that a cow was raped for it, then a little calf was denied that milk that was meant for him, separated from his mother and stabbed in the throat just for your momentary taste pleasure. Anyone who knows what happens in the dairy industry and supports it is despicable, and in my eyes, inhuman.
CynicalIdealist you’re welcome to have an opinion but you should recognise that your view on it isn’t some objective morality that all humans must follow.
@@cynicalidealist11 I do think about it. And I don't care lol. I've watched slaughterhouse footage from Joey carbstrong and was close to going vegan. I saw the pigs being stabbed and was horrified to be honest. But then they gutted it and sawed it in half. And omg I dribbled hard. I was looking inside this dead animal that I was nearly crying over, and my reaction was hunger. I saw food, and my other emotions went away. That's honestly why I like Joey despite not agreeing with him. He saved me from becoming vegan by reminding me that my instincts know better than societies bullshit morals.
The other day when I was driving home from work I stopped at an intersection. Parked next to me was a large stock truck waiting to turn into the street of my city's largest slaughterhouse. I heard banging coming from inside the truck, so I looked through the little gaps - it was full of beautiful young calves. They were staring at me, frightened. I felt incredibly helpless. Here in New Zealand we slaughter over 2 million (and in the past 3 million) male calves each year as they are seen as byproducts of the dairy industry. If people had to watch these adorable, innocent creatures in fear while getting their throats slit, I would hope they'd think twice about their consumption of cheese, milk, butter, and ice cream.

Dairy farmer: We have an important job, we help feed the world! Plant-produce farmers: Are we a joke to you?! Also how do they "feed" the world when the crops produced to feed the animals could have been given to humans right away and reduce world hunger?!
The fact u just used the term plant producing farmers is just stupid. Also here's some news for you. Lots of dairy farms also sell arable (plants) depending on the land they farm on.
@@JCHexlad We are keenly aware on how they grow and purchase their food for the cows. That land could easily be tilled the right way to grow beans, corn, wheat, etc., that is NOT genetically modified to be for cow consumption only. For every one cow fed for her short life, milk is "produced" that "feeds" humans an unhealthy commodity for an average of 1/220 of their annual nutritional needs, ounce per ounce. That same acre of land could feed the same number of humans 1/14 of their annual nutritional needs, ounce per ounce. I know it's tough to wrap your head around, but the land used to feed cows is not efficient, that's the denouement.
@Colleen De koning Good thing I'm not talking about the Google definition. But well done for managing to use it. By definition yes but the same owners will also have the capacity and land to sell crops which are plants and the term is arable. The point I was trying to make is that there arnt these divisions amongst arable farmers and dairy farmers. Also maybe look up the term mixed farming.

