    Rainwater does wonders to orchids. Since I started using it, all my remaining 5 phals are growing leaves, roots and buds. 👍

      @@EmaansGarden but collecting rain water is not an easy job. I live in an apartment in a big city. 🙈I catch rain water in a cup through my window. Can't get a lot of it, but it was worth trying. 2-3 waterings with it did a miracle to my phals. I alternate rain water with distilled and tap water. I use 125 ppm of fertilizer each time ( calmag+seaweed or just msu).

    Wires get too hot or too cold, that's why its damaging the leaves when leaves are touching it for a long time.

    How Emaan, I just referred your video to someone who has now a dehidrated and rootless vanda like yours shown up in the video. I ' ve been looking for an update of this video just to find out if your applying technique with moss around the vanda stem became succesfull or not. I could not find the final outcome. I Hope you finally saved your dying rootless vanda by now. Thank you.

    Emaan, I’ve missed you!
    So glad you’re covering Vanda’s today. I just got 2 the other day. I’m thinking just keep the roots in water and out for 24 hours every 4th day. What do you think?

    • @EmaansGarden
      @EmaansGarden  5 лет назад +2

      I think you will rot your vanda roots if you keep it 3 days in water and take out for 1 day. I have 4 healthy vandas. I’m growing them differently. 2 of them I hang all day and leave them in water till morning. 2 vandas I put sometimes in a bucket of water but once a day I spray water. 1 of 2 is sitting in a clay pot, the other one is in a glass vase . I spay water only once a day. You have to see how your vandas react to the water. If you see positive results you can do what you are planning. Before trying you will not know. But I think 3 days water is too much. Because when I sprayed the roots which are in glass vase in clay pot some roots started rotting and stopped spraying them many times. I see that once a day is good, they like it.

      Hi, what is the updates of these? Did they survive?
      I just bought 12 Vanda trees and I am studying videos to see how to take care of them and learn what to do when something bad happen to them... Specially the rescue part. I hope you can give me update on what happened to your Vanda. Thanks

      @@EmaansGarden It would be very helpful to know what mistake you made and also which Vanda did better, the one that had a few roots or the one where you removed all the roots because they were dead. Thank you!

    31:23 your cutting live roots there alive for god's sake how idiotic even if there unhealthy they still give nutrients and water to the plant
