Calves are separated at birth, they never get to be with their mother or get weaned naturally. And most are shot at birth, not just the males but the surplus females that they dont want to keep for the next cycle. The ones that are kept are kept in tiny pens alone and force inseminated themselves when they are 1 year old, still a baby. We dont kill kittens and puppies at birth or separate them within hours or even minutes of being born and keep them in isolation, away from their mother, just so we can take her milk for ourselves. And we dont force impregnate them so they will produce milk for us when they are still babies themselves. Hope that helps

      @@matevzrakun1448 @Matevz Rakun and what do you do with the cows? Keep them forever until they die of old age or send them to slaughter? What do you do with the calves? You give an anecdote about your dog and your cows, this doesnt represent all cows. Neither does it all dogs. Some dogs kill or reject their puppies. And many many cows grieve their calves as another person on here who had a dairy farm has said. I live near one and you hear their aguished pining cries. I believe over years they know what is going to happen and sometimes become more subdued, but its a quiet depression and sadness then that is almost worse. Yes vegans have an issue with dairy farmers and always will. They make their money force impregnating and exploiting animals and taking away their young. And no matter how well some of you may say they treat them, and im sure some do have nice conditions, the small dairy farm near me have wide open fields for their small herd, the process is still the same. Their babies are taken and in end end every single one of them is sent to slaughter. They are all treated the same at slaughter, no matter how well they were raised. They go in terrified, get strung up by a leg and slashed open. Horrific. You cant claim that is showing love or kindness even if you are not the one who physically kills them, you are the one sending them to that end having given them a lifetime of using their bodies for your own profit. If a human paid for a hitman to kill someone so they could claim the life insurance, noone would agree that was kindness or love even if before the killing the person had been given a nice life by the one who sent them to be killed. And every one of them is so beautiful and capable of responding to kindness and love. On monday i played music to the herd near me, they all came over, pushing to get as close as posible, lifting their heads silently to the sound, genuinely enthralled. More responsive and curious to stimuli than many dogs. It is a crime the cruelty we inflict on these gentle sentient beings.

      @@matevzrakun1448 your justification is that animals will die anyway? Dogs are put down when they are sick or old. Your cows, who have come to trust you as you say, are betrayed and sent to a horrific death for no good reason. It is even worse to do this to an animal who trusts you. Your theory could apply to anything or anyone, you could say oh this person might die a horrible death further down the line, therefore that justifies me killing them now and robbing them of their lives. In fact the oldest remains of humans ate grains and even gladiators ate largely a grain and vegetable diet with a vegetable ash drink to recover. Saying we have done something for a long time is no justification. Humans were crucified, tortured, hung, drawn and quartered for a long time.For a long time, women had no rights, couldn't vote, had to marry who their father's said. For a long time homosexuals were put in prison or chemically castrated and people seen as inferior ethnicities were kept as slaves. Doing something for a long time is usually an indication for change. I wonder how you feel sending the cows off to slaughter when they have come to know you? Like any condition or circumstance, when you are born into a certain lifestyle or culture, it is the norm, and you are desensitized to the reality of it. If English isn't your first language you write very clearly. We will leave it there as there is never going to be a situation where you and I can agree.

      Is it wrong for a lion to eat a gazelle, is it wrong for a chimpanzee to eat a bushbaby? In the united states the animals are legally supposed to be stunned, aka they do not feel pain when they die, plus, some farms give the animals an amazing life. Also, some animals cannot feel love, affection, fear, pain, or anything, so what stops you from eating them?