Respect for Joaquin Phoenix and for you for speeking up. “Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion against injustice and lying and greed. If people all over the world...would do this, it would change the earth.” ― William Faulkner ---
I grew up in the Dairy industry and went on to become an award-winning Dairy Cow Judge for the FFA. I also consumed milk and all the other dairy products, until I realized what happened to me and my family. My grandparents, parents and then myself wound up in the hospital with heart disease as a result. Then my beloved wife had a heart attack and a stroke which paralyzed her and put her into the nursing home for 18 years now. Can you farmers imagine why? Regrettably, I was one of you. I quit it for ever. Will you, please? Get a healthy job and stop this horrible practice!
@War Dog your off your meds son better lay down and take them and stay off here because you Are insane if you believe that. You need to go to a huge dairy farm and see the cruelty and hear the cries, I did for years and it still haunts me because they are BEINGS with FEELINGS just like humans. Your a sad man~
@War Dog Ethical and dairy are contradictions in terms. We need fruit and veg farmers. Animal farmers are useless in providing anything besides pain and suffering. I haven't eaten animal products in 14 years, perfect health. Go visit Ryan Humistons channel. That vegan dude is a beast!!
@War Dog The difference is I don't harm others with my choices .... vegans are trying to stop insanity .... I was part of the madness....14 years later I'm feeling so much better ....physically, mentally and of course ethically
I've been giving my 17 year old son soya milk for ages and he didn't notice !!! Eggs have gone...vegetable only meals are more than 80% of our regular meals... we are getting there .
Good for you. I just wish that there was better education to everyone, so that we could start to do this much much sooner for our children. We will get there, i hope.
@Lobster Venus You have strange notions about what constitutes child abuse. All the children suffering at the hands of abusive parents out there and you call someone who cares about the health of their child an abuser? lmao
I don’t think you should substitute, too much consumption of something like soy can have its own problems in itself.. in moderation it’s fine, but like so many people who have 5 lattes a day and substitute milk for soy.. better to start enjoying black coffee or just a dab of soy and get your nutrients like calcium from rich greens and fats from nuts, seeds and vegetables like avocado etc..
Ah, so telling the truth is going too far, I get it... The fact is that most people seem to want to be lied to (and then they complain about others lying to them).
That was supposed to be the farmers "debunking" Phoenix? That was almost like a promotion for him seeing as they totally confirmed everything he said lmao 😂😂👏👏
The fact that these farmers are reacting and emotionally stirred is a positive sign that all the activism efforts are working. Every action is not in vain. 😊 Put-downs and insults are signs of vulnerability and insecurity. This is exactly when we have to keep pushing forward and not back down on our convictions and fighting for it. While losing a job can be a scary thing, that does not warrant torturing and exploiting other beings. What is more important - a human's job or the fundamental rights and freedom of countless innocent beings? I'd choose the latter in a split second.
The hate comes from the guilt and despair they carry in their hearts because the truth hurts! Thank you for what you do, Ed 💚💚 Applause to Joaquin Phoenix! 💚💚💚 GO VEGAN! 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚

@James Furey Hey I love how you just allowed a different perspective and thought about it objectively. I am a vegan and I do see a problem with hunting - there are many videos that explain the matter better than I could, maybe check out some! Whatever conclusion you come to, though, avoiding products from factory farmed animals is a huge step in the right direction as pretty much none of the meat we eat daily is from hunted animals and dairy and eggs certainly never are. So thanks for being open and I wish you the best!
@James Furey Hunting would be an understandable practice if it was necessary, but in most parts of the world, it isn't. It's often for sport, which is quite wrong in my opinion. Not trying to be rude, my thoughts. Can you explain what about domestication you think is twisted? Genuinely curious.
All I see is iron, concrete and shit behind that farmer. How can that possibly be a place to keep living beings. "Come down here" No need, I can tell from here.
The dairy industry is basically like the horse and carriage industry when automobiles started to gain popularity. Dairy farmers: "Do you think we're losing the battle?". Yes. Yes, you are. Find other industries where you can better serve humanity and the planet, instead of exploiting. "Dairy isn't going anywhere" - yes, it is. It's going the way of the horse and carriage.

@vDosc UV7 well... like you said, they're carnivorous. They eat according to their biology. We don't. We eat meat and dairy because we're taught to, which resulted in a large number of people getting heart disease, cancer, diabetes, etc. We were never meant to consume those products to begin with.
@vDosc UV7 this is revolved around milk though, we are not lions nor biologically carnivore modeled beings, its a behavior that has been taught from centuries of consumption of meat, its no longer necessary and barbaric. We're the only species on the planet to take other animals excretions to nutriate ourselves, in rare cases it does happen out of survival and miracles amongst the animal kingdom such as certain animals being able to breastfeed young of same or different species and provide them nutrients in states of biological stimuli. Its miraculous to me that people continue to defend all of this injustice with an argument based around an entirely different species

A person who needs to drink cows milk to prove that they are "manly" is definitely one of the biggest oxymorons. Milk is for the baby, not for the "grown-up".
If you say so.
Good Foods dips, the queso flavor is... well there are no words

