    As you know, I look at your haul and repoting session as a fantastic learning experience. I love rescue orchids because I hope to learn. Only a year into orchids but even failures are ok. If they survive it is a bonus. At least this is what I keep telling my wonderful husband as I walk in with some inexpensive unhappy plants and he rolls his eyes.

    • @EmaansGarden
      @EmaansGarden  3 года назад +1

      Hi. Everything is ok with your vanda. If it is still in a vaze, take it out from it. Because vandas like air so much. Don’t do what I did. My vanda was loosing it’s leaves every day. That’s why I did what I showed in this video. If roots and leaves are green leave it as is. Flowers fade after some time. Vanda flowers do not last long . Plant started blooming long time ago before you purchased. And it is normal. How often do you water? Sometimes plants get shocked from changing environment. Try to feed it. I use same fertilizer for my vandas too.
      Just water it and feed once a week. And nothing else.

  • @alicer3423

    Hi Emaan, Couldn't you wrap plastic wrap around the damp moss, instead of the string, so you would not have to mist it so often? Like air layering a tree branch.

    • @EmaansGarden
      @EmaansGarden  5 лет назад

      +Alice Roten Hi. No I want it to breath. It has to stay sometimes moist sometimes dry. If it stays constantly moist it can mold or not root. I tried with my cherry trees that method. Instead of rooting it turned black that place where I wrapped. This is not tree, its stem differs from tree stem.This method makes roots to grow. Thank you for watching and for question.

      +Sumita Biswas Hi, thank you. If my orchids are yellowing their leaves I feed with calmag and epsom salt. Epsom salt is very good for greening the leaves. One time I feed with calmag, next time with epsom salt. And put them in the place where it can see sun light( not direct, filtered sun light) . It will recover very fast if you do this

    Do you Think it has Fusarium wilt?

    • @EmaansGarden
      @EmaansGarden  5 лет назад

      +Denise's Orchid Paradise may be. But it was not too much. When we were in hotel in Florida this vandas were better. I put them outside in balcony in a shady place( it was shady in the morning, but....). But anyway sun burnt it. When we came home the climate change effected to them. Fusarium wilt 3 years ago I had in my cucumbers. In one day from nothing they wilted and died. In orchids it is hard to differentiate either it is fungus or FW. I don’t know time will show. I’m doing my best. Thank you for watching and for your comment.

But later I understood that their leaves were broken. That nursery sells only high quality orchids may be that’s why they throw away orchids which are not looking great

      Sirene 74 No , treating for me didn’t cost any money. 1 orchid is 18$. Orchid food is 4$. You can not even compare. The only thing what those orchids need is love, care ,comfortable home and sometimes food. When they bloom for us we will forget everything. 😊