    • @jacksonh2083
      @jacksonh2083 3 года назад +3

      1234 Im not going to partake in infantile squabbling, i respect your opinion but you are simply wrong. If a lion isnt a valid example, then what about omnivorous creatures, what about a chimpanzee? If a chimpanzee kills a bushbaby, is that immoral? I believe i already replied to your comment but it was removed by youtube, so ill reply to it once again. Sometimes lions hunt and kill for fun, sometimes they kill just to kill. They do not always go for the oldest gazelles, they go for whatever gazelle they can catch. And since older gazelles are slower, they are easier to catch, but guess what, young gazelles are also easy to catch. Lions will kill newborn gazelles and not think twice. Humans do not consume and consume, we, just alike lions, can divide a singular kill into numerous meals. We just do this on a more developed level. You claim tools make the hunt unfair, however, sometimes hunters die even with their guns; and get this, some chimpanzees use spears to hunt bushbabies, is that wrong? You are criticizing our ability to not waste food, does this even need proper addressing? Animals are intelligent compared to nonhuman animals. The smartest dolphin alive right now is inferior to the dumbest human alive right now, intellectually speaking. They play certain roles, you are right, so do you support the slaughter of invasive species? You know, species that are not naturally found in an area and so the prey lack any form of defense, or is this disruption somehow understandable? In the united states farms are legally required to stun, so if they do not stun their animals then the farm can get shut down, aka near all of them stun their animals. Genetic modification isnt immoral, we are talking about introducing this to humans as well, so that we can be superior to our current versions. I will concede with you there, i agree, they can make our antibiotics useless; hence this is a valid point, it is a valid reason to go vegan. There are but a few good reasons to go vegan, this happens to be one of them. Though on a small scale, and this is an uncommon reason to go vegan(it is on a small scale), this protest will not go far. So while i agree it is a valid point, hardly any vegans go vegan for this reason. Farms often times have good and or decent conditions for their livestock, the issue is the usage of antibiotics which cause these “diseases” to rapidly mutate. This unnatural mutation rate threatens us, as if we cannot produce antibiotics that can keep up with the mutations then we are defenseless. Lands are being stripped of their “beauty” due to overpopulation, so if you want to protest this then do not have kids. Deforestation, global warming, desertification, etc., are all a byproduct of overpopulation. For the last like hundred years the population has doubled every forty years, we are growing at an extremely rapid rate and soon this will be the end of us. We are omnivores, there are numerous nutrients/vitamins/etc. that are only found in animal products. Aka, without our advances in science, without our ability to artificially harvest these nutrients/vitamins, we’d suffer. So it is clear that we are supposed to regularly eat meat and vegetation, as we need a constant intake of nutrients from both, and until recently we could not get these nutrients without animal products. You claim meat is behind stupidity, that is ironic, as around the time we started eating meat our brains became more developed. This is irrefutable and observable, so your opinion on it does not matter. You act as if genetic modification is bad, as if numerous vegetables were not artificially created in labs, as if we have not genetically modified fruit/vegetables so that they are more resistant to disease. You know broccoli, corn, etc., were all created by humans, numerous vegetables/fruits/etc. are not naturally found in the wild, we “frankensteined” a lot of them.

But the books you read and the people you follow train you to learn that you NEED animal products to live and you simply accept without experincing the truth- We became humans from apes becasue of the thinking brain, just becasue we needed something or did something thousands of years ago dont mean we continue for eternity, how is that evolution? that is ape shit !

      pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/10378206/
      Yes, we ate meat to survive earlier, but that was when we lived in caves and didn’t understand concepts like greed, gluttony, sin, etc, we dint know fast food joints, modern medicine and lifestyles- I don’t think you evolved at all because you want to constantly go back to the thousands of years logic and will keep harping about that as you have fallen for propaganda books who dont want you to understand or experience the truth ! People like you don’t want to progress and neither do you want others to evolve and learn- science is never stagnated, experimenting and experiencing new ideas is the foundation of science; if we all start to behave like you do, we would have still been a society of flat earth theorists!
      Lastly as far as evolution is concerned it’s a synonym for change and adaptation- if you don’t adapt per the change in the environment you will perish, again it don’t matter what you ate thousands of years ago or what worked hundreds of years earlier what matters is are you eating per the changes to your environment and lifestyles today?

Review it and pick out what you think you need to improve on and then apply that to your next recording. From there you can practice in front of a mirror. Ask a family member or a friend to review your recordings for constructive criticism and pointers. I myself have struggled with stuttering or even forgetting what I wanted to say due to nervousness.