"A farmer can get another job, but an animal can´t get another life" - Earthling Ed
Nikan Angelos
A farmer can’t get another job. A farmer earns his position as a farmer. You can’t just magically switch jobs when you’ve worked hard for one your whole life.
An animal getting another life is irrelevant if they were raised for meat or if it’s completely natural to eat them.
Mr Otaku well said 👏🏻
It's *possible* for farmers to get other jobs. Maybe not easy, but still possible. However, it's completely *impossible* for the animals to get another life. Breeding beings into existence, does not give them the right to kill said beings.
Does nature equal morality?
Eco-friendly Vegan Geek
Oh god not this argument again.
“But how is it not evil to eat meat when you could just chose plants and save a life?!”
Because it is still completely natural for us to do so, and just because we can survive on eating plants, doesn’t mean we should or should just suppress our natural instincts to eat meat, just as we shouldn’t suppress our other instincts. Also the act of taking the life of an animal for food is not evil, so whether I can to save it’s life by eating plants is irrelevant as the life being taken was justified.
“But nature isn’t morality! Also not suppressing your natural instincts justified rape and murder!”
As for the first point, wow.
Joaquin is the embodiment of a real man, standing up for what is right. The voice of us all. Vegan power, increase the peace

@@JCHexlad Dairy industry rapes cows and isn't necessary for our health.
Your word games don't change that.

