    I've seen some people bashing the fords for their quality issues and how badly they are made and the quality control sucks and stuff, but ford's super duty , medium duty and light dutys are hands down the most tough trucks out there, lasting more than 150000 miles without a hickup

      I wish that could be said for my ‘19 f150 king ranch. At 70k, it’s getting the cam phasers replaced as I speak (out of warranty too), at 50k it got a new transmission, at 30k, new turbos, passenger head rest rattled, got it fixed and it broke again a couple of months later, the drive seat warmer stopped working last year and at some point the leaf springs had to be replaced; all on top of the list of recalls. Tbh, I’m fed up with the p.o.s. and am considering something else after it’s out of the shop.

    Great to hear about your experience. I have a 2023 F-350 standard output PSD, and that produces more than enough power for my towing needs.

    I had a 2020 that ended up just being my daily for everything. I did love it. My wife and I were travel nurses and I had a Tundra TRD Pro that I had used for 3 years to tow all our crap all over the country. Once we bought an actual Cargo trailer and loaded it down with our stuff, it proved a little much for the tundra when we went through Nevada on those long inclines. So I used that as an excuse to get the F-250. We landed in Northern California at a gig for 2 years and ended up never leaving and became permanent staff - hence the truck becoming a daily driver. I felt that I no longer needed the truck since we settled and it was somewhat silly here in the Bay Area driving this behemoth around and scaring all the Teslas. So I traded it for a new Porsche Macan GTS with some nice options. Just took a 2 week vacation where we drove the Macan to Vancouver BC. Holy crap it’s not nearly as comfortable on long trips as I thought it would be. Seats are awesome, but not for 8 hours. It’s a blast to drive, but I never realized how much truck stuff I need to do here and there. My long winded question - do you think it’s just dumb to get back into an F-250 Tremor with the HO 6.7 if I’m not going to tow, but I am going to daily drive with some long trips and light off roading here and there - also I do art shows and need the bed for my display/tent. My other thought is just get the ‘24 regular F-150 Raptor. Still fun, but has the truck capability and comfort w/o the diesel maintenance.

      @@CTECH-REVIEW Sorry - that was a long winded question. Basically I'm asking your opinion as to whether you think buying the HO 6.7 f-250 is unwise if planning to just daily drive with no real towing is involved vs Regular 35 Raptor.

      @ctdieselnut 11 месяцев назад +1

      Im not the guy you were asking, but ill give you my 2 cents if u want.
      Diesels are great in a lot of aspects, but id feel silly driving a 3/4 ton truck if i never needed to tow/haul (even lightly/occasionally). Sounds like a 1/2 ton would work for you, you wouldn't be driving a tank of a vehicle around empty daily. These things are monsters(as you know, u had a 2020 f250), they don't fit in regular parking spaces or smaller drive throughs, garages, etc. You mention a raptor, those things are nice. They're inherently comfortable because of the squishy off road long travel suspension. Plus you still get a bed to haul stuff. Both the raptors and super duty powerstrokes hold their value well, but i think the diesel does a little better. People complain about the cost of a diesel option, but if you pay attention to fuel prices in your area, figure you will get 30% better mpg with the diesel, you can do the math to see at what point you break even in fuel savings alone. Have to add in increased sales tax/reg./ins./maintenance. I think when i figured the numbers out a couple yrs ago, it would take something like 100-125k miles to make up the extra $9k option and other costs(gap between gas/diesel prices have widened since then). But, the thing is, diesels retain their value better than gas jobs. If you kbb any two 5-10 yr old trucks spec'd the same, with the same miles, one gas one diesel, you'll usually see the values are off by about what the engine option upgrade costed new. So you save money on fuel over it's lifespan, then get the engine option money back when you get rid of it. Hd trucks with gas engines suck on gas, it gets old quickly. 3.5 EcoBoost is a great motor tho, different ballgame than the big gas v8 mpg's. 3.5 eb loses its efficiency advantage over diesels if you tow heavy, but that shouldn't matter to you.
      Might make sense to get the best of both worlds, 1/2 ton and diesel. Gm/ram have a diesel option in their 1500's now, idk if you're opposed to gm/ram, but that may suit you better.
      Idk your situation exactly, so it's hard for me or anyone else to say what's best for you. If you can afford the truck in the vid and want one, i say go for it. Easy for me to say, it's not my money lol.
      I tow/haul equipment on a daily basis, and I just like turbos and diesels, so it's a no brainer buying diesel hd trucks for me. On the other hand, i also love my little 15 yr old ford ranger fx4 for when i don't need big truck capacity. But, if i had to choose only one, it wouldn't be a compact 1/4 ton truck.

      Just get a diesel. Life is too short to compromise if you can afford it! Beside, it won't lose as much as that Porsche SUV you got! It can't do 1/4 what a 6.7 Tremor can and you know it!!!

    Thanks for the video. My '23 is a 7.3 because diesel doesn't really work for my needs. I love the truck and the steps are a great addition. No more tire climbing to reach into the bed. A month in and so far as comfortable or more than the ram 2500 I switched out of.

    Thank you for your review! I test drove one last night and traded in my 2019 king ranch. I was all about wrap around leather until I test drove the ultimate package Lariat Tremor. That ride no doubt is ridiculously comfortable. I had to walk out of dealer half way through deal, decided to drive the same route in my 2019, and sure enough, the Tremor ate up the concrete joint thumping so well, I called the dealer back and said I was on my way back in. Ford has made me so proud, what they have accomplished in 4 years is crazy cool. Oh yeah, the notches in bumper and side wall are the main reason I wanted the 2023. Props to Chevy for getting that right. So glad Ford was humble enough to acknowledge and give us die-hard Ford Fans the same functionality. Great review! Thank you!!

    I wasn't a fan of the "glacier grey", but yours really looks nice. I don't understand why Ford doesn't offer some better colors, though. Personally, I like more chrome, too. I know that's not cool these days because of the enviro nazis, and climate change. I could care less. If I could find a Tremor in the "star white" or "rapids red", and lots of chrome, I'd probably buy one.

    Ford absolutely SCREWED up the instrumentation! The 2022 & earlier had clear easy to read analog gauges! This has a bar graph for speedo & tach! Looks like a clown show!!! Even Honda has a better setup!!! If Ford designers are clueless, just COPY PORSCHE and be done with it!!! Clear needle on a dial face! Stop with the gimmicks - that tells everyone you have no game !!!