As I have continued to research it and the recipes I needed to make that switch, I have become more aware of the impact that animal agriculture has on our environment and what these poor animals are going through. I think you would be surprised at who is watching sometimes and the impact these channels are having. Am I completely convinced that I should never eat a piece of meat again? I really don't know. But, I have only had one piece of meat in over a month and when I think about eating something like that, I think about the things I know now and I don't follow thru. I end up eating a plate of broccoli and mushrooms with some potatoes on the side. Education has been the key to my change of heart and eating. I’m sure some livestock farmers can and do have a day to day level of concern and compassion towards their animals and care and love them to an extent but at the end of the animals life the farmer has benefited from the animal and the farmers interest in the “well being “ of the animal was for financial benefit and not the benefit of the animal to live a healthy happy life left alone to do as it pleased and just exist. It’s a different kind of compassion ....Not saying you are wrong , just saying that sometimes the meaning behind and opinion or statement is a little deeper and it goes a long way in life to try and understand others views and why they feel that way....and yes there could be certain scenarios and exceptions to anything .To me this is more of a statement about MOST farmers not necessarily ALL . While cows are more developed, and as a result of this they can feel complex emotions, most cows likely forget about their offspring all together, they wont mourn their child like a human would. Of course they might mourn their child, but does that make it wrong? We think we are the species of the highest value, yet we exploit those which cannot defend themselves, who are helpless and at our mercy. Because we have a greater understanding, we also have a greater responsibility, to protect all of the childlike, innocent beings, rather than using them and absorbing them and causing unimaginable pain, all in the name of greed, gluttony, and narcissism.

      @@jacksonh2083 I guess I always felt that my meat consumption was way to high and that because of my low income I was supporting the most awful practices. That always bothered me. But I couldnt change my behavior and I still had the opinion that eating animals is ethical when done humanely. It was when a good friend of mine went vegan who told me all the arguments so I had to challenge this belief. It didn't last. Are you vegan yourself? I'd be happy to go more into detail if you're thinking about making a change yourself :)

    • @jacksonh2083
      @jacksonh2083 3 года назад

      KleenerBro i was a vegetarian for about a year, i am not vegan, in fact im mostly against veganism. I think there are only two good reasons to go vegan, one of which is related to antibiotics, and the other is related to health issues, anything other than these is, in my opinion, fallacy. We have linked veganism to neurotransmitter imbalances, to mental illnesses and to an increased risk of a stroke. I get what you mean, but what about the animals that cannot feel anything, like say jellyfish. Jellyfish lack a brain, they cannot feel love, pain, fear, or anything, they just aimlessly float around without any form of sentience. If you think eating a jellyfish is immoral, but eating a carrot is moral, i think that is oxymoronic. They are basically the same, both are living creatures that are without any form of sentience.

    • @jacksonh2083
      @jacksonh2083 3 года назад

      KleenerBro also, what about chimpanzees? Is it immoral for a chimpanzee to eat a bushbaby? If it isnt, then why would it be immoral for us to eat say salmon, which is extremely healthy.

    • @KleenerBro
      @KleenerBro 3 года назад +5

      @@jacksonh2083 Does your diet mainly consist of jellyfish? Are jellyfish filling up dark barns, littered in their own crap? There are many grey areas in veganism, to which I don't have all the answers. You have to figure that out for youself. I personally don't eat jellyfish as well (which I wouldn't even know where to get?), but I think from an ethical perspective you are right about that. I would however educate myself on this topic beforehand, because I'm not a biologist and conciosness is a tricky subject. Some people say they will try out insect meat when it is avaible, because they don't really think of them as animals that can suffer etc. I also would like to add another layer to those kind of questions: is this feasible for all of humankind? Could we feed 7 billion people with jellyfish or ant burgers? If everyone ate them, what impact would that have on the earth?
      Your second claim is really strange. Do you think chimpanzees have the same moral agency that we posess? So far, we are the only species on this earth that can even think about what is ethical or non-ethical. There are many examples of things a chimpanzee does that you yourself would deem immoral. For example rape each other, wage war against each other for tribal reasons, throw around poop. You wouldn't condone any of these with the same logic, would you?
      Also, I would love to see your sources on Veganism beeing linked to strokes, mental illness etc.

      @@Chrysanthemum808 You can just remind them every now and then to go vegan, it might take a few years before they do, and it can be very stressful along the way. If they throw anything in your way "I like meat cause it tastes good" then try to argue against those points, every point they bring up you should be able to bring down. Maybe they'll realize your point and change in a few years. I've gotten several family members to become vegan even after years of them saying no, but it can happen. It was not easy, and there were debates and arguments. It might get heated, but it plants some seeds for them. Yeah it takes years, people are slow unless they wake up to it themselves.
      Some other suggestions are to just put up Earthling Ed's speech on the TV or something and put up the volume loudly, have them watch it, have them watch Game Changers, etc. Wear some vegan clothing, make yourself a fit, healthy, great example for the vegan movement. Over time people change because people generally agree killing animals is bad, they just don't realize how much harm they are causing.