Great argument! Will use it now
when I was a kid my mother told me (and genuinely believed) that cows spontaneously secreted milk and that getting milked was actually a relief for them. 🤦♀️
thank god the world is changing !
Same! Now at age of 22 I have been vegan for 2 years. And also converted my mom too!
I was told that bullshit as a kid too.
That doesn't makes sense cause how did wild cows survive without humans or baby cows constantly always there to drink from them?
Lets be honest, dairy farmers aren't known for their brains. Most dairy farmers I've meet aren't very self aware.
"come to my farm Ding Dong" - yes, he's been to the farm with cameras and made a pretty good movie out of it called Earthlings (free to watch online) and that movie changed my life. All humans should watch Earthlings.
That film did it for me, too. 🌱
Dominion too!
@@crystaladele I couldn't get through that one. I barely made it through Earthlings. That's when I asked myself, if I can't watch or listen to the way my food is made because it involves torture, then I should change what I eat.
omgg was that really him that had the undercover camera the whole time ? ik he was traumatized doing that :(
I listened to it the other day... I'm already vegan for a couple of months now but I wanted to see this movie cause I heard so much about it... I barely been able to finish it, I cried all the way to the end. Really powerful movie, if I wasn't vegan I would have been right away. Everyone should watch it.
I was blown away when I saw his epic oscars speech! I was like omg did this actually just happen! I was almost in tears 😭 Amazing speech, balls of steel and spoken from the heart. A true hero who used his Oscar winning moment to talk about the animals and not himself! Selfless and brave! Joaquin Phoenix we are all so proud of you and grateful to have witnessed such a moment in our human history. I think the aliens 👽 🛸 are even talking about your speech up in space!!! 😊
✌️ 💓 🙏
Right!! This world need people like him.
One day I’ll be proud of myself for becoming vegan while using animal products was still accepted by society but jaoquin is on another level.
I "like" how the calf is feeding from a bottle when it's mother is supposedly not separated from it
I seriously admire your constantly calm and matter of fact nature, it made it so easy for me to become vegan :) keep it up
Grateful for Joaquin Phoenix and Earthling Ed, for all their animal rights advocacy! Truly inspiring. They are saving animals and changing minds.
Love how dairy is being dismantled.
I also made a Video in German about the dairy lie. Joey also made a powerful Februscary video about dairy....
But the fact that they are joining us now, to help take their industry down is so empowering. 🙌🏼
Thanks Ed. Great video. Best regards, Tom from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Dairy farmers "whackin" phoenix
I think global farmers perhaps even subconsciously know that their industry is on its way out, hence the strange behaviour
they know. the meat and dairy industry, actually one and the same are in defence mode. big time.
That's why sad farmers are leaving graffiti saying that "going vegan is worse for the environment and health" farmers are shitting their pants like JR. Also apparently soy transitions men to women 😂😂 they're desperate and afraid 💚🌱🌍
Thank you, Ed! 💕
Dairy isn't going anywhere. Dean Foods and Borden, two of the US biggest dairies went bankrupt within 2 months of each other at the end of 2019. Oat, soy, rice, hemp, coconut, etc. milk isn't going anywhere, that's for sure.
Dairy and meat are like the horse and carriage industry - veganism is the automobile.
@@nikkilengyel um bacon
@@black_caps um bacon, yeah I used to spout that crap to. Then I went vegan and suddenly a whole world of food opened up to me. Life is so much more than bacon and even if you really do love bacon that much a fleeting moment of enjoyment doesn't excuse an animals death
Drinking chocolate soy milk watching this, couldn't have gone any better
same here! chocolate almond milk and cookies tastes so much better than cow titty juice.
@@ailinh911 Indeed it does my friend :D
@@Yorker1998 Lmao. That is the most bizarre "not vegan, but..." comment I have ever read.
@@AlextheENTP Whatever happened here?
Got tons of notifications from this comment, and then i see this one reply to someone who doesn't even exist in the comment section anymore xD
A strange occurrence indeed
So proud of Joachim Phoenix for speaking the truth in front of so many people knowing that only few are not consuming dairy.
If Joaquin is Vegan God, then Ed is Vegan Jesus
not sure for Joaquin but Ed IS Vegan Jesus anyway ! :p
Masilya111 Gary Yourofsky is Vegan Buddha
Reckless Dreamer idk bc James Aspey screams zen
I would expect Buddha to be a bit calmer though 😆
Don't forget Moby!
I love how that farmer said he wasn't gonna watch Joker as if it will affect the fact that it made over a billion dollars. It's so ironic because that's the same 1 billion dollars the industry he's working in lost (the dairy industry). Good video as always Ed.
loooool he mentioned it in his oscars speech??? I fucking love him to bits now! He put himself on the line there massively cause he really cares! What a legend. Rooney Mara, his partner is a goddess too!
I never knew the dark side of the diary industry untill i watched eds dismantle diary video. To be honest most non vegans are nieve to the truth of what happens behind closed doors.
Props to joaquin phoenix for using his platform to open peoples eyes and spread the truth.
Thanks for all you do to help the helpless ED watchin your videos last year made me go plant based 🌱 and i havnt looked back since. Stay strong and keep doing what you are doing dude
I don’t think anyone can logically argue with what you’ve said here.
@@StevenZissimos I mean we're omnivores, hell even chimpanzee are omnivores I saw a video of them eating a monkey, the fact is people are still going to eat meat no matter what, the only thing that Peta might achieve is taking away slaughter houses, and having a more humane way in putting down the animals for consumption.
@@dennisthemenace8825 incorrect. If we are omnivores, then why are our bodies best suited to a plant-based diet? It's been well documented throughout scientific literature that humans are herbivores. Believing yourself to be an omnivore is one of the biggest causes of mortality, resulting in increased risk of heart disease, diabetes and many other diseases. @@StevenZissimos interesting, I'll give it a check on the sources.
I used to be a really big meat eater, on January the 3rd I had a horrible experience with how my body handled the meat of the day before I ate, that was my hit point. On the 5th of January I decided to try veganism and studying documentaries and seeing how poeple had positive side effects. I'm proud to say I have 2 months being vegan and will not go back to eating meat. I've had so many positive side effects and not to mention the weightloss I've always wanted to loose, I am constantly learning more and more and I love it! I have energy to give out!!
Hope you will not use animal products either as these often put animals through torture just to get what belongs to them in the first place.
can’t wait to see a dairy-free future
The days of dairy are numbered. #VegansUnite
Numbered, but that depends on how high you can count.....and how much time you have on earth to count that high.
Andrew Shaw it won’t be that long
@@phoconti6715 Wow, are you also religious, because religion will die before dairy farming is stopped. Hopefully.
Andrew Shaw are you a baby cow?
We can have ethical milk and eggs.
I've been watching this channel and it convinced me to turn vegan, and it was the best decision of my life!
I live in rural Wisconsin. I’m always driving past dairy farms where it’s easy to see dairy calves in tiny crates in the cold weather separated from their mothers
